It was a bit spicy for my taste this time around but still enjoyed regardless, keep it up 👍

Great place to try Nepalese cuisine. Lots of choice for vegans. Delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere and brilliant service at a really reasonable price.

We had a very enjoyable dinner with good food and great company. Every dish was full of flavor, and the service was very attentive. This is the perfect place for anyone who enjoys Nepalese cuisine.

You cannot beat the take away from Gurkha. So delicious!!

We have been visiting this restaurant since we came to swindon, really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here ,highly recomended.

Waited nearly 2 hours this evening for a delivery. Spent almost half an hour outside wandering around trying to find the delivery driver who for some reason couldn’t find the house (not an issue for others). Shame as will not order from them again Edit: further to the restaurant response- the driver hung up on us when we were outside trying to help him. The restaurant wouldn’t help when we called (twice). Just told us “it’s coming”. And yes we have ordered before, and had a bad experience previously (similar long wait) so this was the final chance

We visited Gurkh for the first time last night and will definitely be back. Food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed the Momos and the chicken lollipops, and all of our main courses ( there were 4 of us) were delicious.

Fantastic flavours but hotter than expected. Dishes were either VERY 'spicy' or mild. Definitely not medium. The single chilli symbol on menu is misleading. Hardcore curry lovers will be in heaven though.

Eaten in & just had our 1st takeaway. Best we've ever had just full of flavour & arrived piping hot. Eaten from so many curry places but this is the mutts nuts

Best Nepalese and Indian restaurant in Swindon. You must try their food. We had chicken lollipop crispy and juicy, tandoori chicken well cooked, veg momos 😍, veg chowmein and many more items. We would definitely recommend to everyone.

Everything was a little over cooked. No dipping sauce for the momo. Very expensive for lack lustre food.

Upon entering, the restaurant seemed quiet, only two other tables. I sat down for service and received a menu shortly after, the table was sticky and unclean, the waiter seemed lost as if she had just started working there, not knowing about the wine selection or certain items on the menu. 2nd issue. After ordering I had waited 30 minutes to receive a cup of chai. After another 20 minutes(1hr of waiting total so far) I finally received my order for sadeko veg momos. I am nepali and did not understand why it took so long for these two things, especially the chai. 3rd issue. I had ordered a veg Thali sat and I legitimately sat there for an additional 40 minutes waiting for one single Thali set. Mind you, another couple that sat next to me already paid and left, they also had to wait some time and deal with confusion from the waitress. I asked a total of 3 times when my order will be out to which I was answered with , a few more minutes. Finally, after more than an hour, I estimate an hour and half total time, I let the waitress know I wanted to cancel my order, to which she went into the kitchen to check on my order, to then tell me to wait more as it's almost done. I politely declined and told her I had waited too long. I paid for my two items and left unsatisfied both with the food and service. - a note to keep in mind in case my review gets seen by the owner. My entire review is based on my experience, and the photos/timestamps I took in between my orders, which is how I stated the exact times from when I ordered, to when I left.

Empty restaurant.No atmosphere.Service was a joke.Had to wait an hour for a piece of salmon.Was asked if I would like to eat my rice on its own as the salmon was taking so long( can you believe it) Bloody diabolical.

Food over salted. Service is ok. Toilet dirty. No lock in gents toilet. Tap is broken. No hot water. Definitely not recommended. The drink Lossi is rubbish. J2O so much nicer.

I have tried so many Nepalese restaurants in Asia, and I have to say I was impressed with Gurkha, the food was so delicious, and I was so excited to eat and forgot to take a photo of each dish haha! Shout out to the hospitality of the team, so thoughtful and considered, super friendly, and always with a smile on their faces. My favorite was the mono dumplings, chicken lollipops, chatpate, and thali. For the location, you guys just follow Google Maps and you find it easily, you can also park your car at the building nearby or opposite the restaurant. Uhh, writing this review makes me crave the food 😂. Best Nepalese restaurant so far! 👍👍👍👍👍

I really enjoyed my dinner with friends at Ghurka. The taste of the food and the authenticity of the restaurant deserve five stars. The service from the staff was excellent as well. I will definitely visit again, and I'm glad I tried this restaurant for a change.

I got a takeaway from here for the first time tonight. The service was really friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. This was the best curry I can remember having. I will definitley go here again.

Really good food. 100% worth it. 2 starters 3 mains and 3 naan ( 14 pieces) came to around £60, the chiken was really good. Lamb was equally so. Lolly pop chiken and momos make for great starters.

My first time trying Nepal cuisine and OMG, everything is so tasty! As recommended by the owner, we tried the Momo (dumpling) chapati (starter), chicken lollipop (starter), lamb handi stew, keema lamb, naan bread and rice. They are all well-seasoned with fragrant spices. Absolutely delicious!

Best place for authentic Nepali cuisine been coming here for over 2 years now. The authenticity in the food and the warm atmosphere makes it the perfect place for family meals

We chose this restaurant after reading the 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, and we are so glad we did. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to a cozy corner table. The owner took the trouble to explain the nuances of the menu, and instead of our normal choice of poppadoms as a starter, we chose chicken lollipops; these were juicy, perfectly spiced and accompanied by a dip that complemented the flavours well. For mains, we chose the special lamb chilli with garlic naan. These were delicious, and the naans were perfectly cooked and fluffy. A good drink choice to complement the food is the Gurkha beer which has a clean, refreshing flavour. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and the cozy atmosphere and very friendly owners make this a gem in Swindon's curry corner.

Good food, quite spicy even for some of the "mild" options and I'm no stranger to spice - at westerner levels anyway. Delivery was delayed due to traffic/road closures which they were apologetic for.

The food is literapare tolly half in a plate of chowmin as compare to other Nepalese restaurant. The pint of beer approximately 1/4 is full of forth as it should full like in pub. They served starter at end and desert at first. Poor m an garment for costumer

Food took an hour and half to arrive. Food was warm but wouldn’t describe as being hot. Quality was just ok. Wouldn’t reorder as there is other Indian take aways that are far superior in delivery time and quality / taste.

The lamb dish which was not on the bone was unfortunately tough. It's an expensive dish to not be cooked correctly, another 30 minutes of cooking that lamb and it would've been tender.

Order arrived over an hour late, and was cold. Once the food had been microwaved, it was decent, but considering the price I would expect for better. I hope they improve, as I like this style of cuisine.

Pulav rice was missing from the order. Chicken spring rolls were quite bad, really oily soggy (looks like they were fried in oil that was not hot enough)!! They were not good like the Veg spring rolls quality from our last few orders.

Gurkha is the best food around. The curries are perfect, all fresh and delicious, and the Momos are great, always top service. Keep it up! :)

best south asian food in swindon by far, delivery isn't the quickest but the food is well worth the wait and is always fresh and hot with decent portions. highly recommend the special mogo masala chips (cassava)
