After going to the wonderful Control room B for cocktails we had some pancakes then wandered around the pop up exhibit about Battersea Power station. We were gasping for a coffee and we came upon a quaint little van selling coffee. It was over priced and revolting. Such a shame as all the branding and ethos look great. Sorry, it’s not nice coffee. Maybe spend less on the marketing and more on good quality beans.

Popped in here while I was getting my tyre changed across the road. Got an amazing fresh vegan sandwich and a hot chocolate. Nice selection of home made cakes and Turkish breads. Nice family atmosphere and friendly service.

Had breast with work colleagues before heading to the office. Service was quick, the food tasted good and reasonably priced for the location. I would visit again and recommend.

Came in here as we were starving and after a late breakfast. Ordered 2 coffees, must say that wasn’t my favourite taste of coffee but that’s me. I also ordered a coke, must say the 200ml little bottles is a bit stingy! The smashed avo and bacon was nice I really enjoyed it. Lots of avo and it was fresh! Must say the poached egg was a bit snotty and needed slightly longer. Other half had a full English and he seemed happy with it. Would recommend if looking to dive in somewhere decent and not a chain.

Nice little spot however the food wasn’t great. Service was good but way over priced. Would be nice for a catch up and a coffee perhaps but wouldn’t eat here again.

So Grind is a bohemian coffee bar that also serves cocktails... to have cocktails... you must order something from the food menu to cover the licence .. which I get... but when I order the fried courgette, lemon and tofu aioli... I didn't expect battered and fried lemon or the cockamimi story that went with it about the boss having been to Sicily, trying 'these Sicilian lemons' and wanting customer to try them to.... blah, blah, blah... Well mixed in with my 5 pieces of courgette was not expected or wanted... with me unsuspectingly taking a bite out of one... it totally ruined my experience... shame the boss wasn't there to explain themselves really...

The setting was promising as we stepped up from the pavement into coffee house. The service was poor with a shrug of indifference and sour face. The coffee was bitter and served in a glass with no handle. Awkward to hold. The flatbread and hummus was tasty and the only good thing about the place. We won’t be returning.

I love the menu here but had to ask to be served as we kept getting ignored. Would come again when less busy.

Great food, busy but friendly staff, and excellent teas and coffees. Brilliant place to meet just south of the river.

This place has every element to cure the worst hangovers going! Myself and a friend decided to visit after a heavy night out in Camden and loved it. Everything was fresh and tasty, the oranges were squeezed in front of us for our orange juice. The coffee was also strong and smooth, we both had the pancakes with streaky bacon and maple syrup and it was gorgeous! Service was also good and friendly. Will be returning.

I have made Grind a favourite now for about 6 months. I come about 4-8 times a month, whether for a coffee and a place to setup and work (great wifi) or a place to relax on a Saturday or Sunday morning with friends for brunch - it never disappoints. Sure it is expensive, but the quality of the coffee and food more than warrants the prices. Their breakfast menu always pleases all my friends and their limited lunch menu is delicious - be it salads, sandwiches or their burger which I really rate. I am incredible fussy about brunch, burgers and coffee and this place has it nailed.

Pool service and expensive coffee. Food openly on display surrounding the till, a croissant was drying out by the till, people were brushing against the food not very appealing, quite a shame as the food all looked good.

I have used this cafe for many years and since the proprietor Ali left it seems to have lost it’s way as on a number of occasions they are advertising dishes on their menu which they no longer prepare or have the ingredients for, therefor they need to update the menu to reflect what is currently available. I have also noticed that the sauce bottles they use have broken lids and could potentially be unhygienic.. A tweak here and there would benefit.

Visited the cafe and really enjoyed the atmosphere and we found the staff to be both friendly and helpful. Definitely plan to visit again.

Here just for drinks while we waited to check in to Premier Inn just round the corner. Service was okay and coffee okay. Seems to be a café /coffee shop to bring your gadgets and look at your screen. Depends upon your point of view whether that is good, bad or indifferent.

We've been here before, maybe a year ago and the experience was good, however on this occasion it was poor. We selected what we wanted from the website menu however when we arrived it was apparent that the website menu was out of date; some of our selections were not on the table menu. Two of our party selected Sausages and mash but there were no sausages so had to select something else. Three of us ordered fish & chips but bizarrely there was no vinegar available. It's the first establishment I've ever been to where you couldn't get vinegar with fish and chips. One of our party ordered a burger which was supposed to have two patties but was more like one and a half. He went to complain about it but nobody came back to us. When paying at the bar I mentioned the burger issue and the guy I was talking to went off to check with the server and he knocked this meal off the bill. I also pointed out that they had missed £60 worth of wine off the bill. He added it on to the bill but I didn't get any thanks for this. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I feel that the main issue however was the demeanour of the staff. Instead of "I'm awfully sorry we've ran out of vinegar" and maybe an explanation of why, it was "we haven't got any vinegar". It wasn't " I'm really sorry, we've had a run on the sausages and there aren't any left" or something like that, it was "we haven't got any sausages", It wasn't "we're really sorry the burger meal wasn't up to our usual standard" or something like that, it was "I've knocked it off the bill". It wasn't "oh, that's really good of you to let us know we'd missed the wine off the bill" or something like that. It was, well nothing really, it just got added to the bill. It was if having customers there was an inconvenience to the staff. There was minimal eye contact, no smiles and avoiding contact with customers as much as possible appeared evident. Wish we had gone somewhere else. We certainly won't be going again. I'm writing this in response to an email from the Nine Elms Tavern saying that my option matters. It will be interesting to see what, if any, response I get to this.

Have been visiting bi-annually for last 3 or 4 years. October 2024 visit very disappointing. Menu has been shortened and made very generic. Decor is tired. Staff are still pleasant but the buzzy ambience and perception of leading the trends are gone.
