Sahil Street Food in Mendip

Found this place by chance and were glad we did. It’s a little gem. We had the cold take out to heat up later as we were staying in our caravan. We only had two main courses, and both were really tasty and full of flavour. I had ordered the lamb kebabs, but they cook them fresh so decided to not have those this time. I wish we had ordered them cooked anyway, as even having them cold later I’m sure they would have been nice. Will definitely go again to try out the other choices. Simply, it was just good food done well.

This place is lovely for a well priced, tasty curry. I've been here a few times and want to try more of their specialities but I always cave and go for the butter paneer which is so good. I always pick up a side of samosas too because the ones they make (I'm assuming they're homemade) are amazing. Best I've had. The curry and rice portions are great too. You definitely don't come away still hungry.

The food was very good we got the lamb karahi and vegetable curry with rice and naan bread. I would definitely recommend and go there again! :)

Delicious food, small, 10 seats , but worth a visit. Recommend the home made samosas. Cannot understand how this place was not on my radar as a local.

I rang up to ask about space, (there was nine of us and a dog). The member of staff on the end of the phone was patient and politely arranged it for us all. We arrived late yet they were perfectly accommodating and seated us. We made an extensive order. We sat down and the waiter bought all our food in. They didn’t make any mistakes with our order. And towards the end of the influx of food we were running out of space yet the waiter juggled the food and found space for everything. They took all our needs onto account. Helping with allergies and spice levels, even helping the kids pick! I am definitely coming again and couldn’t be more impressed! Thank you for a lovely meal out.

Recently came with my partner when on a camping trip, and we liked it so much we have returned a week later! Beautiful food and really well priced!

We are visiting Bakewell and were recommended the food here. What a find! The food was delicious and didn’t cost the earth. We were made very welcome and were so pleased with our meal that we returned a couple of evenings later to eat again. Would definitely recommend Sahil’s.

Ordered a takeaway for collection to bring back to our holiday cottage. Wow. Amazing food - piping hot. Standout dishes were the butter chicken (huge chunks of tender chicken), lamb karahi (lamb extremely tender and delicately spiced), samosas and chapli kebabs. We ordered additional dishes too - we actually ordered too much as we assumed the street food portions would be smaller than what they were. Highly recommend.

This is a really wonderful little cafe and takeaway. Everything we had was outstanding freshly cooked and a real depth of flavour in the spice. Anyone who likes Asian food will be in for a treat. They also have another restaurant in Denmark! They are open in the evenings if you want a change from pub grub

First and foremost, the food is undoubtedly remarkable! An easy 10/10. The cafe is quite small (5 tables or so) but has a relaxed vibe. Iqrash was very open and easy going, yet the service was fast. The quality of the meat in our butter chicken was just superb. Iqrash's father is a certified genius. Wish I lived nearby!

Found this little gem on an off chance, ordered a few different things from their menu and it was delicious. The tikka wraps were divine. Chicken was flavoured and cooked to perfection and the salad and sauce made it the perfect wrap. Stunning food
