We were very lucky to discover this place through family who live in the area. The setting is spectacular- nestled among trees overlooking an enormous lake. The food was just beautiful and tasted absolutely delicious. We were quite a lareg party and tried pretty much everything! All of it was geat- fresh and delicious. Highlights were the home made gyoza, fried tofu and trout sushi. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great selection of drinks too. We capped off the evening by the lake as the sun went down. Honestly this place is amazing and I would not have believed it was real if I hadn't eaten there myself :) Highly recommended and get there before everyone else finds out about it!

The best Japanese restaurant I’ve been to outside of Japan! The food is absolutely delicious and the setting is just idyllic. It is only open through summer (May to September) mainly because it is mostly set outside. I would highly recommend a visit if you love good Japanese food. We will definitely be back very soon!

Such a great experience, friendly and warm welcome, the food is amazing, actually faultless, Sushi is my favourite and with a good selection on the menu to choose from, you cannot go wrong. Each dish tastes amazing and is beautifully presented. It’s so fantastic to have such lovingly created food in a beautiful spot, it compliments each other perfectly. There is nothing I can say that is negative - staff, food and surroundings all beautiful! If you are local, or on holiday this is a must do visit. Can’t wait for next visit!

We only discovered Sushea a week before; we’d been eating at the Boat House regularly but never walked further along Fore Street. We both love Asian food and love the Australian take on it - Japanese, Korean, Indian; it all goes together. There’s loads on the menu, from small dishes to mains and plenty of drinks too. I had a roti taco - crispy Indian flat bread filled with Korean squid and a great fresh, minty salad with a citrus dressing and chilli and mayo. Tracey has a salmon poke bowl with looked superb; really fresh with loads of ingredients. We also had some maki rolls and tuna nigiri. Everything was spot on and we’ll be back to try the food we didn’t have this time. Octopus balls, bao buns, more sushi, curries, Yakitori … it’ll take us a few visits
