Ground Espresso Belfast - Fountain Street in Belfast

I just go here if I'm buying manga comic's.

My experience in this particular Ground was mixed. The location is quite nice but getting a table can be difficult at times especially during lunch rush and weekends. Food and coffee is decent quality. The problem I have with this store is the customer service, it lets the store down. The blonde foreign lady really needs trained in how to deal with customers, she comes off as quite rude and arrogant and unhelpful. I think her name might be Gin going off the latest review before this one. Besides that the store is pretty nice.

During my time in ground, considering it was my first time, I was served by an old looking lady with washed out blonde hair. I thought my eyes were deceiving me as she turned around after violently scratching her behind, lifting her hand to aggressively inhale, and took the cash from my hands. I meekly remember her name being gin. Disgusted is an understatement.

I really like Ground. Their coffee is good, staff are friendly, prices are reasonable and their food is tasty. Although I wish they cover their food, hygiene is really important.

It's the best brownie I had in the city. You have to try it!

Been here many times over the years and was appalled by the service this morning. Loneliness is a very serious issue, I have loved going here and reading, but I came home today and cried, I hoped the person in charge is happy with her so called "multi skilling. I will never be back.

Delicious hot chocolate. £3.60 for a regular. Friendly quick service. 4 stars as ordered a milkshake but no ice cream in stock so partner had to choose a drink from the fridge. Would recommend for hot drinks 👍🏼

Everything is good except wifi+ mobile signal + “staff only” door that is a total nightmare

My first stop in Belfast flying from London. Friendly staff, great coffee, superb bap.

Always use ground coffee shop when I am in the town , nice staff, good coffee and food . One problem when I entered today the girl serving told me to look if I could get a seat , Luckily there was one available , but also there where at least three people sitting with laptops with empty coffee cups beside them , the other chairs were taken up with there coats and laptop cases .I said to the girl serving , she told me she had to ask a person to move earlier on , as he had been sitting for an hour and a half . We had our food and moved on , the people on laptops were still sitting , next time I'll go elsewhere

A good location situated on the first floor of Waterstones bookshop. A nice atmosphere, friendly staff and very well made Flat White coffee.

What a coffee shop!! Got cortado and americano-very tasty, not over roasted beans. And desserts...!! Super tasty blueberry muffin and the salted caramel brownie the best I have had!! Friendly staff

Fabulous, great tempting food and the coffee was fresh snd ground while the taste was amazing. Not over priced. Staff very pleasant. And while other coffee bars are busy and over hot. This one's open and spacious.

Absolutely great service and my god are the drinks amazing !! We got a strawberry split (vegan) and a salted caramel brownie shake. Both were made very fresh and quickly and the prices weren't too bad. Lovely quiet atmosphere very kind barista.

Will not be going back didnt have baps left so picked a bagel which was rock hard serve wasnt any good

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere to disconnect from the madness of the surrounding city. Free WiFi & a good collection of books are nearby. Ask for the Mumbai Chai latte for an extra treat.

Amazing brownies and good tea and coffee

Went for Sci Fi Book Club - lovely place, coffee was perfect and all of the staff were incredibly welcoming. I had no idea it was inside Waterstones. Superb!

Worst burnt coffee I've ever had. Plus the rubbish service. Staff more interested in their own chat than working Big call serving up this horrible experience right next to a Starbucks.

Microwaved paninis are disgusting, really disappointed! I was a fan but this has really put me off, it just seems so lazy not to use a panini toaster.

Pretty underwhelming food, got a beetroot wrap and a 'filled bagel'. The bagel was as seen on picture. Pretty sad amount of everything just thrown on a plate. The beetroot wrap was dry like paper and there was barely any falafel in it. Coffee was OK. Will never be back.

I love this place. Wonderful that it is in a great bookshop but of course the coffee is excellent and the staff couldn't be nicer.

Amazing hot chocolate, which is my favourite

I ordered for a group of six and the service was polite and quick, and according to the group all the drinks were nice. I liked the use of glasses for presentation of some of the coffees, and the large coffee cup my own drink came in was also very nice. I am abled bodied by as far as I can tell the cafe is wheelchair friendly with plenty of space to maneuver and a disabled bathroom at the back of the cafe. There was no loud music playing but there were occasional loud noises from the coffee machines as expected. The shop is in a good location, close by the multistory carpark but still within easy walking distance of the city centre. There is a nice variety of seating from small two person tables to large benches for groups, and it is not cramped like many small coffee shops are. There was also outside seating opening into a pedestrian only walkway, although there is still relatively loud traffic noise from the nearby road. We didn't eat anything during our visit but there appeared to be a nice selection of snacks and lunch style foods available. The bathrooms were relatively clean, although not as clean as I would like, but everything worked and toilet paper and soap was stocked up. The style of the cafe is a nice modern and airy space, managing to be both minimalist and cozy at the same time.

Come here all the time, staff are fantastic and friendly. Most importantly they all make great coffee. The atmosphere is wonderful and the aesthetics are lovely. My favourite coffee shop by far

For me the best coffee in Belfast. And with a conscious. Huge tray bakes. Also good place to catch up work, with power sockets and free wi-fi. A regular work meeting place of mine.

Emaulate coffee, good atmosphere and good treats. A good place to have lunch or snack and free WiFi which is available for a bit or longer if you fancy working somewhere different from the office.

Decent café. The honey and lavender cake is delicious.

Really bad experience. Ordered and paid for order. Went to my seat my partner got served it then took a further 5 mins after for them to approach me and say they had no bananas for a milkshake. Changed to a hot chocolate then I had to wait until other customer were served before my hot chocolate was even served meaning my partner had since finished not only his coffee but also his bun. Rubbish and on a special treat for our anniversary. Not even a sorry for the inconvenience. Won't be back

Beautiful little spot only let down by the very bitter, unsweet coffee that left a citric like aftertaste in my mouth for an hour or so afterwards

I liked it, only negative was that there were no windows being right at the back of the shop (on the first floor). It was cozy.

I used to love this place but now I'm always disappointed. It's changed and gone all hipster and not in a good way. It's trays are too small for its plates and coffee accoutrements. The staff are perpetually rather fed up - probably because they are too busy. Still had its fabulous snickers cake but you can go to the ground on Wellington Place for that and have a much nicer experience but without the books...

Good coffee, but really strange location. It's at the top and to the back of another shop. Weird to get to and it totally disturbs the atmosphere, but the coffee is pretty decent.

This cafe is really so-so. The service is painfully slow at lunch hour and the staff seem unable to improve this situation. Don't order the sausage rolls as they aren't warmed properly and if you are having tea get them to put 2 teabags in the pot or you'll just get hot water. However, the coffee and the rest of the food is fine and it's nice to be surrounded by books.

This is a good place to relax if you're not in a hurry. The food is good and the coffee too. There is free wifi and if you can't find it, it's in Waterstones book store on the first floor.
