Guilford Kebab Centre in Guildford

I used to get food here but they are clearly only taking cash so they are not paying tax. They do take cards but won't tell you that. Go somewhere else with better food.

Edit to reply: I did contact Uber straight away and followed their instructions, which were to contact the restaurant as I did, but the only thing I received was a rude attitude from you instead of trying to solve the problem, as I only needed to add more food to my order. I Always deliver my order wrong, even when I always repeat twice what I want and ask if they put a note of that. Today was the worst experience as my order was placed by mistake. I called immediately to change it, and instead of helping me, they said they didn’t care and hung up on me. This will be my last time spending money with them; I will definitely use someone else.

Grilled chicken fillet burger is amazing!

This guys absolutely legend. The foods are serving very quickly. I asked them to i would like to eat-in look at the plate 🤤. Amazing

Very disappointed with the pizzas

If you can enjoy a lamb doner kebab when you're stone cold sober, then it's a good kebab. This was a good kebab. Generous portion of kebab meat even in the small doner. The chilli sauce was lovely. Crisp fresh salad as well.

Small portions means small here, lamb shish was watery and burned, not happy.

Went in for 2 kofta kebabs priced at 9 pou ds each and the quality was poor for the price my wife had to add the salad when speaking to the manager he was very rude and offered us 5 pounds off which was ridiculous first and last time that we will be visiting this kebab shop photo attached.

2nd time we have ordered and the food has been amazing both times now

Not sure about bad reviews. I've been going here since moving back to Guildford from SW London in 2013. Quality, taste, service, portion size and price have remained pretty consistent. I really don't understand the moans. Have they grudges? Do they work for the competition? BEWARE what you read, make your OWN mind up and try to give another chance if it get messed up first time. My go-to is the Lamb combination. Delicious marinated lamb chunks and donner with lovely salad and chilli sauce. I love an extra box of chillies and the delivery guy was friendly and cool. I didn't finish either the meat or bread, it was a great meal. The chilli sauce could be a lot better but hey. I miss my London Kebabs but for conservative Guildford these are great. Keep it up GKH.

Just spoke with the friendliest politest person. Very nice and easy.

Cash only buisness and non sense. Said they don't accept card and tried to get us to get cash from a machine near by. Then told us to order on online. 2024 and they thinks it OK to have cash only... joke.

They are scamming, they have different prices on leaflets on google and on website and when the delivery came it was more than both of them, i ordered mixed Kabab its 15.8£ on leaflet, 19.2£ on website and it was 24£ in bill, and when i called the manager he was very rude asked me to pay or send it back i don’t have time for calls, such rubbish

Moved to doncaster 2 years ago from guildford. I am still looking for a takeaway to match the food of this place. Badly missing the kebab and specialy the humus. I hope the quality and the service is still the same, i wish you were at donny too. cheers

Tasted kebab from various restaurants in Guildford and these gentlemen are the best as they claim. Meat quality and hygiene are really high.

Place okay, location good, prices slightly high, but overall good experience.

Have been eating kebabs from here for many years. It is a bit disappointing now. Chicken shish and Doner taste good BUT: *Portion sizes are now very small (salad especially). *Salad is bulked out with onion, maybe to save on the cost of the more expensive ingredients. *Order is ALWAYS wrong re extras that you have paid for (it doesn’t matter if you order online or over the phone and how clear you are/they repeat the order back to you etc).

did not get my order, i order though just eat. i called the kebab place but the manager did not want to listen. the drive called my phone i answered but no reply i hang up. Drive said it was delivered. I have ordered through uber eats and not a problem several times. the order was to holliday inn hotel, i am not going to be fighting over £15 when staying at a hotel for 5 nights. The food is good but delivery not, if you are going to order use uber where you can get a pin to confirm delivery. sad the manager was speaking up for the driver who did not do his job

The food is really good but the prices are a bit steep. However, the service is terrible, it’s actually a hostile encounter and after several visits I’ve decided I’m no longer using them as a place to eat. You’re ignored at the counter in favour of online orders and telephone orders. Manners are completely absent and so is any form of customer service.

Chicken donna pizza, Was just a fin margarita pizza, cooked left sitting around then chicken donna put on top was Horrible, I suppose it's the new way of making pizza, To cook the pizza and then put the toppings on after, plus The cheese tasted off, Was unedible The chips was also absolutely disgusting It seems like they cook too much at once, leaving them around, only to be throw back into the fryer With new order, Overall taste: Reheated, Stale. Horrible oily taste. There is so Much more better places to eat from in Guildford kebab pizza ect would extremely recommend avoiding this restaurant as The customer service here Is absolutely? Disgusting, RUDE staff Any issues you are basically told to stuffed, Would not spend a single penny more here!

Ordered through deliveroo, i think its very expensive for what it is but the food is tasty and came hot! Also think the portion sizes should be bigger for how expensive it is or the prices come down and more sauce on burgers and kebabs ect. I would order again though as it it does taste lovely and our pizza was better than any pizza places!

First time ordering from here. Was served quickly and staff were friendly. Food arrived within 10 mins, chips were hot, nice and crispy. Chicken shish.waz tasty, lamb doner was thin and small bits rather than strips. Portion size wasn't great either. Not what I'd call value for money.

Ordered a kebab and inc salad had to wait over an hour when it turned up it was missing the salad contacted them refused to give a refund or send out salad !! The owner we spoke to was very rude with no customer service experience at all !!!

If you don't want to take card payments, Simply Just Do not write on your flyer that We accept all major cards. It is simple.

Very rude staff and disrepectful to their customers. Dont go there. Avoid them if possible. Only thing i asked for to put pita bread and mushrooms skewer in a seperate foil take away container which costs only 0.20p. Instead you insulted me which as a 1st time customer some one will never expect this kind of rude behaviour. You serously need some customer service coaching classes mate.

We ordered 80 pounds worth of food,and they only sent half the order but took our money, would not refund for missing items and was so rude on phone when I rang to tell them.

I always tend to get their 6 hot wings. Cheap price and lovely crispy wings, with a lot of flavour (very crispy!!) and for a great value. The man that works there is very welcoming and kind.

The food is very delicious, good variety of dishes, I like their lamb doner, but also tried kabab, chicken, veggies kabab. Actually all test amazing. I would recommend not adding the dressing on the food but have it is separate. The people were gracious and polite, but a bit busy. The delivery was quick and on time. Overall, it is a nice place and I am satisfied each time I get food from this restaurant. Overall

Takes for ever to deliver (over one hour) and cold when arrives. Pretty consistant experience for me. Food is OK when heated through again!

Bang for the buck. Really nice quantity, and the chicken shish taouk was really good.

Received my order of a Doner Kebab and chips. Stone cold like it just got taken out of the refrigerator. Disappointed isnt the word. Have since spoken to restaurant and they blame Deliveroo. Restaurant contacted Deliveroo who have taken responsibility.

A nice Kebab place where you get doners also. The doners are confined to lamb and chicken though. There are kebabs which are always served fresh. The place is a large one, which allows for seating of at least 16 people. Evenings are mostly busy with a constant flow for takeaways, so don't be surprised if it takes time for them to serve your even if you don't see other customers. Something I didn't like is that the door at the entrance is kept open even in winters, making the consumption of food there less enjoyable.

Literally 30 minutes ago I ordered 2 chicken kebab for £16 and was given lamb kebab...I can't have lamb, I almost threw up. Can't recommend...

Placed an order around 11pm and still had no delivery by 12, so called up the shop only to be told they closing and can’t see our order, so gave order number through their own site and then they confirmed payment had already been taken and the order was there but they not going to do anything about it as they want to go home and we should of called earlier even though delivery stated about a hour wait.I was told a refund will be made but as I said can I have confirmation they ended the call and then wouldn’t pick up again. We have ordered many a time from this place and never had an issue like this. Absolute let down that their mistake has made us wait for food that was not going to turn up and now I have to wait until tomorrow to call and check if refund was in fact made.

Great kebab shop just outside the town centre. I was given a free portion rice to see what it was like - and excellent it was too. I had a lamb shish kebab, which had great flavour and was perfectly cooked. Good food, friendly staff, and very popular

Terrible terrible service and food, you guys need to think about how you address and treat your customers....I would advise to avoid this takeaway at ALL costs.....Never again

Alright food, generous portions but expensive for what it is and chips were slightly undercooked

I am regular visitor of this place, but today I ordered first time a delivery (kebab central special) , where I requested to them no lamb only chicken but they brought with lamb and I complained about it than they redelivered in next 30 minutes with chicken. I must say food is so fresh and yummy, service out of the notch . I do really appreciated about your customer service. Thank you guys 🙏

Ordered a kebab centre special but asked for extra lamb doner instead of chicken doner, also asked for wraps instead of pitta. Was told it wouldn’t be an issue. Got home and they obviously hadn’t listened, we had pitta breads and chicken doner, they had also forgot the large portion of chips we asked for!!!

Ordered for me and my girls and it was outstanding, fresh and hot. Like the way you keep the meat salad and bread separate so it's not soggy and wilted before receiving. Garlic sauce is delicious.Portions are of a decent size and very tasty...highly recommend. But I wouldn't order from Deliveroo as they are what delays the delivery not the shop...spoke to a lovely lady at the shop and she couldn't be more helpful.

Excellent marinated lamb and chicken, very good shawarma ,high quality food. Amazing hummus and garlic sauce, I've been coming here for years. I was doing a BBQ today, I'd made my own Koftas but knew I couldn't make hummus and garlic sauce as good as theirs, so popped in to buy some. All good but I was a little confused because they said no cards cash only, so I had to go to the ATM next-door. Couldn't really understand why. If you order online you use a card. Anyway, nevermind the sauce was as excellent as ever.

This food at this place is 10/10. The Donner pizza was amazing and fresh. Delivery guy was friendly. The chilli sauce is out of this world never tasted one like it. Really complimented the pizza. Shame I'm a 179 miles away from it as I was only visiting the area!!
