My great aunt used to own this pub, and it was interesting to see a photo of her in the bar. The staff were friendly when they knew our connection to the place. Decent beer and good, basic pub meal. Great setting in the summer next to the river and on the edge of the Beacons.

This is a very friendly, family run pub in the west of the Brecon Beacons. It is ideally located as a base for hill walking with a promise of excellent food waiting for you at the end of the day. The inside of the pub is very clean and welcoming. The food is freshly cooked and most of it is locally sourced. Being a free house, there is a good selection of beers and other alcoholic brews as well as soft drinks. There is an attractive garden if you want to sit outside. And the toilets are spotless.
