food Is 10/10 rice snd peas are the best. just wish the fried goat was less lean and more fatty gives it more flavour.

The curry road exceeded my expectations! It was packed with flavour, a great portion size of meat included as well. The rice was fluffy and soft! They also gave a side salad. I’m honestly so impressed. I will 100% be back and try more dishes.

After having read all the positive reviews, we could only hope for the best from this Haitian restaurant. However, most of the experience was regrettable at best. We waited for almost two hours for our food, only to be served with the wrong food twice, both of which being served vehemently by the cook. The food was dry, especially the fritay which was definitely not worth the £24.5 it was sold for. The only up sides of this meal were the ambiance, which was pretty warm and welcoming, and the french waitress who was lovely dealing with the problems at hand. We hope other customers have a better experience than us, however we will not be returning to Tiki bar.

I saw this restaurant on tiktok where the food looked amazing! This restaurant is not far from my home so I decided to give it a go with one of my girlfriends. We were not disappointed at all. The service was impeccable and personable, the food was divine and the drinks were strong! Amazing combo. I would recommend the boss combo and the Fritay so you get to to sample loads of different dishes on a smaller scale. The mushroom rice was amazing, but the curry mutton stole the show. My friend and I are both from Jamaica families and we can safely say that this Haitian curry mutton is better than our jamaican curry. There was something special about it! The restaurant is intimate and made us feel like we were in a restaurant on an island somewhere warm! Will 100% be returning with my family for Sunday dinner. Love love love!!! The only Haitian spot in the Uk. I enjoyed the food, I had the Caribbean tapas platter which came with dumpling, plantain, rice and peas and the Haitian delicacies. Plenty of punch too. The staff and owner are so nice. Venue is small but in summer opens up.

Try the mixed pats, it's really good. One portion is enough for two people!

The best Caribbean food we've ever eaten in the whole of the UK. The Caribbean Tapas was a 10/10, and the portion was overwhelming that it was the first restaurant that I've asked for my leftovers to be packed 😆 🤣 As for the owner, he is top-notch. He is super friendly, conversational, and an extraordinarily sweet soul. We happened to meet and had a chat with a local(caucasian)who said phenomenal things about how involved and supportive the owner is in the lives of children in the community. It was so evident how some children with their parents(caucasians)from football came into the restaurant and were happily him reports of their football match(the most sweetest and friendliest interactions)😊 Lest I forget, the concept of the decor brought back so many memories of our motherland. We definitely felt so much at home, and we will be going back for the good food and the good vibes. Keep it up....all of you are awesomely awesome 👌

Unforgettable experience. Incredible food, friendly staff, and the largest selection of rums known to mankind. Would recommend to anyone. You can tell the owner is very passionate about the business, and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure customers are happy!

Second time coming back here and the service is 10/10 with a smile and very polite. Had a Tropical sharing starter to try everything , which was banging. Flavours galore! Enjoyed the meal, curry goat is succulent and soft and flavourful jerk chicken! Rum punch washed it down nicely ! Would definitely recommend and be back again. Thank you!

This is the best restaurant I've been to in a long time. The food was absolutely bursting with flavour and it had a great atmosphere. I had the seabass with rice and peas, plantain and the dumpling fritters with the exquisite jerk sauce. Will be back many times!!

What a dispointment. We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed. We had to knock the door. We sat near the radiator but it wasn't working. When the waitress came to the table to take the drinks order she got everything wrong. The restaurant doesn't cater for children. The waitress could not suggest any recommendations for the children 😕. Order starters they came slow. After waiting a while the mains arrived. However the prawns overcooked. Curry goat was majority bone and slightly salty did nit fall off the bone. The salad was limp and tasteless. Dispointmenting meal nobody enjoyed it.When the bill arrived it had extra items which we did not order had to complaintwice to rectify the bill. Hygiene in this restaurant needs to be looked at especially the toilets situation. This was a bad day 😕 for the restaurant and the recommendations did not liveup to i have read and seen. Mother's Day celebrations worse than the weather 🙃

I’m Haitian-American and this was just as good as the Haitian food in New York. We got the tapas plate and everything was phenomenal. The vibes are amazing and the owner was very warm. Honestly a highlight of our trip to London. I’ve told everyone I know who lives in the UK or plans to visit that they need to go here. When I visit London again this will be a mandatory stop. I ate here 8 months ago and I’m writing this review now because I still regularly think about how great this restaurant is

Great food, great value. Franklin was great all night

Took forever to serve food, no one particularly friendly, tired decor. Portions on small side. The pork pieces were dried out and tough to eat ( friend ate those) I had the sea bass which was lukewarm at best and a little pink and slimy in places but I wasn’t ill but then again didn’t eat those bits. We were starving by the time it came. The soup was tasty but no meat in it. When I googled the soup it said it included meat. Portion average.

The food is so delicious we keep coming back!! I'm sure we've tried everything on the menu now and it never disappoints! Huge favourites are the goat curry and the dumplings ❤️ Super friendly staff and great cocktails!

my friend and I randomly wanted to try haitian food, we were lucky that the only Haitian restaurant in London was this GEM. we got the Caribbean platter to try a bit of everything and the prawns a l’haitienne, legumes and bannann peze. everything was full of flavour and great quality. friendly staff and casual atmosphere but the star of the show was the shrimp. highly recommend visiting them!

I searched all of London for my people and they didn’t disappoint! Grill Shack has great staff and amazing food. The soup joumou warned me up on the inside in the cold rain, while the legume gave me the nutrient filled vegetables I needed. I had to finish my dinner off with a sip from their fully stocked bar. I come here regularly but today it wasn’t enjoyable we waited over an hour for the food to be served, my starter came out at the same time as my main and the dumpling fritter isn’t a dumpling in the traditional sense more like a tasteless flatbread Overall a disappointing experience

I am from Martinique, a small island in the Caribbean. It was my first time going to an Haitian restaurant. I had a great time with my friend there. The restaurant reminded me a bit of home. A warm welcome with friendly people. The owner is friendly, and he makes you feel at home. The staff is helpful, professional and friendly. The food is delicious. The atmosphere reminded me the restaurants in the Caribbean, it's authentic. I had a great time and the food was sooo good. Strongly recommend this place.

Genuine Caribbean experience for Islanders AND locals. Amazing jerk (in fact ALL the food). Lovely people, great selection of rum and always an interesting crowd! Loathe to recommend it as want to kerp it secret! Acton's crown jewel.

Now this is a proper restaurant that doesn't make you're food in a microwave.. Never have I taken a friend and they have not liked it and most of them are from the Caribbean..!

I ordered the Carribbean tapas absolutely great tasting chicken ribs wings and the curried goat is to die for not to mention the tiki fries great music and we met the chef lovely place and great staff

Grill Shack and Tiki Bar, is my Essential go to restaurant in London; they serve the feel good food, nurturing the body and soul... As a Caribbean girl flavoursome dishes are very important, and when presented within a tropical decor, it just adds to the experience, allowing me to reconnect with my tribe. I will indeed recommend Grill Shack and Tiki Bar London to anyone looking for a real taste of Haitian Culinary Heritage on a plate😋 👌

My new favorite restaurant in London! Amazing drinks (I got the rum punch) and everything on my plate was very tasty. I got the ribs and chicken plate with a side of plantains and legumes (veggies).

A diamond in the rough. A very intimate setting but great place to socialise with friends. Waited a little while to be served , but the food was well worth the wait as it was all fresh and made with love. I'll definitely be back to try more authentic haitian food

100 out of 10, the space is super clean,food is fresh,the cocktail Voodoo one of the bests I’ve tried in my life,the music is according with the space,the prices are very cheap for the quality of the food/customer service,the owner/staff make you feel like you are at home(comfy),I will come back to this place more times without a shadow of doubt!

If looking for the best strong cocktail in the whole London and bouremouth,this is the place to be,the rum punch is a must absolutely amazing,the food the goat curry and rice and the tiki spiced chips 🍟 unique chips 10/10 and then the atmosphere delightful ,was there last month in July going again this week in August

Hidden gem. I had the Veggie Legim with the Diri Djon Djon rice. Everything was really delicious - amazing flavours also very friendly service. I now want to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Chose the mutton with rap x2... Really disappointed with the amount of bone in the mutton... Now wether this was a one off I'm not sure as I've ordered from this restaurant before multiple times and have always been extremely happy... Although they offered to replace the meal I have to make arrangements to collect and as i don't drive not sure how this is going to happen...

Found this place from a TikTok video. Reached out to the owner via their IG account and he was super accommodating. Got there and had the griot, diri djon djon, plantains and side salad. Paired that with some Cremas and a Rum Punch. Both were fantastic. The food here is rich in flavor and the customer service is top tier. Will definitely come back again!

Haitian food at its finest!!! My husband and I had dinner there yesterday and the food was incredibly delicious. The cocktails were moreish and lovely. Lovely comfy cosy place with really lovely staff and owners. Have to go back, WILL be going back.

We came here for dinner and cocktails. The food is hearty and tasty: the best sticky ribs I've ever tasted, goat curry, fried plantain, sea bass... And the rum-based cocktails are de-lish. It's a friendly, unpretentious place; it was full on a Thursday night, so I'd recommend booking in advance.

We had our surprise engagement on the 26th November 2022. The first engagement party to be held at the Tiki Bar which was an honour. Wilford and his team were amazing and the food was excellent. The food was packed with flavour and spice.. especially the prawns!! We had a buffet for our event and had a bit of everything from the menu. Food was flavoursome with a Haitian twist!! Cocktails were nice and packed with a punch. Try and get a least 2 drinks from the cocktail menu and make sure your not driving... lol. Wilford and his team accommodated our every request and were welcoming and friendly. We had 30 guest for our sit down down dinner including babies. We had exclusive hire of the venue and transformed the bar with balloons, garlands and banners. We would definitely recommend this venue for any occasion and will be back!!!

We went there to celebrate a special occasion with family & friends. This place is truly a gem! As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the staffs who made us feel very comfortable. After placing our orders, the waiting was reasonable. The aroma of rich spices had drawn our attention...Our meals were ready! As we savoured our starters I noticed that it had all the authenticity that you will expect of Haitian Cuisine. We ordered tiger prawns..OMG it was out of this world. It had this spicy kick and sweetness blended which made this dish exceptional. We also shared a platter of barbecue chicken wings which were truly 'finger lickin good' munch munch...and as for the mains we couldn't get enough of the grilled chicken, curry goat, spare ribs and marinated pork 'À la créole ' which was served with rice & peas and homemade coleslaw. We washed down our meals with these fabulous cocktails rum punch & zombie a must. What a feast we all had! Be prepared the portions are generous. I strongly suggest to visit this amazing place with your loved ones. I am certain that you won't not regret visiting this restaurant.

The ambiance is very welcoming and you can tell making customers happy is 100% a priority. The food!!! WOW 🤩 absolutely filed with enticing flavours I have never had! Haitian food have won my heart ❤️ West london is fortunate to have this place but even though its 2 hours away from my home, it’s WORTH the drive,train ride, and even a Santander bike ride 😂 and if I do have the kids , they will know where to feel home because my fiancé feels home every birthday 🇭🇹

Wow what can I say the food was worth the wait we came to dine this evening 19/11/22 The food was 10/10… it wascooked with Love! We had a platter served over our two tables! Celebrating my uncles birthday! Compliments to the cook and also the waitresses where so lovely and friendly! Curry goat - soft and nice Rice and peas was so lovely Jerk chicken wow wow wow Plantain fried with love Only thing missing was salad and coleslaw and a bit of Mac and cheese would of topped it … I can’t wait to come back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ The music was a tad loud but created such a lovely Caribbean atmosphere! Saw this restaurant being reviewed on IG and I was curious about Haitian food, being a fellow Islander 🇯🇲😊. Took my Haitian friend who was visiting London and it was so worth the journey. everything we ordered tastes freshly seasoned and prepared. Juicy Jerk wings😋, potent cocktails👌🏽👌🏽. Had to leave earlier as they had been pre-booked for a Birthday party, would have loved to stayed longer so I'll definitely go back again.

Absolutely recommend! Ended up here because the pub down the road said the kitchen was closed and I am so glad it was… the prawns and the sauce they came in were delicious, the staff listened to my intolerance to peppers and made sure my meal was made fresh. My partner had the goat curry and also thoroughly enjoyed it! Amazing service and great ambiance, merci :D

Listen I cook in real life and is very particular about my food this is literally the best Haitian food I have ever had. I live in South Florida surrounded by Haitian cuisine and it’s nothing like this… I will literally fly to just come here and the hospitality is unmatched and make you feel like family!!!! 10+ stars!!! TRUST ME I KNOW GOOD FOOD AND THIS IS IT!

This is very poor service we waited 2hours 30 minutes they kept making mistakes the receipt had things we didn’t order make sure check the receipt before paying . the food did not taste well the people were rude . Service cost was 21.60 how ? The manager was very rude and yet we did not get a sorry about the food being late or the taste Of the fish was not good , we didn’t even receive one of the foods. More to say but I won’t . Deeply don’t recommend

Went for food and cocktails. The tapas gave a great overview of everything on the menu - our favourites were the curry goat, the ribs, and for the sides the corn on the cob and sweet potato fries. Also ordered the chef's pork however this was a little salty for me. The mushroom rice was also very good. Cocktails wise they were sweet, easy to drink but still very tasty. We also had the carrot cake and chocolate fudge cake for dessert - these were good but nothing special in comparison to the authentic carribean food!

Love love love it here. I don’t know how I’ve been missing out for so long. Highlights for me are the curry goat and sea bass. I even ordered the curry goat in bulk for a small get together and it was a hit! The service is amazing too.

This was my second time in the restaurant and I love it. The size of the place don't matter, it's cozy and you can be more intimate with friends. The restaurant is owned by a Haitian, he cooks his own traditional food as well as other island. I had chicken wings and jerk chicken meal with rice n peas. The portions are huge so you're guaranteed getting full and sometimes forced to take it home. The meats are slow cooked so it's very tender and it'll fall off the bone easily. The drinks are amazing, they have variety of rum from different Caribbean islands, including Rivers from Grenada, which is rare. If you want a quiet day in, go in from Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday night is where it's really packed so I highly recommend you book your table before going in. I will no doubt go again and try out other meals.
