We've just been to the Greggs at Marygate and we were served by the most lovely, welcoming and experienced staff ever, Anne went far and beyond what could ever have anticipated and we will certainly be back again and again. Cheers for great time at Greggs ❤️

Good to see a Greggs on the High Street. It was mid-afternoon and we'd been looking for a tea-break cafe. Instead we bought a cake each from Greggs and took it back to our holiday flat to make a cuppa to go with it.

Staff was awesome as usual, polite and helpful. Sharon the manager is an asset to Greggs. She never stops if not serving cleaning tables or stocking shelves The food is always fresh and hot and the coffee is really nice .

We hope that we visited on a bad day but we ordered two bacon baps , they were neither uncooked, cooked or overcooked ..the bacon was dehydrated/cremated ..they were dreadful. Normally we would complain straight away but the shop was full of early morning customers and we did not want to embarrass the staff at a busy time. If you order Bacon Baps from this shop, make sure that the bacon is of an edible state.

I am sometimes a bit "sniffy" about Greggs which I need to stop, as when i do occasionally visit the food is reliably good; The cheese and bacon puff thingys are very tasty and no one does posh donuts at a low price, as well as Greggs do.

Lovely young man served me and my partner on Monday 13th sept. We asked for the wrong cookie which was our mistake and rather than changing it he gave us another cookie on the house. Very friendly and good customer service. Thank you.

As two people who needed to house hunt in the middle of lockdown, we needed to stay in hotels and had limited choice for meals. So we got used to trying different takeaways for meals and Greggs became a bit of a favourite. Their bacon and sausage baguettes with extra sausage are good and they are excellent value. We've tried to ones in Penrith, Berwick and Pitlochry and all are good. You can even pre-order if you are in a rush.

Bang in the middle of town with usual pastries, drinks and impeccable customer service. What can I say a reliable stop driving up and down the A1.

It's Greggs - it does what Greggs does, but as I popped in for the nth time, it occurred to me, I keep coming back because staff are super friendly and helpful at this branch, with a quick moving queue. I would really like to see a non dairy option on the (very good roast) coffee but the vegan and vegetarian bakes are tasty and I appreciate the discount on their coffee for bringing my own reusable cup.

Stake Bake's are just excellent. You can eat in if you want to in the area provided. Only issue I would have is if your Stake Bake is just out of the oven you have to be careful because of the gravy.

We had a corned beef slice and a beef one at 2.15pm. Both were warm and we had them in individual bags to take away. There was seating inside Greggs and a few tables outside too under an awning. It had been raining so we didn't sit outside but just shielded ourselves under the awning from the rain.Greggs is a cheap and cheerful option so I wasn't over surprised that my corned beef slice was mainly potato with only a sniff of corned beef. You get what you pay for and it was soft and tasty and not worth a complaint. It filled a little space.

Was in at Greggs in Berwick today and very busy but staff were fast, friendly and helpful. I was curious of Vegan sausage roll but unsure, the assistant - Hollie said to try it on Greggs! It was lovely so bought 2 to take away along with some other goodies. Recommend this Greggs and the Vegan sausage roll

Came in one morning around 11 o clock it wasn’t busy so that was good cause all I can assume it can get really busy, the manger..wow, pretty sure her name is Sharon.. anyway she was extremely rude towards members of her following staff... and when she came to serve me she had an awful attitude like she didn’t want to be serving any customers, wasn’t too nice at all, as soon as she give me my change back she left to go upstairs without even saying thank you or bye to me. Very very rude!! Greggs severely needs a new manger!!

You know what to expect and what you are getting here - fresh sandwiches, baguettes, pastries, pies and so on. I have visited this branch many times and have always left with very freshly made tasty baguettes or sandwiches. This time I also had a take away coffee which was good. Prices are excellent. It is a great place for a 'cheap and cheerful' lunch.

I am a great fan of Greggs and have often been to the branch in Berwick. Staff are very friendly and the place sells good quality, basic, casual take-away food. The sandwiches and baguettes are always deliciously fresh. Coffee is good too and prices very reasonable indeed.

You can’t really argue with this place for a quick budget lunch. Good pastries, sandwiches and bits and bobs. All with a nice cup of tea. And you can seat down and relax and enjoy. Just what we needed after a hot day’s walking.

This is a very busy place to stop during your journey Nort/South on the A1 there are several places to purchase food and drink but the Greggs reputation for good food at a reasonable price is still good although they do hype their prices a little above the usual high street prices, this a shop not a cafe.

What a welcoming, hospitable place. If you ever need cheering up, this is the place to go. We were made welcome immediately, and tony the owner had us in stiches from the start. Everyone there were so friendly, and what had started as an intended short visit, led to us staying to closing. Met some brilliant characters, who all just made our day. Dog friendly too, which was an added bonus to us. Can't recommend enough.

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.

We visited Hexham yesterday and found this café in the Market Place, after a lovely River Tyne walk. It was quite busy at 1pm but we didn't have to wait long for our table. The girls made us feel very welcome and worked so hard while we were there clearing tables and getting everyone seated as soon as possible. My husband had a bacon sarnie and I had a ham and mushroom omelette which was so light and fluffy, delicious. Coffees were great too. Plenty of choice on the menu and great prices. Doggy friendly too with a treat for pooch 🐾

As one of a group of cyclists from Newcastle Great Park, it’s always a good stop off before the final stretch back home. Butties and a drink 👍, along with friendly service. Courtyard round the back is great when the weather allows.
