Greggs in Glasgow City

I went into Gregg's whilst waiting on our bus.....the place is disgusting,pigeons flying around the place eating off the tables and the floor...how is this allowed,I found it disgusting I couldn't even eat my food Tables not even being wiped down after people finished eating so the pigeons on them straight away for any scraps..IL definitely never be back in it unless they give the place a good sanitiser and get rid of the pigeons eating there to .....

Whilst waiting in coffee I nipped in to use the rest room OMG the stench was absolutely disgusting to the extent that it took my breath away I felt physically sick so I approached a member of staff and stated my disbelief that there staff room was adjacent to the rest room entrance therefore they would have to walk out past to go into restaurant there were pigeons ratting of the floor and tables the staff didn't make any effort to do anything about it. I won't be returning the cleanliness was absolutely disgraceful. 🤮

Visited here while at bus station what a disgusting place. Pigeons flying about indoors, walking on tables etc. This should not be happening in a place seving food. This business needs to take this issue seriously.

This review covers Greggs in many towns in the UK - not just Glasgow. In each one (six, I think, during our three-week tour) the high quality was maintained, in particular the sausage rolls were the best I have eaten anywhere. Service was good too - though the chain is so popular that queues often formed. With prices of restaurants - it's now difficult for two people to eat for less than 30/40 pounds, Greggs was something of a lifesaver.

After yesterday this is the only thing that brought us back to life. Seriously hungover adn the steak bake and sausage roll hit the spot.

Travelled from NI on day trip. Worst food experience ever, pls avoid sitting indoors place needs inspected by environmental health!!!! Ordered pizza slice and tea, cold pizza asked for it to be reheated unable to do so. Gave me pepperoni as told it’s warmer . Messed up food order gave me latte and tea offered free pastry to amend. Sat at table to eat , and pigeon nearly took my head off . 🐦🐦🐦 Food freezing, and disgusting , area had pigeons eating off the tables and around the floor. Toilets unclean and area smelt disgusting. Has put me off eating at any Greggs restaurants. 🤮🤮🤮 Are staff not aware that birds carry germs have local people not reported this to environmental health ?????

This is an ideal place to buy yourself a snack/sandwich, but please, do not be tempted to eat inside the place itself. Dirty tables which are not cleaned between customers and pigeons roaming around the floor and flying, unchecked between tables despite people sitting at them. Not a nice experience! Avoid.

I had a free savoury & a free pastry. I ordered a coffee and my 2 free choices, was charged for Coffee and savoury I only got pastry free (the cheapest) was advised it had gone through and would just need to use my savoury free gift next time

Very nice staff, pleasant and happy to serve. Good for a reasonable priced snack and drink. Sausage rolls are tasty and filling.

Worst Greggs ever to many pigeons to many dirty tables not very clean not very hiagenic it’s an absolute disgrace and an absolute bad joke staff really need to get a grip and clean environmental health should close this place down

The toilets in this facility were an absolute disgrace no hand soap no toilet paper hand dryer not working sanitary bin overflowing the place was filthy shame on you greggs

Worst ever , urine on the floor of gents toilet, mess in the pan and woman feeding birds in the restaurant.

I am completely devastated with my visit to this greggs please do not come here. I had to wait in line for over 2 hours, but i can’t blame them for having lots of business it was the rats on the floor that I will blame them for 😡 I saw two scurry past my feet and went to complain immediately but the woman serving me said “ go away before I put rat fur in your food” I then asked for the manager and was denied of that so I decided to leave and warn other costumers. On my way out a sausage roll came flying at the back of my head! I am so utterly disappointed with this experience. This greggs needs to be shut down completely. The last straw was outside there was four mashed up sausage rolls on the floor. THIS IS NOT OKAY.

On my visit I was disgusted with the pigeon problem they were on table pecking leftovers n round my feet love the food but this isn't hygienic in any sense n must be against the health standards.

Every time I’m here ( once a month) I have breakfast before I go on the mega bus , Can’t beat this for value - breakfast deal £2:50. I always have a bacon roll and a latte. Always hot and freshly made .well done Greggs . My only gripe is toilets are locked and you have to wait for a member of staff to key in a number for you to get in ….. which is precious time wasted when you’re waiting for a bus!

I'g give it zero if possible. Coffee was awful. Lying too long on hot plate maybe? Or machine badly in need of cleaning out. Undrinkable. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

I would have given this vegan sausage roll a '5' star rating but the salt is just too much for my liking, my girls think its ot too much of a salty taste and it stays in your mouth. As a country we're supposed to be reducing our salt intake, so why cant Greggs listen to the governments advice on salt reduction in foods. So, if you're reading this Greggs...sort it out mate?!

I had a fly in my sausage roll disgusting 4 pack sausage rolls in bin staff friendly but wouldn't use again my granddaughter almost ate it just saw it in time

I was staying at a nearby hotel and came here every other day for 2 weeks to get breakfast or lunch. The cheese and onion bakes, croissants and pains au chocolat are so good. The steak bakes are good too. I wanted to try their scones and donuts but ran out of time. I miss this bakery. The cost was under 2 pounds per item. Staff was nice.

Needed a coffee and cake before the bus journey home. no frills, just good coffee ,and something nice to eat. The only downside was that there were a couple of pigeons strutting around feeding on crumbs from tables. Nobody made any effort to remove them, which is pretty poor

Went to greggs expecting some top quality pastry. Little to my knowledge, there was NO chicken or stake bakes which simply is awful. Whole reason i went was for 2 steak bakes and 2 chicken bakes because i’m fat , had to go to flipping subway for my lunch when i wanted a greggs. Shambles…

I was in earlier this morning, despite repeating myself on every thing I said if this was not bad enough I was also overcharged £5!! When pointed out there was no apology. Just miserable unhelpful Individual . Yes we are worried about current affairs, however this does not excuse ignorance!!!

This greggs is spotlessly clean and the staff very nice and friendly. we had meal deal the roll was fresh and very tasty and as usual in Greggs it was such good value.

In my opinion, Greggs is always a reliable outlet for sandwiches and coffee at very reasonable price. this branch is busy but did not disappoint. Cheese roll was fresh and well filled. i would return here.

My favourite for many years is the Chicken Pastry filled with succulent creamy breast in a great white sauce - the steak slice is not for behind it !!

Never more than 100 yards from Greggs at any given point in Glasgow. This one is particularly average as are they all. Simple and reliable, just like the customers. We were happy with our purchase. Will visit again.

Quick lunch while visiting the city, stopped in for a Cheddar Cheese Sandwich on a Baguette. Each sandwich was £2.55. Rigjt off of George Square is a nice spot to eat. Fresh bread, tasty cheese and great quick service.

A good cafe for a quick bite and hot drink before a bus journey. The Sausage Roll was tasty and service efficiently quick. During the breakfast period, the tables needed a faster turnover. Most tables were not cleaned.

We visited here for lunch with our granddaughter for lunch when we were looking for the Oor Willies around Glasgow. Good pleasant good and great service for heating items. Staff were very helpful. Good tables and seating. Would certainly return again.

If you are from the states, the Bridie meat pie tastes like a Krystal Burger or White Castle if from the north. Steak bake equally great. It’s a cheap, good, quick meal. There are Gregg’s all over the place.

All disposable cups, no plates just paper bags. Nasty coffee, no salt and pepper, no egg rolls,’stale doughnut. Really, in the 21st century, throw away cups etc? The cafe it has replaced was a good, basic wee cafe with real plates!

Reopened after a refurbishment late last year but still a typical Greggs you would find anywhere. Situated close to both underground and Queens street my only criticism is it gets very busy but suppose that speaks volumes for it.
