Guru Express in Elmbridge

It was ok. It was open till late so that was good. It took an age to get here. Was meant to get here at the latest time of midnight. Ended up phoning them at 12.20 asking where it is and it was actually delivered whilst on the phone to the restaurant. The food when it arrived was hot which was great. Rice was quite good, the breads were a tad dry, the korma was of a weak consistency and the vindaloo definitely had no heat, the bhaji was very strange and the chicken was that processed stuff that you can buy cheap. All in all it tasted ok but I don’t think I will be going back. It wasn’t the greatest curry but it also wasn’t the worst

Joke of a restaurant. Cancelled our order twice to ruin a birthday surprise. Order made within their advertised opening times.

Food was nice tonight, and the service was good. Thanks for popping our bits in doggy bags, I'm going to enjoy the rest later. We went early to avoid any crowds and was the first in. Be nice to hear the music though, its just needed turning up a little. Very tasty. Thanks guys.

The food was very good but .Thanks for forgetting my garlic naan, and re-delivering stone cold. Considering the price you ask and the size of order we had delivered the aplogy was a bit I don't give a sh*t.

This takeaway is well established. Been here a long time which is always a good sign. I have been ordering from here the last few months. Excellent food. King prawn dishes are outstanding. Great job fellas.!!! C u soon!!!

Walked in off the street and asked them to prepare me a vegan curry. Didn’t bat an eyelid. The chef came out to discuss my requirements and give me options and I’ve ended up with a fantastic dish.

We have ordered from Guru Express more times than we can remember. Always loved the food and usually arrives very hot. We have tried other local curry deliveries but for us this place has always provided the best food - authentic curries, good portion sizes and great side dishes too. Definitely recommended.

Would never order food from here ever. Food tasted ok. An hour later myself and my girlfriend were chucking up like crazy. Still have a bad stomach today and never gonna eat from here ever and everyone steer clear of this place. Also when to food arrived the person delivering the food didn't have any change to give us so we ended up giving him £30 our food came to £28.40 but it's not the point. Change should be given and it is the customers disgression to give a tip. I would give them a tip which would be to clean your kitchen before preparing any food in it. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

This Indian take away is excellent - I've had a fair few curries in my 50 odd years and this place is right up there in my all time favourites - the staff are friendly and helpful and the food has always been very good - just don't expect to eat in as you can't - take away or delivery only

The food at Guru is excellent, hot and very tasty and also looked very pleasant. I had a chicken tikka masala, Tandoori mix grill, Lamb Kori and Garlic lamb chilly masala and bombay aloo and pilau rice. My friends also loves the food. The service is amazing and there was friendly customer service and the food was worth the price. We will be going there again :D
