Not the best Sunday lunch experience. Not helped by cold plates for both the soup and the carvery course. They were generous with the meat but a poor selection of vegetables.

This is a part of the Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield so it has the general corporate feel of this hotel chain. To really enjoy the grill, get there for the evening meal so you get a sense of tranquility away from the motorway. It is definitely better than the services atmosphere you get on the M1 and other motorways. The furniture is low sofa type dare I say faux leather but comfy enough to enjoy a cup of tea but you can also sit at table for a proper meal of medium rare steak.

Went on a meerkat 2 for 1 we got classic burger and half rack of ribs for main with s side portion of onion rings. The food was lovely on the mains we did ask them to do the onion rings slightly longer but we like them crispy. The only complaint was by my niece that there was only a small amount of chips but we got one meal free so didn’t complain. I had ribs and they fell off the bone and my niece had burger said was really nice. We then both had Eton mess for pudding was really nice different to how I’ve had it before but very tasty.

Poor quality of food for the price paid, watery curry and dry chicken, the best part of the meal being the rice and the mango chuckney. Would not recomend.

2 Dodge Holme Dr MixendenAfter reading reviews I weren't looking forward too it. But I'm blown away it's absolutely banging. Got the salt and pepper box, spare ribs, noodles and salt and pepper King prawns and I can not fault a thing. Kids are loving it ranging from 3 to 14yrs of age. Lovely food. Spot on 👌 in my element right now. Thankyou

Mereside CentreGreat Evening Event entertainment Space: This event place to hire overlooking the lake at Shibden Park is a hidden gem. Hired the venue and the catering supplied by Coffee culture in the park for a 60th Birthday event for 120 people in an evening and I couldn't fault the service or experience. Holly the manager helped us plan the evening and catering and she was so helpful with food choices and liaising with things like flowers and entertainers we had booked. On the evening of the event it was all nicely presented the staff were amazingly helpful and worked hard and the the food was absolutely amazing. We had so much nice feedback from our guests about the food which was fantastic. I could definitely recommend this venue in Shibden for an evening event - its a hidden gem and in an evening the park is beautifully tranquil - the food was outstanding and the staff worked hard to make our celebrations a success.
