Cancelled my just eat order after waiting for an hour, giving no reason as to why??? Will never bother with here again, useless

Never had a problem coming here, staff are always nice and very chatty/friendly. The food we grabbed last night was piping hot even still when we got it back after a 10 minute drive home, portion size is a great value for money, I couldn’t even finish all of it myself. Food tastes very fresh and cooked to perfection.

Amazing takeaway yet again!! The amount you get for your money is amazing! Been ordering for over 5 months now and it’s our favourite! The chicken kebab is to die for!! X

Came in for doner and chips customer service was absolutely appalling the taste of the garlic sauce can only be described as funky the chips were dryer than dry and the doner had a horrible texture almost as if it had been left over night the can of coke was probably the best thing about the meal and even that was warm just to mention i had this last month

The most dense pizza I ever had. One large pizza will fill two people, provided they have a big appetite. If ordering more than one pizza, you may need a wheelbarrow to get it out the shop.

First time used for delivery. I can honestly say its now definitely the best kebab house in colchester

Stayed at the premier inn whilst working away, really fancied a kebab and glad I choose Ali’s bbq house. The food arrived hot and fresh and the salad was fresh too. On top of my order they gave me some hot wings for free, great service and if I’m back I will order again.

Brilliant food and service. The food is really tasty and I honestly think they do the best pizza in Colchester.

Absolutely shocking. Dumped the chips in with the meat and created an oily mess. Refused to give us salad with the kebab and had to argue for it. The sloppy, greasy, fat soaked oily mess we got mashed in the tub was horrific, wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. Avoid this place like the plague.

First time we ordered from here, love the fact that the salads and pitta bread were separate from the doner meat, it was so tasty and will defo use again. Delivered early as well. Thank you

The amount of places I have ordered food from around Colchester, I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the food quality and the appalling attitude from the staff at this place, we placed an order in the value of ~£85, we had one missing item from this order and called Ali's BBQ house.... straight away the owner and the staff member we spoke to was rude, argumentative and done nothing but accused me as being a liar.... firstly I am not going to waste my time on a single item for the sake of a £5 value item, if the item had actually arrived, however I'm not going to let a family member that I'm treating a meal too to go unserved.... secondly we ended up with a BBQ wrap that we never asked for or ordered (made this clear to them, and apparently it was on the house), since this is a big order I can understand mistakes can happen, but the staff was arrogant and persistent that they were right.... thirdly the item that eventually was agreed to be sent out was wrong.... As to the quality of the food is was subpar (chips cold, cheesy chips wasn't great - yes the cheese used is terrible, the desserts were soggy or stale as if they've come out of a freezer and quickly defrosted, the calzone wasn't what we expected and was a big disappointment, the only thing that was enjoyed was the hummus and pita bread), we were originally going to order from Mezze Grill but they were unfortunately not open, instead we should have just gone out to Mimosa, rather than chancing a takeaway with an already mid/low rating on this place, completely regret this choice. I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

We have been using Ali's BBQ House quite frequently in the last few months. Normally order via Justeat as it makes things easier. Food is always good and hot when delivered to us in Mersea. I highly recommend Ali's special pizza as you can choose your toppings plus the stuffed crust is a winner. Their kebabs are good quality and we can't fault this place. Highly recommended! Sometimes you have to wait for delivery but the online app tells you an estimated time which is always worth waiting for and considering we are a few miles away we have no problem as the food is that good. Also they have a 5 star rating on the doors. The menu is varied and extensive so we are gladly spoilt for choice. :)

Ordered at 20:05 today, rung after 40 mins. Told it would arrive in 15 mins, kept waiting. Rung again and we’re told we would be called back with an update. Well you get the picture, so after 2 hours we phoned up and cancelled the order and asked for a refund! Why bother taking orders you jokers???

Well what can I say. I called and made an order at 8pm, was told it would be 30-45 min. Phoned them at 8.50pm they said it was on its way, the delivery driver then called and said they had wrong postcode and was in Harwich Road. I then found out it was not even my order. At 9.30pm the restaurant said they would redo my order. Fathers day dinner ruined :-( joke service

Good value, tasty kebabs, just occasionally they forget to include some items.
