Please explain this to whoever was serving on the counter in Glossop yesterday lunch time. He asked me to pay extra for a bottle of water. when the egg sandwich I bought was on a shelf clearly labled as part of a sandwich deal "What is included in Greggs sandwich deal? Sandwich deal includes any selected cold sandwich and any cold drink or any regular hot drink. Speciality hot drink upgrade is from 50p extra and upgrade to a large hot drink is from 50p extra. Excludes soup"

Just dont ask for pasty barm cake or a buttered barm cake with a stone cold pasty as they will not sell a pasty barm or a barm cake to go with 1 of there very cold pasties Head office aware !

I retired from work in central Manchester just over 3 years ago and was unaware that Greggs had stopped serving their excellent meat and potato pasties around that time. I called in to the Glossop branch today today and ordered said pasty (which I would have thought was possibly their most popular item ever) and was stunned when the assistant gave me the sad news. She recommended the new meat & veg pasty as an alternative - a bit pricey at £1.85 but I decided to give it a go. What a mistake - it was so bland, no discernible taste at all, I think someone forgot the seasoning, but it got worse; the pastry initially seemed good, very crispy on the outside, but inside it was doughy and actually tasted raw. Also, the peas in the pasty were surprisingly crunchy, something I normally like, but not in a pasty thank you. I suspect it was cooked at too high a temperature/not long enough. After many many years of enjoying Greggs excellent M&P pasties (and also pies in years gone by) I'm afraid I won't be bothering them again. They should have stuck to what they're good at instead of worrying about their (unwarranted) "unhealthy" public image.

The Manager always lets the place down he’s always too busy faffing about to serve and whenever he’s on nothings ready the rest of the staff are awesome and days when the manager isn’t in the place always runs like clock work

I keep trying to go thinking it’s going to improve and it doesn’t, the foods the standard across the country is what it is. But the shops constantly understaffed or so it would seem until someone pops out from the back, always running out of products I’ve walked out due to lack of products more than I’ve been able to get. Told 10 minute wait today then it’s 20 no apology no nothing. It’s a joke.

I remember Greggs years ago, before I left to live in NZ. It was pretty bland and they always added too much talk in everything. On my visit back to UK I popped in for some lunch and WOW, food tasted great, prices are excellent, staff were brilliant. Actually visited here a few more times and couldn't fault them at all. Well done.

On a visit to Glossop my friend & I picked up a lunchtime bite from here. She had a ham, egg & salad sub & I a tuna n cucumber sandwich. They were delicious - fresh, tasty & packed with generous fillings. We also had a pack of the best jam donuts I have eaten in ages! Filled to bursting with raspberry jam - fabulous!

Greggs have got their selection of food and drink just about right although I do miss the pies! We enjoy a lot of awaydays and if we know there is a Greggs in town then we don't need to take sandwiches.

This is the forth time visited. Greggs are famous for pasties. And again today, it's not good. Yep bloody cold at lunch time. Can you at least buy them a microwave. Was much better years ago on the top of the high street. And please don't ask me to pay more for cold food if I sit in

It was ok. But for the price I was expecting more. Small portions, and just expensive for what we got. Fish was fairly fresh, and the chips wasn’t bad

food cold.... seen on map that delivery driver stop off in McDonald's area.... then drove away from my area makes me think that he stop off somewhere else before me. I don't pay for food to reheat in my own microwave. Sort it out!!

I’m visiting the area and decided to treat myself to a chippy tea. I looked on the price list and saw that chilli and chips were on offer at £3.95! I thought “I’m having some of that”. At my local chippy it’s more than double the price. It took a while to cook because it wasn’t a usual item which people were ordering. It was a Friday so it was quite busy and a heck of a lot of fish were being freshly cooked. The owner and the lady helping him were really busy but they still had the ability to talk to me whilst putting my order together. I explained that I was just visiting the area and asked where I could find certain places. They were both more than helpful. Got my tea home and it was DELICIOUS! Thank you for a tasty tea. I cannot believe the prices you are charging, definitely good value for money.
