Hajee's Fish and Chips in Birmingham

Cheap and cheerful fish and chips. Didn’t try anything else this time but good service and value for money.

The service has been absolutely horrendous especially from this one worker. I had found hair in my food that was not in any way similar to mine and he was not willing to give me another portion. He then gave me my food after a lot of arguing and then told me to leave the shop.

Excellent. One of the best chippys on cov road. They accept card, minimum spend £5

Fantastic service, food is great and tasty especially for that mixed doner I had yesterday which was delicous and perfectly cooked. I'd recommend you guys trying it. However, one thing that could improve the takeaway is to have the option to pay with card.

Use to visit here years ago, thought would try again as was passing by. Very sad to see the place has gone down hill. my son was throwing up all night. Chicken was undercooked and the hygiene level was terrible, and to top it off he gave a warm can of pop. Very disappointed

Solid local chippy, serving people with consistency and reliability. Can't ask for more. No frills, just what you need.

Food is very good value for your money Chips are always fresh Good food, maybe pay more attention to customers when they come into the shop rather than having a chat with staff and watching tik tok on your phone.

Best chicken and chips in small heath

We decided to try both cod fish and chips, along with masala fish and chips. The chips stood out with their pleasing taste. However, the cod fish was disappointingly rubbery, marking it as one of the least enjoyable takeaway fish experiences ive ever had, despite my frequent fish consumption from lots of places. It's possible it was just an off day for them. On a positive note, the masala fish offered a delightful flavour experience. Additionally, the prices were reasonable, adding a favourable aspect to the overall dining experience. In summary, the chips were enjoyable, but the rubbery cod fish was a letdown, redeemed by the tasty masala fish and reasonable prices.

Since I moved to Birmingham two months ago, I have been visiting them almost 3 or 4 times a week, just to get that Masala Fish and Chips. The food quality and quantity never disappointed me. Highly recommended!

Amazing food ofc all places has their downfalls which can be worked on overtime but hajees in my eyes Is a place to try out food Is always tasty customer service Is on point and service is pretty quick for how busy they are usually other places can't get all 3 On point buy they have hit the nail on all 3 definitely recommended

Worst thick oily food, worst donner kebab ever. On the top massively over priced! Would have been cheaper & better quality if had gone to KFC. Govt should ban these type of dangerous food takeaways as these are as harmful as some of the banned drugs. Putting more pressure on NHS.

This chicken burger was not properly cooked and the chips were really hard. I've had this in the morning and I'm getting stomach pain and diarrhea. The food tasted really bad but yet too expensive. I will not be finishing this and I DO NOT recommend this at all.

This is their so called Grilled burger. Literally chicken was uncooked and smells coming out of it. Only the lamb donor was ok. Price was high but food was completely garbage 🤮

I just went there and they made a special order for me of battered chipps and oh my god they was delicious, light and fluffy on the inside and a nice crunch on the inside. I definitely recommene this place to anyone who loves great services.

We have been visiting this chip shop for the last 10 years. Hands down, the best service we have received at any place in Birmingham. We always stop by every time we visit the city. The owner is very friendly, and clearly cares about his customers. The food is very tasty and made well. The chips (yes, actual chips and not fries!) are made from freshly peeled potatoes. I would definitely recommend this place.

Sick to death of these cowboys charging you random prices depending on who it is. Every time I go in I get a different price for Niblets and chips. And tight with portions. EDIT: I don't mean the prices were going up systematically. That would make sense. Your prices go up AND down and up again depending on who is serving. I have noticed you have put the prices on the boards now which is much better. Now you just need your servers to use a calculator to add up the prices correctly. Maths geniuses they are not.

I come here now and again, especially now inflation. But this shop prices are great for current times. The 2 main guys that serve me are polite and very fast and efficient. I cant fault anything except the ques are so long

Came here from cardiff last week ,was trying to find another fish and chip shop we usually visit by the name of hajee talibs, glad we found this instead as the fish was larger with a bigger portion of chips and tasted amazing but for the same low price.

Love their masala fish in a naan. Have been eating here for the last 15 years. Quality and taste are always amazing 👏

Food is cheap and tasty. My negative point is they are Very inconsistent with how much they charge and I have ordered same order multiple times and they charge me different.if you are in the que if they know some body or any women comes in they will serve them first don't care if some one waiting there before. recently the food quality is gone down a bit but over all an average food spot

Chips are little dry. Cod batter isn't crispy but edible. Maybe cook the fish a little longer in the fryer for better quality. Bit pricey but will try another meal on my next visit . So redemption time then for the chefs here

Ordered 2 donner and chips with a a portion of nibblets. When I got home and had the food ,the nibbles were raw inside , had to throw them all away . Dont think il be going there again.

Food hygiene rating for this place is zero..look it up. Ordered yesterday and got diarrohea. Place looked really dirty..I should have walked out. This place deserves zero stars.

Good place if you're looking for take out on a budget. Food is tasty and value for money and they have a fast service. Overall clean but could probably do with an update I.e fresh lick of paint

This is the second time i bought chips from hajees and the chips are undercooked....there is a weird texture to the chips while eating, its as if there's sand in it. its disappointing as it use to be good but now the quality has gone down..

This is a top food shop. Extremely low and reasonable prices. Never had any upset stomach or food poisoning from here. The fish pakoras is what I come here for. Great value on them. The other stuff like grilled chicken is nice too. It does get very very busy and long queues pretty much all the time. But they serve people pretty quickly. No idea how the prices can be so low.

Very bad experience. I got burnt and raw chips. The price of my order was £17.00 but I had to pay £20.00. Very disappointed. I tried calling the shop several times but always went on voicemail or the phone was off. It would be a of time going back. For one portion of 'burnt' chips I had to pay £2.00. Very bad experience. I don't think I will ever go back to Haji's. They deserve no stars but I had to give one star for this review to through which I didn't want to give.

Awesome food as always, had to down vote because for the first time since going to Hajees for around 10 years I found a piece of hair in my food. Please wear hair nets. It really put me off my food. Disappointing. I'm pretty sure it was that guys beard hair. It was really short. If you wear hair nets, wear beard nets as well
