Their vegan sausage rolls are superb! Always have to go when in Windermere which is very often. Shop is convenient to get to and we always manage to park close by.

I went in the afternoon i walked in staff looked like they couldn't be bothered been there. I asked for a beef and vegetable pasty and a pink jammie which I wish I hasn't the pasty wasn't cooked properly and vegetable where still hard and my pink jammie had no jam in. People might think not a big deal but if u pay for the item u expect it to be right I rang the shop which then I got laughed at by the new manager not acceptable at all

Service was slow and staff were too busy gossiping. Not the friendly service I’ve received in many other Greggs. Coffee was also like warm.

Bought sandwiches and cakes - all very fresh. Right in heart of village. Tuna mayo roll was very tasty.

Yet another couple who found it impossible to work for Humphrey Smith. Their initial enthusiasm quickly turned to despondency as long, poorly-paid hours and the policicies of this despotic boss put paid to the career ambitions of two more promising young managers. Such a crying shame, as this is a wonderful pub in a great location. One wonders how the young Sam Smith can bear to watch his father's policies and attitude decimate the Brewery Estate, compromise his inheritance and turn the feudal Tadcaster into a ghost town. Even the flagship brewery tap, The Angel and White Horse, next to the Brewery has long since closed down. A recent, polite telephone enquiry to the Head Office as to the reason for the sudden closure of The Heversham Hotel and the likelihood of its re-opening was swiftly and curtly deflected by 'I'm afraid we cannot comment'. In view of Mr. H. Smith's inability to retain his pub managers, it's very surprising that there is anyone left at The Old Brewery in Tadcaster who is prepared to stay on and brew his otherwise very pleasant and reasonably-priced beers. I wonder how they put up with his tantrums and volatility? It is to be hoped that son, Sam Smith, will reverse such an egregious management style and salvage the reputation of this once very popular and highly-regarded historic Yorkshire Brewery.

stayed at adjacent premier inn and booked the meal deal,we stayed 2 nights. when we went for dinner approximately one third of the meals were unavailable and no draught beers. On second night more than half of meals were unavailable, no draught beers and very few bottled beers.explained they were closing for refurbishment and stocks were run down.i felt sorry for the staff they were embarrassed and it was not there fault. On returning home i contacted whitbred customer service and had a reply saying sorry about that we should have told you hope it did not effect your stay come again in the future!,no offer of compensation ,needless to say i wont be going again
