Location has free parking after 5pm Mon-Sat. Nice decor, suede chairs and benches. Great food - ordered limbu pani, chilli paneer, karak chai, samosa chaat, gol gappe. Contains a decorative tuk-tuk. Reasonably priced. Would definitely come back. ----------------- Have been back here after 1.5 years, has a larger lunch/dinner menu, new breakfast menu. Ordered The Big Daddy breakfast and Chit Chat Chai Breakfast - again, fast service, relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing food, quick service. Great value for money

I got the non veg Thaal and it was a perfect amount of food. A little bit of everything. Papri chaat was tangy, sweet and malty. Samosa was super strong meaty flavour. Pakore were crispy, mildy spiced, seekh kebab was very juicy and the chai was a nice end to the meal.

Really like this place to eat in or take away. The food is delicious, service is always pleasant . Been having dinner and breakfasts here, always walking away with nice full belly.

I had a really nice experience dining at Gup Shup. It was my first time dining there and I was made to feel very welcome by staff and the owner. I had a desi breakfast of aloo, chana, halwa and puri. It was cooked to perfection the chana and aloo were both medium spiced and seasoned which is just how I like my desi food and the halwa was delicious too - sweet but not too sweet and garnished with almonds. The puris were light, crisp and nicely puffed up. I also ordered a cup of karak chai which was also lovely and the delicate flavour of cardamom really came through. I was also offered extra poori and chai. There was a good selection of dishes on menu both desi, English and Mediterranean. Next time I come I will be sure to try some different dishes.

Really good food and attentive service

We came early so was quiet, which was perfect for a little mother daughter lunch. We enjoyed the simple desi breakfast and the French toast. Found the tea to be a little underwhelming. But all in all nice and can’t wait to come try other items

Loved the cannon board, brought me memories of my childhood when I used to visit family in Bangladesh! We had the desi breakfast which was super filling and very tasty! yet to go back and try the burgers and biryanis

I have been to Gupshup a lot of times and have always thoroughly enjoyed my visits there. I exclusively go there for breakfast and like the Aloo parathas the best. Staff is very cooperative and has a very good sense of Asian taste and food. Hats off to the chef!!

It was a Bank holiday very quiet only us. The service was appalling, the food we ordered Dahi Puri, siracha and honey wings and Mumbai pav bhaji with tea. The tastes weren’t great. Dahi puri was awful all soggy and sour no real bursts of flavour. The tea was old and smelt, and came last after 20mins of waiting. Old wings just dolopped in lots of siracha and honey. Not great at all. Over rated on Instagram! Disappointed.

Taste is awesome. I had Desi breakfast which ha s Parathas, masala beans and omelette. It was such an awesome experience to dine such a tasty food in collier row. The Parathas was fluffy and the masala beans was so delicious. It was very classy, genuine and satisfying.

A great restaurant with tasty food that we would recommend! We just walked past Chit Chat Chai and thought it looked cool, and so decided to have breakfast there. The decor was snazzy and the host was very welcoming. There was a dedicated breakfast menu which had a great variety of Western and Indian food. We had the Egg bhurji and the Chit Chat English Breakfast. The Egg bhurji came with fresh parathas, and was a good size. The English breakfast was also well portioned and looked lovely. Both dishes came quickly, with heated plates, and were delicious. The pricing was also decent! The host/server was very nice to us and we had a great chat with him. We would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back soon for dinner.

Me and my husband went there for a brunch! The mixed grill was tasteless the chops were disgusting! The Shish kebab was awful even K.O Grill is million times better, no taste no spice or flavour! Chicken tikka felt as I was having plain boiled chicken! For sauce the guy gave us pfc chilli sauce I mean come on seriously… we also ordered chaat plater I have had nicer panni puri else were plus even I make it better and fresh sauce homemade! There were some uneducated customers there who couldn’t sort out their kids screaming running around everywhere couldn’t enjoy a peaceful time! As a parent you would carry kids activities so they are occupied instead of repeating “people are trying to enjoy a meal” those kids looked around under 2 and parents were not bothered about other people’s privacy bad parenting! Will never go there again!

Nice place for Indian snacks. Chaat was decent. Keema Paav could have been better. Friendly staff. Parking on road opposite. There's a carrom board inside to occupy kids.

The aaloo parathas were yummy and very filling. We also ordered full English, mango lassi and a mini breakfast platter for the kids. Tbh the rest of the food tasted very average. I have been before and enjoyed the meals, but unfortunately this time we didn’t find it as appetising as it had been on previous visits. Other than this, decor and cleanliness within the cafe was excellent. Not sure if I’ll come back, but I think it’s definitely worth a visit at least once ..!

We visited Gup Shup on Sunday 28 July for breakfast as a large group (7 adults and 5 kids) and were pleasantly surprised and deeply impressed with this gem of a place tucked away in Romford. All of the breakfast options we ordered were delicious and very well presented. The karak tea was freshly brewed and so much better than the other many tea outlets that use that awful powder based karak. I highly recommend Gup Shup - it really does have something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food being served. The owner, Mohsin, and his colleagues were very welcoming - I wish him and the team all the best with this restaurant and continued success. Keep up the great work and thanks for a great experience! This was aweeeeeeeeeesome. Will definitely be coming back. Mo was not only gracious about accommodating our unique orders but I love that he knew it was our first time and went the extra mile to feed us and make us feel comfortable.

It was an overall wonderful experience, the food and desserts were delicious. The service was also impeccable. I had the chai, and the orange juice, both great! Everything was properly thought out and had a luxurious feel. The food is well worth the money and the prices are great too! I was enjoying my food so I didn’t take any pictures.

Visited on 13 July 2024 around 4:30pm. We just missed the brunch menu but everything else was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional. We were served by a chap called Ruddy who was friendly and very informative. Will be back for brunch!

First time dining here, will be back iA. Great food, great presentation, great service. Update -- Came back again at the end of the same week and was disappointed. It was a polar opposite experience with disorganised service. They were mildly busy, but couldn't seem to cope. Be prepared to extend parking, and don't come hungry. Staff members did apologise profusely at end of meal and went to good effort to make amends, which was appreciated. Will likely keep us as a returning customer now.

Brunch at GupShup was lovely. The cafe was cozy and inviting with comfortable seating. Mo was incredibly friendly and attentive. We tried their veggie breakfast, chicken tikka wrap, masala fries and loaded poppadoms with fresh OJ and karak tea (which Mo very kindly let us try first to check how sweet it was) . I highly recommend GupShup for anyone looking for lovely food, great ambiance and a good chit chat! I will certainly be returning.

So first time I've been to Gup Shup, the Karak chai is the best, proper homemade which makes a change! I had the Chit Chat English which was cooked to perfection...and the saffron milk cake which again was probably one the best I've had for a while! All set in a lovely cozy space in Collier Row , Romford. Defo worth the visit wherever u are!

Great variety of desi and english breakfast, food came out fresh and cooked to perfection. Chaii was definitely made fresh and not those instant chaii mix. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to try this!!!! Ill be back again 🙌🏽

Just wow. I've been here on several occasions now. L Such a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in and a warm welcome from the staff is lovely. The food was straight up 10 out of 10, from your classic Asian cuisine to probably one of the best smash burgers in London (no cap) To the owner, you have done a splendid job representing the finest of Asian dishes, from the biryani to the lamb curries and not forgetting those amazing mango habanero chicken bites - these are a must if you love spice. Can't forget about the karak chai, possibly the best karak chai I've tasted and I'm not a tea person. Overall chilled vibes and family orientated ambience to cater for you and your family and friends. Overall would I come back to gup shup? The answer... definitely! I had an amazing time with some bussin food and a fun game of carom board. 15/10 🍔🍟🌯🥘🍨☕️🎂🍰🍦🍽🥤

we've ordered a few times and we genuinely love the food, we sometimes order in store and take home. but there seems to have been some breakdown in communication here. phoned the shop as driver was in same position for 1/2hour 1mile away, they told me the driver cancelled the order and the food was there. I went to the shop to pick it up. all very confusing, driver turns up at my house upset that shop said this, staff although lovely were unhelpful. we ate 45mins after food should have arrived

The food is delicious and plenty of vegetarian options. The portion size is generous and the taste is very authentic. We have tried the various starters and street food options as well. The weekend breakfast and brunch options are amazing. My personal favourites are the bhelpuri, aloo tikki chat, egg wrap, and halwa Chana Puri. Love the fact that my little one enjoys playing in the auto rickshaw and there is a carom board to play with too! One of my favourite go to places for comfort desi food !

Visited gupshup, had the halwa purri can tell it was all fresh ingredients and I had the English everything was on point. Clean place and friendly staff and nice atmosphere with songs playing . Defo recommend
