had been to the cricket at the oval, we live in surrey and oxfordshire , so not known to the area, can honestly say if I lived close it would be on my go to regular, very good quality food, thank you

Brilliant food and service - all members of staff so friendly and polite. Good value for money with portion size. Ask for your salad plain without oil if that’s more to your taste. Very relaxed and quiet environment - would be great as a date spot or just to catch-up with a friend.

We came here for a midweek dinner and were really impressed with the food but most importantly the service from Julia. She was quick, attentive and lovely and a real credit to the team! Thank you!

I’ve been to this Hache several times and I’ve been impressed by the service each time. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I like having lots of different small plates to share but the burgers are great too. I especially love being able to sit outside in the sun with one of their cocktails or their lemonades (the blueberry and lavender one is a favourite!) I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Real nice pleasant little burger restaurant in which we undertook an impromptu Father's Day lunch. Real nice and excellent and attentive staff from start to finish which made it an enjoyable experience. An assortment of food was ordered which was really good. What couldn't be eaten because we were over-stuffed, was nicely packed in containers for us to take home.

This was our first time at one of the Hache restaurants and I couldn’t recommend it enough! Especially after a late night out, us two had to get three burgers, two sides and of course a few cold beers to revive ourselves! The staff were more than friendly and the service was impeccable. Bang average , the full English was a small pot of chopped tinned mushrooms, a single skinny rasher of bacon , a sausage and a couple of bits of toast oh and an egg. Really is that the best you can do , even the bacon was cooked to rock hard . I ate in the Chelsea restaurant a couple of years ago and it was so much better , a nice large mushroom, a few bits of bacon and overall enjoyable I don’t like giving bad reviews but it was just a bit disappointing

Treated my youngest son, 16, to Hache following a very busy day for us both. Chose the Fume and rosemary fries. Service first class, food excellent, ambiance just right. Really pleased we visited.

Honest review Just another restaurant which looks great on instagram & in pictures but NOTHING LIKE THAT AT ALL!!! Very disappointed, went there last Saturday after work as we were starving but unfortunately we left the restaurant very disappointed & make no mistake restaurant was empty only us & one more table. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 sides & couple of drinks, one of our sides was chicken wings ( please have a look stat of those wings, i will post pictures) dry & very tiny rether tasteless its cost £7.75. Pictures should speak to itself. Burger was very average but customer service was top notch by Ana & other geeza didn't catch his name unfortunately (5 stars) but one can't justify those wings or food we get served. We were planning to order more food but I'm glad we didn't & definitely won't be going back there any time near future.

Little Planted Kitchen is advertised as a “socially vegan” “100% plant based” kitchen when in fact it is just a brand name for food cooked in the same kitchen as Haché. Because of this we were sent a meat burger with bacon and cheese wrapped in a little planted kitchen wrapper which a vegan who is lactose intolerant ate a bite of before realising. Haché was only able to offer free burger (which we refused) and a refund but they won’t address the fact that their little planted kitchen advertising is a scam designed to fool vegans into believing they are something they are not. Despite saying a manager would call to discuss it they have failed so far to do so. We will not let it lie until they warn vegans in their advertising and on their menu on Deliveroo that their kitchen is also used to make meat. Seems reasonable, don’t you think?

Despite arriving at the beginning of service, the table and seats were covered in food. Even after asking for them to be cleaned both were still covered in grease, onions and breadcrumbs. Ordered a truffle burger and couldn’t taste any truffle at all. Asked the waiter was it supposed to be in the sauce, on the burger? He didn’t know and just apologised instead of offering to fix it. £30 each for a burger and fries, no alcohol. Complete rip-off and won’t be returning.

I had such a lovely experience dining at Hache in Balham, south London, that I just HAD to write a review. It’s so much more than a neighbourhood burger place; it’s destination dining! The place is beautifully decorated, more like a Michelin-starred restaurant than a local eatery. We tried three of the cocktails. All were beautifully presented and high quality, and generously sized for the prices (around £8 each). I DEFINITELY know my way around a London cocktail, and I highly recommend Hache Balham’s! The food was pretty special too. I had a vegetarian cheeseburger that was as close to the real thing as I’ve ever tasted. The beef and chicken burgers received hearty thumbs up from my (adult) kids. We loved the rosemary chips with aioli and truffle dip. I’m craving some this very minute! The tables were thoughtfully spaced for these covid times, and there are two big booths for larger parties. I want to mention our servers, Lenny and Nikolina, because they deserve a mention. Thanks, Hache Balham, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff amazing service and great brunch and lunch menu. Discovered this lovely gem, in Balham whilst initially trying to get a table at Megen’s next door. Rude staff not seating us at empty tables led us to this restaurant twice in the last two weeks! Actually pleased they were so snooty and unhelpful - we discovered Hache and enjoyed a wonderful brunch twice in the last two weeks. Lovely menu and wonderful attentive staff! Thank you once again we will happily return. As for Megen’s your other branches are nicer - attentive staff! Hache - we will see you soon!

My family and I went to Hache in Balham for my birthday. The staff were very friendly, patient and attentive. We really enjoyed the food and felt completely at ease whilst there. Monday evening was quieter than the weekend but this made our evening even better. Great food and great service.

I went for a casual meal in the evening with my vegan friend, and I was eating vegan as well. We were warmly welcomed by the manager on duty, and she explained the vegan options in a patient and friendly manner.

Go for the ‘Steak Canadien’ - it was incredible!!!! No other sauce needed, you know it’s a great burger when you’re not reaching for the ketchup!!!

Hache is the ultimate pick-me-up. I went there the other day with the sole aim of cheering myself up, and it did not disappoint. Between the comfort food, the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly staff, Hache had me sorted.

Popped in for a quick late lunch during a quiet period for the restaurant. Service was friendly and swift. Was looking for the Steak Catalana but now seems to be off the menu, so settled for a medium classic with cheddar cheese, in a ciabatta bun. Very nice indeed skinny fries were a bit dry and over cooked but being super hungry I still eat the lot.

For starters we had spicy buffalo cauliflower, nachos and halloumi fries. The cauliflower was one of the nicest starters I've ever had. The chicken burger was also lovely.

Absolutely loved it here. I was on my own, and the relaxed atmosphere had me totally comfortable sitting with my book, enjoying the tasty food. Service was great (highlight being the super friendly Irish Manager), and I have to say, those are the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever tasted (and I’m somewhat of a self-proclaimed connoisseur haha). Would definitely come back, alone or with friends!

Waiter lunchtime service was really poor, unattentive. My burger was dry, the ciabbata was stale whereas my husband's burger was nice and juicy. I was extremely disappointed.

We couldn't disagree more with the review below! The food was delicious - it seems difficult to find an establishment that cooks burgers to medium rather than well done, and this one does! Good chicken wings and the Buffalo cauliflower is delicious! It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it. Good music too

Really enjoyed the food ,staff were fun and attentive, parking was ok in that area ,cosy atmosphere.

We used to go to Hache quite regularly as much prefer the burgers to other places around. However we went last week and were shocked at how it has changed. Very slow service to order drinks, and it wasn't particularly busy. Once we did manage to order one burger came with such hard bread it was clearly stale and there was no garnish etc literally a burger all alone on a nasty blue patterned plate like my granny used to have, looking rather sad on its own. They replaced the bun with a less stale version. I always have bunless and it usually comes with a very generous and interesting salad (instead of the bun). This time the salad was very boring and uninspiring. What's changed? Manager? Owner? Not nearly as good as it used to be.

Quickest service I can think of and always spot on. Just walk in off the street, they usually have a table spare.

The food is so tasty, I keep coming back for more (those nachos...). The service is warm and friendly, very accommodating too. It’s a nice relaxed environment to eat in, whether on my own while working or with friends. My go-to restaurant!

Fui por la hamburguesa vegana, y me recomendaron el entrante vegano de coliflor picante, ¡no sabía que la coliflor pudiera saber tan bien! ! Mi novio tenía la hamburguesa de trufa de carne que también se veía deliciosa. . . Sólo quería darte las gracias por una velada genuinamente encantadora! X

This place is certainly modelled on a French burger bar, so offers very good burgers that are definitely ok.

We went for brunch around 11am on a Sunday. We ordered from the brunch menu and all received cold food and over cooked eggs. It also took a very long time for both the food and drink to come, and the juice I asked for apparently wasn’t available. Overall not worth the money at all.

For some unknown reason many restaurants in Balham have become overrun by avocado eating hipsters. You can expect to queue to be seated in some of these places for food that you could rustle-up yourself at home in less time!

Delicious , expertly cooked burgers with a great choice of toppings. There was also good vegetarian options. Service was excellent. We were with our American cousins who couldn’t fault it.

I’m not much of a fan of posh burger chains but this one’s great. They seem to concentrate on the basics, so the burgers and buns are fantastic, rather than treated as an oversight and drowned in a mess of gimmicky toppings. Service is friendly and attentive and it’s pretty good value.

The restaurant itself is very nice with friendly staff and clean tables. The menu is great if your a big burger fan as they do lots of different types however I found mine to be just quite average and nothing particularly special. Overall we had a nice evening and again is great for burger lovers.

Mi amigo y yo, donde amablemente nos llevaron a una mesa por el barman (que era maravilloso a través de la noche, esto no es una queja sobre él). Después de esto, el nivel del servicio bajó muy rápidamente. Tomó mucho tiempo para nosotros para conseguir notado por alguien a pedir las bebidas, ya que la camarera era joven y limpiar las mesas. We were greeted at by a server called Dominic who was professional, friendly and very attentive to anything we needed. Food arrived quickly and to a good standard. All in all it was a very good experience and do recommend this place for a burger!

Visited here recently, both food and service was excellent. Serves by a Lithuanian waitress (sorry to describe you like this, buy didn't catch your name and the only thing I remember is where you said you were from). Your customer skills are impeccable, naturally lovely person and I thank you for making our visit very pleasant.

My overall experience was average, as they ran out of both of the wines we requested and the chicken burger I usually order was extremely thin, the fillet/ chicken breadhas been much thicker in past experiences

Good quality Burger. The menu spoils us with of choices of burgers- lamb, chicken and variety of beef burgers. The desert selection is also excellent. Service is amazing from the time we entered the door till we left! Worth a visit!

Finding a table for Brunch in Balham can be tough if you aren't willing to queue. We walking past Hache and noticed they did brunch and was empty, hurrah! Sadly not so much. The brunch is horribly over priced for what it is. Cold poached eggs, toasted sour dough was basically warm under cooked french bread, smashed avocado was half an avocado roughly cut up by a chef clearly not bothered. As for the fresh juice, it took 20 minutes to make. Seeing as we were the only customers I have no idea what was happening. The staff are friendly enough but Just astounded they charge over £10 for an extremely average plate of food. Do not have brunch here, suck it up and queue elsewhere.

Viajo mucho por toda Europa y comer con bastante frecuencia como consecuencia de ella. Buena comida en Hache, pero impresionados por la camarera. Cecilia era muy profesional y nos cuidó durante toda la comida sin estar en el camino. Muy amable y muy eficiente. Bastante impresionado como no es algo que frecuentemente. Admirable servicio al cliente.

Great for burgers. Just be alert if you order beer - I find they consistently "sell short" glasses of the already very expensive draft beer. No other complaints!

Go here with mates and my dad sometimes. Service is okay but the food makes up for it. The chips are really good and choice of burgers is excellent I would say quite quirky choice of burgers are available. My favourite is the burger with peanut butter in it (you really have to try it to understand it) if in balham this is great option for a solid and very tasty burger.

Having no booking we turned up at 6:15 on a Sunday evening and were warmly welcomed and seated. Menus, ordering, all ok. First sign of trouble: slow drinks finally arrived with large plastic straws in everything, including straws in the tap water. Not good! Then the meal was very slow to arrive (restaurant only half full). We both had delicious burgers - the "royale" with goat's cheese was particularly fabulous. After we had finished the burgers the fries arrived, amidst humble apologies for lateness. No ketchup was offered! (shocking!). The fries were good. Paying was slow and I couldn't leave a tip as it wasn't included on the bill and the pay machine didn't have a gratuity option (We left some cash). Nice place though and ambience very pleasant. Would return.

I’ve been to Hache a couple of times for coffees and since the coffe was really good and the staff seems amazing I decided to try the food ‘cause I heard really good things about it.
