Honestly love a Greggs, breakfast, lunch or dinner, the staff member by the name of Linda is the best member of staff I have ever met, so kind and patient and very knowledgeable of their business and products. She deserves a pay rise if you see this store owner.

Food poisoning... Thanks Greggs Colchester Culver Square. Only eaten a sausage roll and cheese and bacon wrap today which I purchased from there a couple of hours ago. Was complerely fine until i ate. Now suffering from food poisoning. Will be reporting to the authorities because something obviously isn't right either with the food your serving or hygiene.

i got charged £15.95 for something that shouldve cost £5.25?? i didnt even get my money back and i dont understand u can make that much of a mistake.

Food and drink OK service OK need more staff at busy times or perhaps a till for the takeaways. No parking as in middle of town.

I'm finding as more and more gregg's appear the quailty seems to drop and the cost seems to increase. Food can often be near enough cold, and just doesn't feel like great value for money anymore.

I always have my favourite chicken bake and chips in Gregg and never complaint about it. But this is my second time in this particular branch I was served Cold chicken bake. It’s my favourite food so usually I don’t like to complaint but it was too much for me I couldn’t even finish it this time. The white chicken gravy inside Pattie was absolutely cold. So upsetting when I was eating it in my car but I will definitely come back. And my suggestion is to please fix the heated display cabinet. Cheerio!! Love Chicken Bake!

My family didnt eat there, but we went in to have something to eat. We first went to the Toilet which had chewed gum on the seat and didn'tflush properly, an unknown substance on the floor and in another toilet roll all over the floor. Next we tried to find a clean table. Floors were filthy, and tables hadn't been cleaned, even saw a part of a flapjack like food just lying on the floor. After that we opted not to eat there due to hygeine concerns. Wouldn't eat there considering.

What have they done? This was a long but spacious High Street bakery oozing with character, with loads of tables and two entrances joining prime locations. We loved coming here whenever visiting Colchester. They've since closed this place and moved to a plain location opposite their back entrance. They say it's bigger, but I'm not so sure. It's definitely lost the vibe.

Shannon and Kim deserve a big shout out after having an absolute nightmare with a large delivery ordered through Just Eat (useless company) they both went above and beyond customer service was 100% thank you both. Hopefully your company will recognise your professionalism.

I bought a tuna sandwich today which is my favourite from greggs,But I was very disappointed 😞 as whoever made the sandwich had cut the cucumber too thick

this place is absolutely disgusting, i suffer with adhd and autism and i’m abit loud , karen , the of an employee told me to shut up and got out coz i didn’t pay for sitting. she then proceeded to punch my friends chair we said we are young and she said that doesn’t mean anything and proceeded to shout at us with an angry and scary tone as we are quite young it was quite startling this women is vile and needs to be sacked

visited the NEW Greggs store. which is OPPOSITE the old store. it is very CLEAN. service was excellent 👌 and staff are helpful 👍 a good improvement on the old one.

The New Greggs Cafe on the edge of Culver Square Colchester, feels bright and airy. The tables and floor were very clean not a crumb in sight. The staff were friendly and welcoming. If I could give more stars I would. It’s definitely worth a visit !

We "ate in" at Gregg's but it's gone very down hill. 4 of us had sausage roll/pastie each and a cake.. total of 8 paper bags and 2 reusable hot drink cups. What happened to plates and cups?? Complete waste of paper bags. Coffee was aweful too

Went in for a tuna crunch yesterday and were none at high street end only a few chicken mayo so went down the other end and nothing at all 😿

Staff look miserable tables are left with discarded cups wrappings etc . If they are busy at the counter customers have to queue outside the door which is okay in the sun but not when it's raining.Colchester really needs a revamp it looks shabby.

Doors were kept wide open at one end and even though sitting well away from them I was assailed by a constant draft. Staff looked bored and the food was overcooked and portion size in sandwiches much skimpier than I am used to from Gregg's. Very disappointed.

Food and till service fine but restaurant was filthy! Absolutely disgusting condition, with most tables covered in waste and food/spillages. No cleaning regime in process was very obvious. My request to speak with the branch manager was ignored, and the staff looked disgruntled at having to respond to my complaint. The restaurant floor was littered with food and rubbish. Quite shocking given the brand. I will never eat their again and will encourage others to avoid given the poor food hygiene.

I wish if there was an option of giving this place half star or a zero i work near there so normally i grab a snack from there today i got a staff member screaming me at the cashier saying YOU ALWAY SIT IN SO I AM CHARGING SEATING IN i was in a shock embarrassed as there was people around me I payed and lett Never recommend or going back there

Just one positive note, loads of space to sit. Most likely because the place was dirty with tables not cleaned and staff would just walk past and are not bothered about wiping them clean. Actually the staff are not interested in customers and would prefer to talk to each other instead. Think I would prefer to pay a little bit more for a sandwich and a coffee then eat and drink at Greggs again.

Place was filthy. Worker spilt drinks next to our table whilst he was clearing up and it went over our bags.

Excellent food was hot and staff were polite

Disgusting cold chicken slice. Nasty. Cafe was boiling too, noisy and rude people in it, went for a refund and cashier was grumpy. Like it was an insult to her? Finally got a refund, but not the full amount. Was close to tears so just left and went somewhere else. Never again.

Average for a Gregg's. Lots of seating for a change, but a bit crafty. Coffee cheap though so mustn't grumble.

Oh my gosh. This place was awful. The food was cold the staff were grumpy and the place was just a mess. I visited on new years eve for a quick snack with the kids. The first member of staff literally just grunted at us, some of the staff were happy and doing their best but tge few others just bought the place down. The food was cold I had a festive slice and kids had pizza slices buy it was just pants. Sorry Greg's but won't be back again.

Just had the BEST just eat delivery from this Greggs branch… piping hot, tasty food, order accuracy was outstanding. Food’s always great whether it’s a quick sandwich on your lunch break or a coffee and bacon roll in the morning! Also can we talk about their sausage rolls.. 🤤 Staff are really warm and friendly as well.

I’m a victim off the pasty con artist. I bought a steak bake which is £1.65 but I was Charged £2.00 this is a serious issue which I will take to court.I’m genuinely disgusted in the lack of knowledge from the workers they appear to have the same IQ as a vegan sausage roll and how they fullblown audacity to ask me how much a steak bake costs this is unprofessional she should be aware of the costs and she should check instead of guessing the price and nicking money from innocent customers.im genuinely hurt from this experience.I’m genuinely disgusted in the lack of knowledge from the workers no wonder they’re 40 and are working in greggs. .I could’ve bought a snack box with the money which is a much better value then that dead steak bake .how pathetic is that!!’ I’m genuinely hurt from this experience.The greggs workers who robbed me appeared about 40+ and had brown hair.im not trying to be funny but her breath had a kick and she should do overtime and invest in buying intense dental care. It's a big Gregg's and straddles the high street and another road in Colchester. There are all of the things that you would expect at really reasonable prices. I think we fed ourselves and our 3 kids for under £15. The size of this Gregg's means there is loads of seating and we managed to find seats for 8 of us on a Saturday lunchtime. As it is so long there is a counter at each end so if what you want is missing at one end try the other.

Gregg's reputation is great. Doesn't matter if you're in Leeds or Leicester its exactly the same standard.

Really disappointed with this store, usually have a lovely experience however, yesterday me and my friends ordered our food and asked to eat in when the cashier asked us if we would like to eat in or take away. We then walked into the seating area and sat down, only to be shouted at a few minutes later by a member of staff for allegedly asking to take out. There had obviously been a miscommunication and I understand that maybe the cashier has misheard us but the woman made a spectacle of us by yelling at us in the middle of the seating area and throwing us out before we got a chance to explain that we were under the impression we had asked to eat in. It was very embrassing and ultimately I am really upset by how me and my friends were treated. We will not be coming back.

Just wanted to make a complaint about different customers. Today, someone was literally behind me in my personal circumference, the person was very tanned, female and plumped in shape.

Not much on the shelves, and could be alot vleaner and tidier for the size of the shop.

Greggs, is okay with friendly staff Most of the food is very unhealthy and since they've become purely takeaway and no longer sell bakery, I don't tend to go in as much as I use to.

Me and my partner went into Colchester Xmas shopping and thought treat ourselves to vegan sausage rolls, they only had 1 bag of 4 so purchased those so we thought and went to the car and drove home. Not until we got home and took a bite realised the shop assistant had given us pork sausage rolls. These people seriously need to look at what they pick up if the pork sausage rolls are next to the vegan ones.

On today's visit staff were extremely rude and several customers commented on this. Slow service and goods cold.

Good, clean. Quite busy usually, somewhat friendly staff except one lady who was quite rude and told us to go to the other till very bluntly as it was takeaway only at her till. We were unaware of this.

The service is not great, certain staff (not all as some are grest) could do with learning how to talk to customers instead of being very rude and to charge a elderly lady of 78 an extra 40p for the privilege of eating a donut in the warm as shes disabled is disgusting....Greegs you should hang you heads in shame. The place always looks a mess, the tables are never clean and there is never any of the pastries ready when you want them it's always sorry you'll have a 15 min wait. When your running lowish pop some more in it's not rocket science.

I found this outlet to be really grubby and poorly staffed this is unusual for a gregs as all the other establishments have been top notch very dissappointing.

Typical Greggs. Store is large and can get quite crowded when walking through. Stairs on one side of the shop are always blocked by people queuing to pay

Food Hygiene is terrible! Worker was touching the bin and putting things in it when it has a pedal so there's no reason to be touching the bag. Then started sorting food out for the oven and serving customers. Not once did she wash her hands. Sink was blocked by crates of food so not accessible without moving more food out the way. Floor behind the counter is filthy and counter tops / cuboards. Do they ever clean this place? Very cluttered at the back entrance and charged to eat in but given no tray, no plates so what's the extra charge for??

poor service from staff. the fact the "huffed" when taking our order was awful. The way they spoke to me and my colleague was ridiculous.

Most of the staff are friendly, but so busy that they don't always have time to smile, as thinking of the next thing they have to do. But the food is good. Furniture could do with replacing. Cleanliness getting better.
