Greggs in Gateshead

Quick and easy service. Small but very functional but could do with a bigger car park. First class lunch and loved the coffee.

Good service, good selection, and always handy when at the metro centre. Chocolate and caramel shortbread is definitely worth a try!

I love popping in to get a doughnut! The range of drinks is good.i am the biggest fan of the baguettes.

The cakes are great especially the triple chocolate muffin ( my favourite ). The coffee is decent but it’s slightly dirty.

I live abroad, and when i come back to the UK, and go to the Metrocentre, one of the first stops is always Greggs to get a Chicken Bake! Outstanding! Always fresh and tasty! Please Greggs, open a shop in Dubai!

Called in for a bite to eat. The service was quick and staff friendly. I got a hot chocolate and a bacon roll yum yum enjoyed coming here.

This Greggs is quite small but it’s absolutely delicious. The chocolate muffin is so so good. We will be back.

Great sausage rolls and very fast service. Good puddings and drinks I think it is good for lunch on a rainy day.

Stopped for coffee while shopping. Tried the low calorie chicken wrap, very good. I have since tried the salad from the balanced range which are all low calorie and the taste is superb. The salad is lovely and crisp and fresh. Greggs also do a lovely coffee.

This Greggs always seems to be well stocked and albeit busy they will help you with your order. Canny little outlet.

I must start by saying the food was tasty, however the thought to customer care was not there. Staff were very pleasant but we ordered simply two soups, it was near 3pm when we were in in a half term, but we stood gobsmacked as the staff literally scraped the container if it last dregs to make two barely half full cups of soup, joked about it them charged us full price. Even if combined they would not have filled the cup. They seemed to be more intent on selling the deals that were not clear just what u get not how much they are. Just disappointed

Greggs is always excellent value and really tasty quick food. It is so popular however that the shop needs to be double the size, the queue often goes outside. The hot sandwiches tend to go really quickly and need to be replenished more, such as the southern friend chicken hot baguette which is my favourite. The staff I have encountered have always been friendly. It would be nice to see some of the old favourites return, such as the little trifles with the plastic spoon. Some things are also tending to become more expensive, including the cost of a pasty compared to what it used to be. The bacon sandwiches and hot drinks are certainly great value.

Have recently been introduced to greggs as it has just recently opened in Northern Ireland. Cheap and so tasty their coffee selection is nicer and cheaper than most known coffee shops I love their toasties and there freshly baked jam shortbread

Absolute disgusting attitude from staff member Theresa think her name was I went in and stood in que patiently waiting when I heard the way this staff member was speaking to customers before me "hurry up can not wait till xmas " "there is a que u know we don't have time to wait if you don't know what you want " "you could of counted your change whilst waiting in the que" I decided to take my business else were if this is the way they look after their customers .greggs you may have plenty of shops but if u treat customers with poor service then they will go else were and there are plenty of sandwich shops etc just saying training needed.

We stopped for a quick snack before heading to the cinema, good choice of pasties, sausage rolls, sandwiches, soup and salads available with hot and cold drinks. Good value and pleasant staff.

Estaba tomando un patrimonio caminando por la ciudad del centro de la ciudad y pedí la guía donde podía comprar un pastel o algo para el desayuno. Él recomendó "un favorito local" que fue Greggs a la vuelta de la esquina. Es una tienda pequeña pero tenían toda una variedad de empanadas, rollitos de salchicha, tartas saladas y otros productos horneados. Me encanta un pastie, pero tenía miedo de que podría ser demasiado drippy para comer mientras camina, así que conseguimos un rollo de salchichas. Era tan buena - hojaldres con salchicha baja, dentro. Bien condimentadas. Esto y un lata de Coca-Cola Light eran sólo 1,85 libras, era tan sorprendido que le pregunte a la recepcionista si ella había visto la soda y le sorprende que me sorprendió! Esperaba que pagar unos 4 kilos así que me gustó bastante en el ganga... y el rollo de salchichas verdaderamente delicioso.

What can i say fast super service from the ladies behind the counter. The food fills a quick hunger pang and the standard is always consistent. Love the stotties. Good meal deal fro £3.00 and the cakes well always bril.

Excellent value for money, I usually have the meal deal of a breakfast roll with a hot drink and you cannot go wrong for £2. Other places would charge a lot more for the same! Staff are always friendly.

Very nice quality in food my favorite it a cheese and onion pasty. Well done but could have added more sweets or crisps. I would suggest coming to greggs!

Called for a cuppa and a snack after a morning in the Metro Centre. I had one of their sandwiches & a tea while my daughter had cake & a soft drink. The food was good, tasty and good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly. The cafe was clean & well maintained.Disabled customers are welcome and staff are very helpful toward them but if you are in a wheelchair seating is limited to a couple of tables at the rear. All other seating is raised and you need to tackle a step before getting to the tables.

Greggs used to be known as the best value bakers, if not the healthiest. Today with Greggs prices seemingly going up every few weeks. A cheese & onion pasty is now £1.05 and about half the size it was a year or two ago. There is far better value (and quality ) available elsewhere if you want this kind of snack. I have noticed fewer people shopping there of late, and I do think this will impact on Greggs business over the months to come. Sandwiches have also increased in price significantly, and I know this is happening everywhere, and Greggs have to make a profit, but they have now to consider the competition from other bakers higher up the quality ladder, that in the past would not have been a threat. Bread is still good there and is somewhat better value. I won't dwell on the food, a sausage roll is a sausage roll. Greggs one's aren't the worst. I'm not going to say eat something healthier - sometimes the comfort eating aspect of a greasy pasty or a doughnut are just what's needed. I just think there is much better available for less now.

As you could expect from Greggs the food and coffee are lovely. The staff are very good and the place is done out very nicely. One criticism I would make is that the floor never looks very clean, maybe the carpet would be better replaced with wood or tiles.

Always a favourite for hot pies and pasties but can sometimes be too hot and actually unsafe heat to handle or eat. Recommend their healthier option light bread sandwiches.
