Wish i'd heard about Habaneros before, absolutely amazing food! Have never been disappointed with anything off the menu and in particular the beef burrito! Service is always good and Mark is very friendly, please go you won't be disappointed.....

Well filled, well wrapped, good taste. They'll run out of things towards their closing time. Nice people. About £6 which I suppose is pretty standard for this kind of food from this kind of stall?

I've had a fair number of burritos in my life, as they are one of my very favourite foods, and this one was up there with the best. I had the vegetarian burrito and really enjoyed it, and the guys in the van were super friendly and lovely to chat to as well.

Burrito in a bowl with the pulled beef, absolutely delicious but the portion size was disappointing for £6 therefore not sure I’d return again

They didn't have any wraps so a lovely man named Harrison gave me so many extra nachos and goodness in my bowl. The food is super fresh and so cheap for the amount you get, Harrison ain't too bad either

This was the first time we have tried this place and so glad we did. We have already decided that we are going to pop into town more often just to have lunch from there. It was delicious and a very good size. We had the burrito bowl, one chicken and one pork with different fillings and it was perfect.

I adore this burrito place. Packed with fillings and really really tasty! I had the veggie filling and the guacamole is sooo good. the spicy sauce gave it a nice kick. £6.20 for a meal deal which is the burrito, tortilla chips and a can of pop. staff were super friendly so i will definitely be back and it's always nice to support independent traders. thanks for a lovely lunch break! :)

God daaaaaaaym the burrito is a healthy size, it hugs around warm tender chicken, grated cheese all indulged in guacamole with salsa dancing around it, I opted for salad too, those onions really add a bang to the flavour! My first bite was like a delicious fiesta in my mouth and the party didnt stop until the last bite I highly recommend visiting this place its not just food it's an experience for your tastebuds If this burrito was a woman I'd marry her

I come here regularly, the food is amazing! I often have a burrito bowl, as I don’t always fancy the wrap... and it’s so good! They have all the toppings you’d want with sauces, rice and beans... but in a bowl with some lettuce as well! On Mondays they have a special offer of burrito or bowl with free drink and nachos, they almost always have a special on, my personal favourite is the chilli beef. Comes to around £6. Could not recommend highly enough. Must try!

Visited here after taking my sister bridesmaid dress shopping. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was great and so were the cocktails. I would recommend to anyone visiting Birmingham and loves Mexican food!

I’ve visited these independent street vendors on several occasions over a few years now and for me it’s always a winner. In value for money terms for the quality of food you get, it is right up there with the best. The burrito is consistently great and you can customise it any way you want with optional fillings and a variety of sauces to spice it up.If you’re in a hurry it’s a brilliant option as you can whisk it away wrapped in foil to eat later. If you want an alfresco lunch you are right there in St Phillips with plenty of seating and grassy areas to relax. My winning tip is to take it to the nearby Wellington pub which welcomes BYO diners (plates and cutlery provided )and then you can wash it down with an excellent local ale or three. Infinitely better than going to the Wetherspoons for their lacklustre burrito/ale at about the same price. Keep up the great work guys!

I have heard it was good and boy it is great I have had a pulled chicken burrito with everything on it the guacamole is amazing. And the chills lime mayo made it for me You could say that £7.20 is a lot for lunch but I have paid far more at pubs nearby for rubbish wraps and oven chips I say well done and it will be my weekly treat x

This place is great. It’s street food with no seating but take back to your desk or eat in the cathedral grounds if the weather is fair. Visited several times. Would recommend and will return. Really good value. I’ve had the burrito bowl and burrito. Both very tasty! But you must go hot! 🌶 otherwise what’s the point 👍🏻

Comida callejera en el centro, poco común en la zona, opciones de sabores mexicanos, burritos, carne de res y carne de puerco desmenuzada, atrae a la multitud en la hora punta del almuerzo, vaya temprano, la comida se ajusta a sus necesidades, picante como desee. Una buena opción se compara bien con los cafés de la zona.

Tenía una envoltura puerto sacó burrito. El cartel decía que podía tener picante, y el sitio se llama habaneros, así que esperaba al menos un poco de una patada. Carecía de cualquier tipo de especias. Cerdo desmenuzado era bastante agradable, y había mucho en la envoltura.

Massive both in stature and in taste, comfortably the best burrito in Birmingham. The guys will mix and match too if you fancy a beef and chicken combo - I'd recommend it! An independent trader too, always good to support those. Definitely check it out.

La sacó de cerdo aquí es increíble. Te hace entender toda la agitación. Tienen un gran ofrece los lunes y los miércoles, pero su nivel es excelente relación calidad-precio en burrito 5 libras.

This little can does some of the best tacos and burritos I have had. We regularly visit on our lunch break. Even when the line is long service is quite quick and worth the wait. Plus go on a Monday for free tortilla chips and a drink.

Discovered Habaneros at Digbeth dining club, Codsall. Approached them to provid food for my daughter's 16th birthday party. Despite being short staffed they provided a fabulous variety of food and all that was needed to cater for our party. Food was excellent ,a fun experience for everyone. A great service and we'd highly recommend for parties for all ages!

My wife and here met for lunch today, and it's seriously one of the most delicious options for a quick bite to eat in the city centre. Can't beat the price as well - £5 for a burrito that will fill you up all day.

I have been to many burrito shops across the UK (mainly in London) and this is the best around, I am struggling to find anything which comes close in terms of taste, quality and price. The ingredients are wonderfully fresh, partially the homemade salsa and slaw. Generous portions and topped off with selection of delicious homemade sauces for you to choose from. (Try the Habanero Salsa, Chipotle BBQ and Chilli Lime Mayo together) It’s amazing. The staff are always polite and friendly and its always a pleasure to be served by them. I have recommended Habaneros to all my work colleagues and friends. Try it - you will not be disappointed!!Enjoy guys!!

I'd heard colleagues talk about this place and finally decided to check it out. So glad I did.Service was slick and friendly. And the chicken burrito I ordered was fabulous. So tasty and hood value.I will be back!If you fancy a drink with your food you can pop into the Wellington, which is just a short walk away. Alternatively, there are plenty of areas to sit out in Cathedral Square.

My eight year old daughter wanted to try some Mexican streetfood so I thought this was as good a place as any. I've been here a couple of times before and the burritos were always very tasty (and filling!). She had the chicken tacos and she was very satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. I again had the veggie burrito and it was delicious. At 10 quid for the both of us it's not a badly priced lunch option especially if you want something different to the usual fast food maccy d's if you're visiting the city centre.

I had a veggie burrito from Habaneros at the Coventry University Summer Ball for £5.50 and it was definitely worth the money, it was absolutely huge and filled with so many different things, rice, chickpeas, salsa, guacamole, beans, I loved it it really filled me up, the service was great too really friendly and quick, I definitely want to visit them in Birmingham for another one.

£4.50 well spent. Sweet potato and guacamole and all the extras. So tasty from start to finish and nice friendly staff.

Having just returned from Orlando, I decided to try out this rather weird combination of Mexican street food and the centre of Birmingham. The burrito was wonderful, the pulled brisket beef was tender and appetising and the sauce was hot and spicy even for an Indian. You need the spring sun to warm you up as you eat on a bench at Colmore square. A wonderful afternoon overall!

Had me a burrito in a box, and God damn it was tasty, can't fault anything that passed my lips, will definitely be revisting this establishment.

I gave habaneros a go at Digbeth Dining club (DDC) and I'm so pleased with my choice. The food is always good at DDC but as I tucked into my very large burrito my friends looked on with jealousy! They were regretting their choices even more as the deliciously chunky guacamole spilled out the side of the chocker-block full burrito, and as the amazing hot sauce trickled down my hand they were practically drooling!But all joking aside this is one hell of a burrito! The meat- tender and flavoursome but still holds itself together to give a great texture. The habanero salsa and sour cream gave a brilliant freshness and quite a kick for the chilli lovers amongst us too! All encased in a gorgeously light tortilla.I'm always spoilt for choice at DDC but next time I'm there if habaneros is too I'll struggle to pick anything else! Highly recommend this, it'll fill you up for ages too!

Finally food that you can take out and still be healthy! Everything is so tasty and some days you even get a free drink and nachos with your meal... BONUS! Love the fact they have just opened one in Worcester now too! Highly recommended!

I have been visiting Habaneros at least twice a month since it opened as i work in colmore row..and I think the food is absolutely delicious..especially the pulled pork and I like the fact they offer the meal deal on Mondays for the price of the burrito. However recently the last two times I have visited the portions have been a joke literally half what you would expect on the meat and rice. I understand some days are busier but it's really the luck of the draw.. when the nice chap with glasses serves (think it's the owner) the portions are spot on and what you expect for a Mexican burrito however when the lady serves you hardly get anything.. hope they look at the differences or use some sort of standard serving spoon etc. I will visit again but not anytime soon

The pulled pork burrito is amazing. It is totally worth waiting in the queue for and is really good value for money!

Yes it is just a street food but the food is definitely of a very good quality. There are only a few choices, ie, pulled pork, chicken and vegestarian but less is MORE! Food is simply delicious. Not the heathiest but if you opt for the vegetarian option with less cheese. It is not that cheap but the serving is generous. If you're in Birmingham, I would recommend buying your lunch at Habaneros and if the weather is good you can sit at the square and enjoy your delicious meal. They only serve lunch.

This was my first venture into Mexican food and I was pleasantly surprised at the choice and flavours. I went with grown up children who had been before and I had help with choosing I suspect seeing those serving that help would otherwise been available

There's a variety of choices from meat t vegetarian. I so love their beef and pulled pork tacos/burritos. Very tasty indeed and very affordable! Most importantly, the truck and work area is clean. Even the service is efficient. A threat to other Mexican restos around Birmingham!

These Burritos are amazing. I regularly frequent this van for lunch and have literally never been disappointed. I'd recommend the beef one above the rest - the beef is so succulent. The fact that I often come here and fork out £5 for a burrito despite having free lunch at work is testament to the quality of the place.

Love this place!!! Came and had the special on Friday with some work colleagues. Had the chicken & chorizo burrito, and didn't disappoint. Definitely the best in Birmingham.

Was close to work so opted for this due to good reviews. Wasn't impressed. Went for the tortilla free box and it was very dry. Asked for guacamole and was given a very tiny scoop. The food wasn't bad but I wouldn't say it was fantastic as some of the write ups state here. Has great potential for something different at lunch but could be so much better.

What an excellent addition to Birmingham's street food offering! Amazing burritos with fillings made fresh every day... you can tell that as soon as you taste it. Massive portions, wide selections of fillings, daily specials and real menu knowledge! A loyalty app that's clever as you like with a pre order function so you get what you want! i wont say how often i get one....its a lot though!

These are really filling. Sure to fill you up for lunch. They are very tasty and usually served very quickly. A bit more expensive then most lunches but for a treat it's perfect.

Visited Habaneros at the Digbeth Dining Club. Due to popularity they'd sold out of vegetarian so they made me a salad/rice/bean burrito free of charge - so nice! Thanks guys

Love the burritos from this place, every time I am in Birmingham for work this is where i go for my lunch, I've tried lots of different fillings and have never been disappointed. Staff are really friendly and the service is ultra fast ! Definitely recommend!

Always wanted to try the Habanero’s van when in Brum so was really happy when we spotted it at the Leamington Spa food festival (which was really good by the way). We opted for the 3 tacos which had in them pulled pork, tinga chicken and the shredded beef brisket. All topped with fresh salsa, cheese, jalapeno’s and a choice of slaw and sauces. I had the rather hot lime and chilli mayo which was great. Food is obviously a little messy to eat but I didn’t do too bad and there was no clothing casualties! Really tasty, fresh, sort of healthy, interpretation of Mexican classics and if you see the van by Rackhams or out and about at weekends, I’d definitely recommend.

Wow, this has because a weekly visit for my lunch. The burritos which are served are amazing, one the best i have had in Birmingham. The ingredients, which they use and fresh and spicy!!The pulled pork and chicken filling are very tasty, so are the special that they have.The service, which is proved is excellent.

Good Mexican street food, this is close to work for me so I go here often for a lunchtime burrito. I love choosing different fillings, extras and sauces. Good value for money as they're big and filling, no afternoon snacking required after one of these bad boys! They do tacos and nachos too but I haven't tried these.

I never thought I would be raving about food served from the back of a van, however the food from Habaneros is something special. The burritos whether filled with spicy chicken or delicious pulled pork and topped with rice, beans, salsa, coleslaw and guacamole is a wonderful thing. The portions are hearty and more the filling for a lunch time meal, however it tastes so good the temptation to go back for seconds is always there. I would recommend the Habanro Salsa, however if you are up for challenge give the SUPER HOT HABANERO salsa a try, but be warned they are not pulling any punches, this burrito asks serious questions !!!! not for the faint heartedFinal recommendation dress accordingly as with all good street food you WILL end up wearing as much of it as you eat

I ordered and ate a chicken and chorizo burrito with beans, rice, mango chipotle salsa and guacamole. It was really good! I can't really explain it, but it was an excellent lunchtime meal and kept me full for the whole of the afternoon. The salsa was brilliant and gave a wonderful heat to the whole thing.One thing that I did think was a bit rich was a loyalty card where your tenth one was free. If you were spending £5.50 a time at this van then I'd very much hope to be getting something for free! Feels very unobtainable and unnecessary, and I have to wonder how often somebody fills one.Good food, but too expensive to be a frequent alternative to a sandwich.

They do a great veggie burrito. The only quibble is that sometimes I've had one that is more HOT than hot - still tasty but slightly painful!

I came here on a lunch time from work and have to say i will definitely be going again. I had a chicken burrito. It had rice, beans, salsa, coelslaw, lettuce habaneros sauce cheese and sour cream on. The ingredients were so fresh, the taste was amazing! All made and served to me in about 1 minute. This is what i call proper fast food!

Out and about in Birmingham City Centre and fancy a quick but fairly healthy bite? Try Habanero's Mexican Street Food van on the top of Temple Row just before the cathedral yard. This is a strictly take away eatery but lots of seats available in the cathedral yard.On the menu are burritos - which is a soft wrap filled with various fillings. tacos -which is a crisp fried corn circle shaped into a curve to hold fillings inside - also on offer are taco bowls which are the same fried corn circles formed into an edible bowl.Filling feature pulled pork, pulled beef, chicken and vegetarian. To this base you can add rice and blacks beans, then add a selection of lettuce, Mexican inspired cole slaw, a myriad of sauces and if you like avocado that can be added for a little extra charge.My daughter and I both tried burritos with the chicken with a selection of fillings and sauces - we both enjoyed them - they were full of flavour and of considerable size. At the time we went the charge was £4.50 each and as it was Monday we got free drinks and corn chips. The drink selection needs work as there was only cola, diet cola, 7Up or water - the corn ships were standard nothing special but I would have the burrito again.

If you're ever hungry at lunchtime, please check this place out! It's like a mexican burrito version of subway... the food is fast, cheap and delicious! I go pretty much everytime I visit the city centre!It's a shame they do not have a restaurant, hopefully they'll expand soon!

This is great little find in the centre of Birmingham. I have visited twice and both times had the vegetarian burrito with all the works. It includes rice and beans, roasted peppers and onions, salad, slaw, cheese etc. I have tried the habanero sauce and the spicy one and both are great. Guacamole comes free with the veggie option, or 50p extra with other dishes.Good portion size and good value for the quality (£4.50). Staff have always been friendly and helpful. On my last visit I chatted with a few of them as it was quiet. Street food concept but big enough to cope with town crowds with good conveyor belt system to help get the queues moving. Nice for a change at lunchtime and soon will venture to the tacos and nachos too!

If you love the ordering style of Subway and love mexican food then this is the place for you. A happy staff served myself and friends a wide range of options and toppings. Great food, fair priced drinks (considering location) and nice friendly atmosphere.

Found this by accident one lunchtime in Birmingham. Very friendly staff, cheerful and informative. I had a burrito with all the trimmings. As an alternative to any other fast food restaurant, it's 2 times the food and 10 times the taste.I can't see myself going elsewhere for lunches in a hurry.

hired these guys to cater for our Christmas Party - service was excellent and burritos and nachos were excellent - catered to all diets - would definitely recommend and use again!

Having seen a review online about Habaneros recently, I made a special detour while in town to try it out.I was extremely impressed with the speedy service - they operate a kind of 'production line', and every staff member was very friendly and polite!I had a chicken burrito with all of the extras + guacamole, with chipotle sauce.The burrito was really juicy and flavoursome - although you will inevitably get it all over your hands/face.Sadly I don't work in town therefore can't sample this everyday...although I will definitely be back soon!!!

This is a really tasty alternative to sandwiches. A freshly made burrito with a bewildering variety of toppings and garnishes available. The service is deft and speedy - and the burrito was delicious, having recently returned from Mexico it was a lovely reminder..authentic flavours too!

I probably visit Habaneros about 3 times a week. It's a 20 minute walk from work but well worth it. The food is awesome - fresh, tasty and plenty of variety - definitely my favourite lunch time treat at the moment. The staff are all really friendly and pretty quick too considering the growing popularity. Definitely recommended,

Using this place regularly for lunch and enjoy every time - make sure you try some of their super hot habanero sauce :)
