Grill Boys in Birmingham

The standards of this place have gone down considerably over the last year or so. The service is terrible. Staff look like they don't like their jobs and look miserable. We have been to this restaurant a few times. Tried different dishes . Some were tasty and some were bland and lack flavour. We ordered the tawa on a few occasions and each time it just gets smaller in portion. You get 1 Sheesh kebab cut in half you get 1 masala fish pokara and 1 roti. This is ment to be a platter for 2 to 3 people. The rest is filled with chicken. But of rice and chips. Proper ripp off for £30. There are better restaurants nearby so I would not recommend coming here. I don't normally leave negative reviews but this one deserves it. The owner is a nice guy but that's about it.

Went here to celebrate anniversary. I wasn't impressed with the lack of customer service when we arrived. The waiter busy on his mobile. The woman there was sweeping up right by our table then left it there which I found quite alarming. The poppadoms were stale. The shish tasted like the frozen one's you can buy. The chicken balti was a boned one which I couldn't eat due to having braces it didn't state it was boned on menu as wouldn't of ordered it. To make matters worse the lamb curry had a white beard hair in which good job I saw before I put it in my mouth. You should never find any hair in your food. I learnt that on food and hygiene course. It means very poor hygiene standards. Thanks for ruining my anniversary. Avoid this place and go to Big Johns instead!!!

We ordered the tawa which took over an hour and we got the food the curry’s were just bones. No lamb curry was added and it was just covered with chicken. The rest of the food was very bland. Will not be coming here again.

We visited here last night on the recommendation of someone and I have to say, amazing food Masha’Allah. Flavours, quality, portion size, service…all brilliant. The staff had a really warm and welcoming nature. 1000% plan to go again Insha’Allah.

Large tawa wasn't hot, tasty or flavourful. Should've known to walk out when we seen it was empty! Our mistake. Plenty of better places to try for tawa style food.

It was by far the best Pakistani I ever had in UK. Everything was fresh, taste was absolutely spot on. Amazing service. I am not one of those to put a review for the sake of it. It is one of the most honest feedback ever. I wish them a great future ahead. Hope to see a branch in London soon.
