On a Friday I often treat myself to a bacon and sausage roll. There are a number of options in Hertford and occasionally I got to Greggs. However, on the last three times I have been there, when I'm asked if I'd like any sauce, I always ask for Brown sauce as I don't particularly like tomato sauces. I take it back to the office to eat, and it's then I notice they've used tomato sauce. In the scheme of things it's not a big issue, however it is frustrating that despite asking the question, they don't appear to actually listen to the answer, and robotically reach for the tomato sauce. I will of course check in future, but it would be nice if the person asking the question could actually try to remember the answer for the 30 seconds it takes to prepare!

The gentleman at the store called me and exchanged it with something which was actually worth slightly more, they even through in a free drink! I was having a really bad day and this really cheered me up. Why the ratings for this place are anything other than 4 and 5 stars I don't know. This isn't a big chain restaurant. It's authentic, fresh, real food served by real people. A* Service with a smile (something that is rare these days)
