Gretna Chase Hotel in Carlisle

Travelling back home to east coast of Scotland after flying into Manchester airport. Stopped at Gretna for an overnight stay. Chase hotel was recommended for an evening meal. We are glad it was. Great, friendly atmosphere. I had the special curry and it was fantastic. The staff member that looked after us was Preet, she was friendly, professional and just added to our evening. Can’t recommend the Chase enough. Fantastic meal venue and a true added value to the many visitors to the outlet stores.

A great hotel. It was our second time staying here, it's a perfect peaceful spot to rest on a long journey. We had a Superior Double Room, which was very spacious, nicely decorated, well fitted out and clean. Rooms can often feel 'tired' in some hotels, this one certainly didn't. The smart TV with good streaming apps (to sign in to) is a great bonus. The bed is very comfy, we slept really well. Despite being near the road it was quiet. Breakfast was well cooked using good quality ingredients. The staff were friendly and helpful, the price was reasonable. We very much look forward to staying here again.

We got married on 28th of December, 2024, and everything was perfect from the start to finish. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was amazing! We were able to play our music and had a little party in the bar area. We would recommend this venue to anyone wishing to get married in Gretna. Maja and David 😀

We had our wedding at anvil Hall and stayed here for 2 nights. Staff were friendly and helpful the Adam and eve bridal suite was lovely. The food was amazing 5 star. The only complaint we had was the water wasn't hot we spoke to the reception who assured us it would be working before our wedding unfortunately it wasn't ready we came back after our wedding and the water was hardly warm enoigh for a shower but can't fault the hotel apart from that

Had our wedding reception here after getting married at Anvil hall. They made it perfect so beautiful such a warm welcome, amazing food. Beautiful rooms 10/10 for everything.

The hotel has seen better days. Comfortable enough though, food was good and staff friendly.

We stayed here for one night with family, having two rooms. Both rooms were lovely and had character. We ate in the restaurant, the food was okay, but it did lack atmosphere and with only one waiter it could take a while to order something. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and nice food. We would stay again, but would look to eat elsewhere for an evening meal.

Had a great overnight stay here the room was good the bar had a good selection of drinks and the atmosphere and food were excellent. Buffet breakfast but there was plenty of choice for both continental and cooked breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly

Stopped for a lunch for 4. Tasty food, well presented. Slightly over priced, but the friendly service makes up for it.

Absolutely fantastic place... It was a pleasure to stay at and the rooms were well above our expectations. We will pop back for our wedding anniversary one day!

We absolutely loved our stay here for our wedding. We stayed in the gorgeous bridal suite. Food was great, absolutely no complaints at all. Staff were amazing throughout our wedding stay & so helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend!
