Grillish in Kirklees

Staff lovely, cheesy chips lovely but pizza poor. Too much base not enough topping

I used to go to grillish years ago and the food was good along with the service. But recently I have gone and it seems as its under new ownership and its not great. First of all, I ordered 2 sets of grilled wings and chips and both set were slightly uncooked wings which both me and my partner were not satisfied. The service wasn't upto scratch like not giving sauces and when asked for sauces, am getting dirty looks to ask for 2 sauces for 2 meals. The only positive is the seating inside. The advice I would give to the owners and staff here is learn how to cook food before opening doors.

The only chicken shop open late night on a weekday I went around 1am my food came very fresh amazing quality I recommend this place 100%

That lady is very strange; she has no idea how to run a business. She doesn’t even give out sauce—she's so stingy that she won’t even provide sauce. If anyone comes here, it's only because of the taste of the food. No one will come because of your attitude.

The chicken was soft ,juicy and nicely cooked. Staff was very friendly and respectful. Highly recommended.

Ordered a full chicken and the texture and value is excellent. My go to place for a full chicken in huddersfield. Only downside is the extra charge for the sauces but still value overall. Appreciate the fact that there’s a toilet and sink upstairs to wash hands after eating.

New management. Better quality. Been coming here for almost 2 years but the new management knows how to manage the quality. Absolutely fantastic. Loved tge chicken strips.

Decent grilled chicken, could easily get adicted to the flavour Good meal options and fast service The rice are the good pilou rice, authentic flavour Chicken has a tasty marinade, not overly spicy, grilled nicely not burnt, skin was crispy and chicken was tender not dry. The oil was old and it tasted of fish, someone fried a fish burger in the same vat and ruined the oil for chips and wings. All in all love the chicken they make The staff are lovely very helpful kind people, the old school Bollywood music playing in the back was nice to listen to whilst I waited

Ordered a burger, it was literally ice in the middle. Only ate as I was So hungry but still had actual ice. Feel very sick now 🤑

The person there wear no gloves. Have seen him touching everything around with bare hands and carries your burger with the same hand.....if u don't believe watch him when he makes your burger 😂.. and I can assure you will go anywhere else but this place...VERY VERY VERY UNHYGIENIC ....DO NOT EAT

Awful customer service. watched the man pick his nose and then grab my chicken out of the heaters with his bare hands straight after, hygiene all over the place and dirty inside the store too, would not recommend if you don’t want to get ill

Today is my last day I will never come to this takeaway. The guy very rude he was sitting inside didn't come to counter even after calling then I asked for one portion rice he said finished but gave to other customer same time. I really disappointed.

We order from here all the time, today we ordered via just eat, the app said it was delivered, we ring up and they said it would be a few minutes, when it arrived it was cold. Rung up to complain and was told that they can’t refund until just eat gives them the money, never again it’s gone down hill!

Absolute rip off. Got chicken wings with fries.. the wings were all bones, no chicken on it whatsoever.

I asked for a peri peri burger meal and told the guy twice please no mayo on the burger. I also ordered peri peri salad. I got the food, the peri peri salad the chicken was hard, the burger had mayo on it, I said to the guy there's mayo on this, his response was you don't like mayo and all, I said no that's s why I asked for no mayo the burger.

Appalling attitude to women. 3 women visited for food, told cannot eat purchased food on premises after 10pm in an aggressive manor. Then proceeded to serve food on trays to multiple groups of men for them to eat inside. Misogynistic and bad food too. Avoid, especially women.

All I asked for was a burger. The man made me a full meal in which I replied to him I always order just a burger he told me I could not have it. When I asked why I couldn’t have it he told me to leave the shop, threw the burger on the Side and got very aggressive to the point he was screaming in my face. I will not be visiting here again! Attitude was disgraceful!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Myself and my partner ordered food from here and it came 40 minutes late and wasn’t even our order. My partner rang the restaurant and they shouted down the phone at him and then hung up. I tried ringing them and was shouted down the phone at too. The man kept saying ‘We’re too busy to sort this’ VERY INCOMPETENT. So, after paying £20 for a takeaway, we’re left with food we didn’t order (which we don’t like) To the man on the phone, If you can’t handle working under pressure, don’t work in a busy takeaway dealing with customers. You’re rude and too much of a stress head for the job. Maybe listen to the customers needs before jumping the gun and shouting down the phone.

Really nice takeaway and the menagement is really superb. The food tastes very nice and also they have a very hygienic food. I recommend people to visit and taste the half chicken with rice.

The takeaway is really on the nice location plus u will b able to demand a lot of things from the stuff as they are very helpful and polite. Their peri peri chicken is spot on while for the rice is really it. They have a unique taste and I recommend all fast food lowers to join the place and get some delicious food.

Just ordered food, they have got the order totally wrong, food is freezing cold and looks rank, called up to ask what’s happen to be screamed at and a pile of abuse given down the phone. The morans obviously got the orders mixed up and instead of rectifying it they screw you over, money spent food not eaten waste of time, never again

Ordered online on just eat and told me they couldn’t prepare the order 30 minutes later for collection, disgusting behaviour, told to leave the takeaway and go elsewhere

Fresh testy and delish food with excellent service

Amazing food, and AMAZING Hospitality. There is absolutely nothing else to be said! The Bossman always takes care of me when Im hungry and thirsty filling me up with fresh food and drinks. I get treated nicely and their communication skills are on point, getting along with the boss is always good as it makes you feel like at home. This is my second home. Grillish is my home!

Amazing food! Very friendly service. I come from selby to eat here! It's always my first choice. The food is very tasty and made with good quality ingredients. I am a Support worker, and I took a client into Grillish because he wanted Chicken. We entered, and I asked my client if he wanted to sit down while I ordered the food. I had to take my time because there were so many menus, and we eventually sorted out the menu. The person serving me had been helpful so far. When the meal was ready he called me over, and I tried to take 2 trays for the meals. He grabbed hold of the tray and said "" one tray, are you normal"?I said " did you just ask me if I was normal"?He said "yes are you normal"? I said "very normal, and you are being really rude". You could see the realisation hit him that not both of us were disabled. I took the meals over and sat down. While we were eating our meal he came over and asked if my client was my brother? I said " no, I am a support worker, and he is my client" . He apologized, and said he was stressed. Shocking behaviour, and if I had had a learning disability, I may not have been able to confront his discriminatory behaviour, and he would've got away with belittling me.

Grillish became victim of political and interpersonal issues and grudges. Other party go every limit down to rate it worst. I would request them that this business might be bread and butter for so many families, stop fighting this low. I have seen it from inside a week ago, its clean than many other takeaways i.can assure that it might not be the most hygienic place one can go to but it is ome of the clean takeaways where all the hygiene standards are followed. (Not a paid review at all)

Hard to read the menu boards as the video changes too fast, mozzarella dippers were not great (hollow with barely any cheese in) although rest of food was good and very friendly polite and helpful staff
