Asked for a coffee and apple pie. Was asked by young female cafe assistant if I wanted it warm which I said yes please. However when I started to eat it , it was cold in the middle so I asked for a replacement. She then asked her someone senior if she could. Her attitude from when I asked her about warming it up was quite resentful. To make matters worse, when she gave me another piece of pie she was picking it up with her gloved hands , and made no attempt to use tongs. I asked her why and her response was again quite argumentative. I also noticed that a phone was sitting on the side in the food preparation area. Not a good report for hygiene standards. Also I felt that she made some derogatory remark to the kitchen staff about me, as I heard a burst of laughter. Poor experience.

It's a nice little place but it's filthy it could do with the staff cleaning a bit more as there's crums and old food everywhere. The drinks are ok but the sausage rolls and food are dreadful, the sausage roll looked like it had died and I was told it couldn't be warmed up but I didn't expect that meant it was coming out the fridge... Very disappointed and definitely wouldn't go again

All the sandwiches and sausage rolls were anemic in colour, even after going into their little oven the pastry on my sausage roll was raw on the bottom, I asked them about it and they had no clue just said its hot so it's fine. Lovely service overall but a young team who need some leadership. The space is nice BUT its basically a giant creche so really noisy and needs more frequent cleaning.

This is a nice space. The tea and coffee were okay, hard to get that wrong! But the lady taking my order was bossy, arrogant, disrespectful. A wooden knife to spread butter with. Her colleague who made the drinks was very pleasant. I'm clearly in the wrong demographic, not having fancy coffee and cake.

Driest carrot cake ever but being advertised as ‘Best carrot cake ever’. Did eat a third of cake before returning and asking for a refund. I was denied refund as i had eaten too much! I did explain I was trying to get to the fresh part of the cake. Disappointed to not be offered alternative option.

Always excellent service. Very friendly. Lots of space for families with young children. And a small play area. Good coffee.

Decided to go for the turkey melt and peppermint hot chocolate. Very disappointed tbh. Turkey melt was stodgy with wilted salad and was very sweet. Hot chocolate extremely sweet. Not worth £10.50. No conversation at counter either or napkin or spoon given. Would not come back tbh.

The place was dirty with trays of cups etc covering most of the tables. One member of staff is rude and has an attitude problem.

Can't fault it. Great coffee, comfortable, nice area for kids to play. My boys and I loved it and will be back.

I love coming here. It’s down the road from me, super convenient if I’m running errands, and a lovely bright and airy space. The food and drinks are tasty and generally the staff are friendly and helpful. Got a couple of issues: - despite closing at 8, they turn the ovens off at 5,30-6 (not sure what time exactly, hasn’t seemed consistent) which is sad for those of us who finish work around that time and would like a hot sandwich - sometimes the staff will carry on their own conversations whilst serving me. I’m not here to police who you can talk to, there are plenty of opportunities to chat to each other on the job, but whilst you’re taking my order or my payment? That’s rude However, I do keep coming back because it’s a pleasant place to be. It wouldn’t take a lot to make this place a 5 star

Comfortable, friendly, with lovely coffee shop. Only let down, very little choice for us Coeliac/ Gluten Intolerant customers. We would like something nice too !!

Pleasing atmosphere here and welcoming after a morning shopping. If coffee is all you’re after this is good although pretty pricey. However if you want cake with your coffee then head to another establishment. They look appealing but were dry and very overpriced. I chose a chose a brownie which was a very small offering and tasted like it had been baked days ago. No gooey Centre and mostly dry and crusty.

Great little place for a rest from shopping and staff very pleasant

Called in whilst doing a bit of shopping, was nice, quickly served and reasonably priced too, sat on the nice comfy lounger, only negative is the chairs could do with a clean.

Just had coffee, which was fine, but although there were plenty of tables free, not many were clean.

Was was nice, coffee was excellent, service was good, atmosphere was lively.

Lovely coffee shop located in Next at the Bedford Retail Park. The coffee was tasty, and the cakes we had were amazing. The raspberry and white chocolate muffin was the best, in my opinion. Well with a visit if you're at the retail park.

Coffee and food were fine but almost every table hadn't been cleared so it was difficult to find somewhere to sit.

So slow qued 40 min for coffee. Had to empty dirty tables to get a seat. They were busy, and was lunch time so surprised staff were buying in front of que for their breaks. Not a break time at peak time, I'm sure Nice coffee though. And was relaxing when sat down. Like this place hasn't put me off but needs organising or staffing up! As helped clear table last visit.

Not very clean. All tables and floor needed some clearing, wiping and sweeping. The two behind the counter were content in chatting even after I cleared two tables for them. There was even a sign to apologies for wait as they are short staffed??!!..How long does it take to sweep a floor? Millennials. On a plus point, the coffee was Exceptional.

A great cafe located upstairs in Next. I like my coffee and the team here take real care over the preparation. Not your usual high street mass produced coffee, it is much better. The food & cakes are really nice and I particularly spotlight the amazing Bacon Bagel and "Worlds best carrot cake"...yum Finally, the staff are a wonderful bunch. A really great spot for a cuppa.

We found a spare table but it was filthy, covered in crumbs and spilt coffee. I went to the counter to order and ask for the table to be cleaned but left after requesting a decaf coffee and being advised that they were out of decaf.

My three years old son take the donut from the display, I come in front of the till, asking the first costumer in front if that’s ok if I just pay for the donut now, cos the que was long and my son will get nervous if he has to wait that long. He is just a kid. So the " MENAGER " told me that she have people in the que to serve. I’m just reminding here that this was just a donut worth 3£ in here which I was about to give straight away. She didn’t let that happen so I just sat at my table waiting until they serve all the people. The ‘ MENAGER " come at my table, yelling at me in front of my kids and my friend telling the that I cannot take the food from display by myself coz now she need to get rid from all of the donuts 😂 I’m just gonna say that the donuts aren’t even cover so everyone can sneeze on them, cough and this doesn’t matter. My son touch the donut which he take it straight away. She also told me that the food hygiene is 5 which by looking at the " food display " I don’t think it is. While most of the cakes, donuts etc are uncovered. Is unacceptable for anybody shout on me in front of my kids. This was just a donut. I wasn’t placing a new order. I won’t say anything about that I was cleaning my table the other day, and wherever you look is just mess.

Nice decor some of the staff need customer service training as they had no skills at all. The young lad who made the coffees was excellent.

Food is good, but you often have a long queue with staff seemingly tripping over each other, resulting in mixed up orders and items missing.

As a coffee lover I travel far and wide for an amazing coffee. And I've visited her several times, the location, and wonderful view of the retail park, seating is great but... the coffee has been more like warm milk. I always mention before I pay and it's always the same warm milk at 2.90, yet I never complain after thinking maybe that's their latte style. In summary - If you want a cup of warm like at £2.90 with a side of attitude, this is the place to come! 😒 Although on one occasion I met a lovely friendly young lady working behind the till who made me a smashing coffee!!!!! Just the way it should taste and be! I noted the days she works as she seems to make the best coffees, just the right! And there is a way to make a smashing latte, which she has mastered. Then next time I decided to say something, I was very uneasy and anxious, one of the ladies was great made me feel at ease and said they would make again. Then.... uh no... She mentions to the lady making the lattes, the lady looked down for a few secs, and then I was given a look, the wdh look 😒, and I got a 'how do you want it?!' When I said less milk would be great thank you. I got attitude and an explanation of how lattes are made 🤣 I didn't argue or want to offend her but truth be told, I know how lattes are made I've worked with Batista's and coffee shops, and she didn't know how to make so I just asked for less milk and rather not upset her, as she clearly looked annoyed 😳 So instead of a lovely bank holiday weekend reflection with my journal and a lovely cup of coffee, I got a latte with attitude, less milk did the job but not as good as it should be, like the lady who works on Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday's at this place. I give a 2 star as they never listen and even the extra shot, which I've had in the past not great. I only come back hoping the other young ladies around and a sit down once in awhile. I rather drive to Muffin Break in Luton, who have great service and smashing coffee! It's rarely off and milky, but when it is, which mistakes happen, they listen and make it again with help from a more experienced Batista, who is always around and it's spot on! And they are super busy but never give a side of attitude with any cup 😉 It's disappointing as these guys have so much potential! It's not personal JUST MAKE ME A LATTE, DON'T LECTURE ME JEEZZ! If I wanted a lecture I'd go back to university. Seriously, wish I was a nasty person as times 🤔 I believe we should treat others how we would want to be treated, sadly I didn't experience that or customer service today. Only that lovely young lady who works Fri to Mon 5* 💓 A little gem that one! I know if I said something to her she would help with a smile 😊 It's only 2 stars, as location, view and seating is good 👍

Bacon Brioche are lovely and the coffee is good too. Nice little play area for the kids and plenty of space/tables. Seem to be short of staff and it is sometimes painfully slow to get served and hard to find a clean/clear table. If they can sort those issues out then 5 stars.

The food can be tasty. Expensive But tasty. But the service is really really slow. Disappointing

Lovely look but when we went cakes were mouldy (luckily binned when we told them) but more worrying not a single table was cleared on cleaned our whole visit despite one staff member sat on her laptop the whole time? But the girls behing the counter were lovely, especially the one on the tills, and coffee was nice.

Beautiful bright, airy and modern place to meet friends. Great location with plenty of free parking. The staff are all happy, smiling and helpful. Good varied menu - with chocolate brownies are to die for! Highly recommend as a perfect place to eat and drink at a reasonable price, with great service.

Ground is honestly my number 1 choice of cafe to go to! Staff are all ever so friendly, food is delicious, and drinks are to die for! My personal favourite drink- a chai latte with an espresso shot, definitely try it!

A little gem of a place. Beautiful decor, nicely spaced and airy. Staff super-helpful and friendly. The coffee is wonderful, as is the signature brownie and my daughter reports that the oreo milkshake is 'the best'..it certainly looked good ❤️. Give them a go!

Lovely looking cafe, but my coffee was lukewarm, and my bacon bap was fairly tasteless.

Great customer survive! The tea is so soothing and the workers are so kind. Would definitely recommend going here for a lovely tea or desert :)
