Absolutely beautiful food which was cooked fresh and very very tasty. The staff are exceptional and cannot do enough for you. Prices are great and food quality is fantastic.

Outstanding restaurant! Our first time going here and first time eating Nepalese cuisine. We have to say it's so much better than your average Indian curry which lets face it, pretty much tastes the same wherever you go. Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely food. Defo returning multiple times so we can eat everything Nepalese on the menu. Thank you everyone at Gurkha Kitchen!

Booked a table and was seen to quickly, impressive Menu with lots of choice. Lovely tasting wine and we all picked a dish from the Special section and were not disappointed. We all cleaned our plates and will return.

We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened and we weren’t disappointed! A lovely warm welcome from staff upon arrival..we were all very impressed by our food. We had the poppadom tray followed by the grilled paneer starter. For main, 3 of us opted for the Gurkha special mixed grill….wow…I would go so far to say this is by far the best I’ve seen and tasted. The tandoori fish isn’t something I’d normally rave about but this was amazing! The portions are also very generous and even took some home with us....

The choice was limited, food was cold and had been prepared and left in warmers. Value for money none existent so disappointed after waiting to try this for a few months. Very costly at £20.00 a head including a soft drink well overpriced. Avoid.

Yes, the food is delicious, nice friendly atmosphere nice staff, unfortunately the music they were playing through. Their sound system was so annoying and going through my ears at least three or four occasions we had to stop talking and put our fingers in our ears. We did tell them on two occasions. It was a little bit annoying but every time we returned they had the same music on again so now we stoped going

The whole of Bilbrook juniors west visited here Sunday 11th. It was in agreement by both the team and parents that we all left wanting more, Buffet food was hot and delicious, even the pickiest of eaters couldn't fault it. Great atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We will all be back very soon and we all highly recommend a visit..... If you haven't been what are you waiting for ?? You really are missing out. 5⭐ service, 5 ⭐ cuisine, 5⭐ Atmosphere, 5⭐ Hosting.

Excellent food and service 👌 Linen table cloths and napkins. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I'll definitely be going again. We went in early evening, so it was very quiet, which is the only reason I've given it 4/5 for atmosphere.

Totally disgusted. If you offer a book online service you should let people know you are only serving buffet. Ruined my birthday as now everywhere else is fully booked. I couldn’t even stay for the buffet as there is no vegan option despite there being vegan options on their main menu which we have eaten previously.

Sadly disappointed with the buffet at this local Nepalese restaurant. We thought we would give it a try, the food was tasty but the chicken overcooked. Worst of all the food was luke warm. Hot buffet food should be kept at a certain temperature for safety, this food was barely warm. We did try some but found as I said above to be barely warm, other diners said the same. The waitress came just after we started the meal and we told her it was barely warm but she didn't make any comment other than to say il go and see. When we paid we said again how the food was not hot enough. We were told there had been a problem with the heaters, so maybe better not to have served the food at all. We were not offered any form of recompense ie a drink or offer to come back and try again. Sadly disappointed as I say, especially as its a local restaurant. Hopefully the meals during the week which I presume are cooked to order will be hot, but don't recommend the Sunday buffet.

Every time we have been the service has been great and the food is amazing, today we had the Sunday buffet so had abit of everything on my plate 😍

First time her and didn't know what to expect. Lovely restaurant, clean and airy. Tables set alart so not sitting on top of each other. Excellent choice of menu, usual curries, biryani etc but also traditional nepalese options. Set menu also available for both vegetarian and non- veggies. Fiod was delicious and very well priced. Staff very polite and friendly. Takeaway service also available

I ordered gukhali lamb. Bland sauce. Tough, dried and pretty overcooked lamb. The restaurant now has a massive staff team but the food is much diminished from the previous takeaway before they went to a restaurant. The people are lovely, but the business model is a failure. I will not order from there again!

Great food and great service! My little daughter likes mayo with her chips, but they didn't have mayo. Few minutes later they came back to our table with mayo, they had run out to the shop to buy it! What a service!!!

Hour 45 for food service cold beer hot starters. Thali menu completely opposite to what waa advertised? Onion pakora? No, that's chickens tikka. Poppadoms? No, that's naan. Gulab jamun? No, that's rice pudding.

Beautiful curry, best we’ve had for a while

Take away always beautiful, hot and tasty. Final got to go as a big group booking last weekend. Service was amazing. Food was tasty, fresh and not at all greasy Quality over quantity but way more than enough food. Out of 13 of us every one said the food was spot on. Great asset to the village. Can't wait to come next weekend with different friends. 😌

Food was delicious with flavours I hadn't had before. The chicken and lamb type dumplings were lovely.

I have been looking forward to coming here for some time. I like Nepalese food and the service has always been exceptionally friendly. Unfortunately the GK didn't live up to our expectations. Most unusually the service was functional rather than friendly, our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable when trying to explain some of the dishes and the staff seemed a bit preoccupied by having a couple of large parties. It is rare to have a moan about poppadoms, but you have to have a basket of 4, yes really, and they come with a meagre portion of chutney, mint yogurt and onion salad, so you will more than likely need to ask for more. The Gurkha beer and house red were very good, there are other beers but the wine list by the glass is limited. The Rasilo is their version of a sheekh kebab, it was awful, very coarse ground fatty meat, it seemed to be spiced just with onions, garlic and far too much chilli. It is reminiscent of Pakistani style cooking but tasted as though it had been microwaved. Even if we had enjoyed it the portion was very small for the cost. The mains were a mixed bag. The wife's Balti was very salty and she said the chicken reminded her a Chinese takeaway, rather than an "Indian" restaurant. My Gurkhali dish was OK, it had a bit of a sharp citrus / vinegary edge but wasn't unpleasant. Apparently it is their most flavoursome dish but the Balti had more taste in my opinion. The sides were good apart from the "Farm Foods" fries with an average length of 3cm. With two large parties trying to shout over each other, the noise level was far too high for us to have a relaxing evening, of course they are allowed to enjoy themselves but does it need to include shouting and over the top laughing? We paid up and left as soon as we could.

Food delivered exactly on time and piping hot. Absolutely delicious, so much chicken in my dish! Best takeaway we've had in ages. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant next time and would definitely recommend 👍

The service was courteous and helpful. The food was very hot and spicy. Had a bad night's sleep as the food was very rich giving me heartburn.

Pretty impressive takeaway meal. Worth a try and we will try a sit in meal based on what we got.

Had the large mixed grill, masala chips and naan bread, very average had severe dehydration all night, not impressed as me and my partner have had bad stomachs to contend with also!

Had takeaway last night, the mixed grill, chips and salad/sauce.. firstly the salad and sauce wasn’t in the bag, when we called they said “we’re too busy you’ll have to come fetch it” … we’ve had dehydration bad! And extremely bad stomach and cramps all day/night…. Won’t be going back.

First visit with my family last night. Very warm welcome and friendly service. Chose our food from the Specials section of the menu rather than the more generic Indian food choices. Everything was both different and delicious and we are definitely going to return.

Loved starter Onion Pakora very delicate taste. My main Everest Chicken I loved it. Smooth, tasty & enough of a subtle spice kick. Drinks pricey thou. Service for table of 12 bit slow as all mains out thou no rice, nans etc. Restaurant packed

Ordered food they said 1 hour and a half delivery, called to chase 2 hours later and they said it was being collected. 3.5 hours later they have shut, no food, no call to say not coming.

Post Panto meal Xmas Eve. Selection of mains and sides for 3 adults 2 children. Meal collected (still very hot when arrived home). Excellent food. Chicken Tikka Biryani was "exquisite". Yet again another 5 star eating experience courtesy of GK.

Our first time trying The Gurkha Kitchen tonight. Very impressed. Incredibly tasty. Hubby & me shared:- Pappadom ko basket Chicken mono Gurkhali chicken Phadi lamb Mushroom rice & naan bread Couldn’t eat it all. Very Nicely spicy. Definitely recommend

Absolutely brilliant. I usually have a naga or pathia, but opted for the Gurkali Chicken special. One of the best curries I’ve ever had👍

I’ve been here quite a few times since it’s been open and the food is to die for. Unlike other restaurants the food seems to be a made out of a lot more natural ingredients and it’s always tasty. The owners are lovely also.

Heard some raving reviews so thought I'd give it a go. Food arrived hot however was bland. Will stick to my usual.

One of the best takeaways i've had in a while. I got the chicken momo, Daal Makhani(black lentils), okra masala and the Koshi Ko Machha (tilapia fish curry) and everything was delicious. Definitely recommend the okra and the fish!

Me and the wife just had a takeout from here and the food was superb.. chicken was so soft and the nann bread was fantastic. Defo be returning :)

Had a takeaway for the 1st time today. I collected the food and it was really tasty! My 3 children and husband really enjoyed the food too. Really fresh tasting with quality chicken! The food was ready within 20 minutes and the service was great! Will definitely be ordering again 👍🏽

I've had steamed momo before at a Nepalese restaurant - they are amazing generally, and are superb here. The Everest Chicken is also absolutely wonderful. I would strongly recommend this place to everyone who enjoys different and amazing food, as well as a friendly and great experience.
