Grey Owl in Dumfries & Galloway

My friend and I enjoyed a few cocktails this afternoon at the Grey Owl. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed table service. I didn’t catch the bartender’s name but he was friendly and professional and the cocktails were delicious; French Martinis and Cosmopolitans. Looking forward to our next Visit 😋.

Have recently been here but only gor drinks. Had a lovely pino colada ....but the taste was soured by the price £9.50 ...that's expensive and wasn't even in a larger glass either. Such a shame as its a nicely decorated place in a great location. Keeping g prices this high may cause problems,

This one to avoid. Totally unprofessional attitude in all respects. They allow you to sit down and order a drink. then minutes later call time. The staff are totally unprofessional and do not have a warm welcome. According to their web site hours of business are 11 am till 10 30 pm Tursdays yet on this occasion the they turned people away and refused to serve them and decided to call time at 9 30. Using the excuse there were not enough people to serve. When questioned about this the management were not interested and were very arrogant. In other words their customer service is none existent. Also watch ou for the service charge that is not made clear. There over all attitude is terrible. Will not return.

Love this place. Beautiful decor, staff always very friendly and professional. Never eaten here, didn’t know they did food but the drinks are excellent. People complain it’s overpriced, but the decor is simply beautiful, a cut above the rest; and with pleasant staff and good drinks what’s not to like.

No atmosphere, was charged tip for no service really. The place was empty the very expensive wine was brought over in a carafe. When we asked for the bill were made to feel very uncomfortable as a service £2 added not really an option to say anything, waitress very pushy. I really don’t mind if deserved but not in this case in our opinion.

Absolutely disgusted tonight with the manager of this bar how he spoke to the female members of the staff, shouted at them behind the bar and the place was busy, upset the female bar staff to the point I actuated if they were ok as I could see they were very upset, he then went and kicked a bin behind the bar which made these members of staff jump , absolutely shocking behavior and extremely unprofessional , he was also very rude to customers aswell , if this is how they treat their staff I won’t be going back there absolutely disgusting behavior I hope those female members of staff are ok they deserve to get a better job as can tell they are not being treated correctly at that bar
