Our first visit, following a recommendation that the Cinnamon buns were worth making the journey for (they were!). We also bought 3 sourdough loaves - one of each variety - and the ones we didn't eat straight away have frozen and defrosted beautifully.

I read the 4 terrible reviews, which dated back to when the bakery first started in 2021 and the main criticisms are about cost not quality, so do not be put off by these reviews as completely misleading. I am a constant visitor at Gwyns and it is without a doubt the best bread and bakery in the country. This bakery sells out very early on for baguettes and if there are any try and get a croissant bread!! Fantastic taste and crust. The cinnamon buns are to die for. Absolutely stunning with excellent coffee too and the sourdough bread is fantastic. Don't miss out.

The best bread in the whole town. The staff is very friendly and polite. The price is fair for the quality they have.

We just got back from a four day trip to Stockholm where we sampled some cinnamon buns from a couple of different bakeries. I have to say, Gwyn’s buns are way more delicious! Well done!

Incredible bread & pastries. The flaxseed croissant is to die for! The amount of layers in the pastries always amazes me! I also love that you can see things being made in front of you. Best bakery I’ve been to; I will continue to sing your praise and visit often! I’ve seen a couple of comments about poor customer service, I’ve never had this - everyone has been friendly. They are a busy bakery serving lots of customers, I personally don’t expect a long conversation when there are people waiting to be served behind me… Thank you Gwyn’s team!

I have just had a loaf from this bakery and I have to say it is the best tasting bread I have ever tasted. I have visited on a few occasions, the sausage rolls are amazing and I don't normally drink coffee but decided to have a latte here and it was so nice. So good to have this in Horsham as it is Michelin star bakery.

Wow!! I visited this morning and bought a baguette and mixture of pastries to try. I haven’t got through them all yet but can I just say, if you’ve got a sweet tooth and you’re only going to buy one thing, please buy a caramel cruffin…you will not regret it!! These have the perfect light, flaky croissant dough with the most amazing flavoured caramel cream which is throughout the whole cruffin. The lady serving was also very pleasant and happy which also makes a difference. Thank you to a wonderful bakery!

If this was a restaurant it would be 3 Michelin star. The quality of all the produce is second to none. Yes it’s pricey but worth every penny. They make everything taste amazing, even cinnamon buns which I wouldn’t normally like. Go early on a Saturday if you want to get bread, they sell out quickly!

Really love everything about this place. The sourdough is to die for and the pastries are the best you can get outside London. Definitely recommend this one!

Excellent, loved the pastries and cinnamon buns. It is expensive but in the UK you have yo pay a lot for high quality goods OR make them yourself OR eat industrialised food. You don’t get amazing quality items cheap. You need to go to the EU for that!

Came to Gwyn’s on Friday excited as I have heard so many good things but my experience wasn’t good in at all! The guy serving me just was chatting away with customer in front of me absolutely ignoring me he stepped away from the till turning his back to me no “good morning” nothing. Luckily this other chap came to serve me I ordered only a coffee so I had to wait again for ages for my coffee to be done as the guy was still chatting with the previous customer not caring I was sitting there for at least 10 minutes waiting for my coffee! You definitely need someone more professional dealing with customers!!!!!

I was over the moon when this place opened. We moved from London a few years ago, and although horsham has some good restaurants, it really lacked a great bakery. This place does the best sourdough, pastries and has really creative specials every week. The pastries are not the cheapest, but they’re great value I think. They often sell loaves from pastry/cinnamon bun off cuts, which often work out a bit cheaper to buy (£7 for a loaf that serves about 4 people, a single pastry or bun is about £2,50-£3 I think).

Honestly the best bakery in town. I live in London and have family in Sussex so when ever I visit I drive via this bakery and buy enough for everyone. I buy extra for myself too :). The cinimmon buns taste great even the day after I put them in the microwave for a couple of seconds and they are still good, but nothing better than getting them fresh from the bakery.

We've visited the Boars Head a few times recently and it has been consistently excellent. Today we both had the beef bourguignon, it was delicious. A generous portion of beautifully tender beef with mash made for a great meal, dessert was an impossibility on this occasion. The welcome and service has been impeccable on every visit as well The management are clearly working hard to achieve and maintain a high standard in every aspect of what they do. We ate mid-afternoon today (Saturday) without booking but I'd suggest that booking is essential for lunch and evening meals at the weekends. We have also had the Sunday lunch on a couple of occasions and that has been to the same standard.

Driven passed this pub at least 30 times on way to Gatwick over the years but never stopped. Visited on Thursday 26th September at 1:30pm. Reasonable sized car park with lots of spaces. Pub has oak beams which gives it a real traditional vibe. Didn’t book a table but was able to be seated straight away. Good choice on the menu. We had ciabatta baguettes (one halumi one sausage/onion) washed down with a Prosecco and a beer. Service good and baguettes only £9 each. View out the back of the pub over the South Downs is stunning! Worth knowing that last food orders are 2pm for lunch. Would definitely return.

Free entry to explore the marvellous gardens at Leonardslee when booking the Ultimate experience. A thorough wine tasting, brilliantly conducted by 'Simba', a true credit to his profession as a sommelier. Fabulous wines and that Sabre moment when the cork is 'popped', my friend did this with such distinction. An excellent, delicious Afternoon Tea followed, nothing waste much of a problem, photo opportunity, carrot cake a welcome extra but 'Simba' created the icing on the cake. Fantastic experience.
