I can’t understand the low reviews, we have always had really good quality and piping hot delivery service from these guys. Super friendly and efficient phone ordering and yummy food

This was our first time ordering from here. We are vegetarians. The food was hot, plenty of veg in the dishes . We are extremely fussy about food and we were pleased with the food and the delivery speed. I looked at the reviews and almost cancelled the order, I'm glad we didn't take notice of them. Speak as you find and we enjoyed the food and service very much. I had beancurd and vegetables, the beancurd was fresh ( I'm also very fussy about beancurd) lots of fresh vegetables, my husband had vegetarian hot and sour soup with vegetables spring rolls & Singapore vegetable noodles . There were green beans, celery, baby corn, water chestnuts , lots of them in all the dishes we had. The food wasn't greasy and had a lovely spicy smell . We will be ordering again from here .

Absolutely would never order from this company again food was absolutely disgusting, beef was raw and cold from my (beef and black bean sauce)what a waste of money. Don’t waste you money you will be disappointed TRUST ME

This has had to be the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever eaten. The food was tasteless, even the chillies were as weak as toilet wet tissue. Even my cat turned its nose, and she’s a gannet she’ll eat anything. The only thing that had any taste were the prawn crackers. Won’t be coming back

We used to love ordering from here but the quality has nose dived badly!!! Would never order from here again the rice was 3 spoons topped with chunky vegetables if I wanted stir fried vegetables instead of rice I would have ordered them aswell as the noodles and for the increased price it’s disgraceful !!!! Served quickly,polite....but the takeaway literally had no taste,none.Is this a money saving measure ? Chicken was like wet toilet tissue,with tasteless noodles,I would have got more taste from a bowl of dry sand.

Customer service is shocking when asked were was my order a hour after latest delivery expected time they responded it’s 15 mins away then I called 20 mins later they said another 10 mins when we are 2 mins down the road the chicken balls were cold pink and oozing out oil absolutely disgusting my friend has thrown up multiple times I then called them requesting a refund the said u have to go through Uber eats and basically hung up the phone RUN AS FAR AWAY AS U CAN FROM THIS PLACE🤢🤮

Was in ware on a long weekend fancied ribs and was not disappointed they were the mutts nuts, lovely thick sauce and the meat just melted away from the bone. PLEASE TELL YOUR COLLEAGUES IN HAROLD HILL HOW TO COOK THEM PROPERLY. Next time I bring the boat back you will be the first stop

NOPE NOPE NOPE NEVER AGAIN We were absolutely starving, so ordered some food at around 7:15 via Uber eats, which was due to be delivered around 8pm. Come 8:23, food hadn’t arrived so we called the restaurant to just check that they definitely had our order. They said the food was out for delivery and will be with us very soon as we only live 5 minutes away. Phoned again at 8:50, turns out the DRIVER HAD DELIVERED THE FOOD TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. The guy offered the bare minimum- offered to cook a new batch and send it to us ASAP, then when we asked how on earth this had happened, he proceeded to tell us that it wasn’t ideal because he’s lost money. Our stomachs were starting to digest themselves, but go on hun, continue telling us how your driver delivering to the wrong address is our problem. Uber confirmed they didn’t hire the driver, the food was delivered by the restaurant themselves, so definitely a Wok u Like problem. Food was alright, would have been happy with it at 8pm but probably wasn’t worth the wait.

If I could give zero stars I would Ordered 19.09 by 20.00 no sign so called and was told “we have no orders here it’ll be with you soon” I asked how long has my order been out… was told 30mins. I was incredulous asking how? I’m less than 3 miles away - the food will be horrendous by the time it gets here. Answer was “ it sure what you want me to do, it’s the way it works. It’ll be still hot it’s in heat retaining bags” I said hot isn’t the only issue , what state will the chips be in??!? The spring rolls? Answer “ I hope you enjoy your food.”Another 10mins and it arrived. I wish I could post a photo as the entire delivery went into the bin after an attempt to eat some of it. Chips soggy and flacid , chilli beef had no chilli and the flavour like nothing I’ve ever had before… awful like sugary jam. Spring rolls crispy perhaps when cooked where like sponges . The curry sauce the most vile excuse for “curry sauce” I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste. REVOLTING FOOD - unacceptable delivery time. 40-55 mins which was bad enough but we hoped it would be nearly 40 and it was just over an hour. Stay well clear

I have been getting take-aways from here for several years now, usually once a week. The service has always been great, and no complaints from the wife who is exceptionally fussy. Orders usually ready within 10-15 mins.

Got to be the worse Chinese I've ever had. £45 no dips with mixed hors d'oeuvres. Satay sauce was solid, like jelly. Colour was white. Chicken curry, sauce was totally congealed and chicken not real chicken. Prawn toast was bread in oil. Ribs was dry as the bone it was on Nothing in spring rolls Salt chilli prawns was so over cooked was like rubber. Pork dumplings swimming in vinegar. Beef in the black bean like leather Satay chicken not real chicken was all soggy and tasteless. Only decent thing was the rice and sweet n sour sauce. Rip off. We had to reorder an Indian. DO NOT BOTHER

•Chicken Chow Mein was completely dry •No sweet and sour sauce with Chicken Balls (was given lemon sauce instead) •Chips were dry and old (not fresh at all) had to be thrown •Honey Chicken wings not fresh either Absolutely disappointed all of the above cost £25. Wouldn't mind paying if every item of food was fresh. Gutted and not happy!

Ordered a takeaway at 9pm and still waiting for it at 10.55pm They have took the payment, but no show. Rang them loads of times but not answering. It shuts at 11pm .. dont look like were getting it

My partner and I order chow mein from here fairly regularly. I've read some bad reviews but I've never experienced food being delivered late. I've not tried lots of dishes from here but I tend to get the Salt and Pepper Tofu and my partner gets the ribs alongside our noodles.

I’m not one to usually criticise but that is arguable the worst meal I’ve ever eaten 3/4 of it was binned. The chicken balls were oozing with oil and was just so tasteless. Never returning

Ordered a take away from Wok u like tonight! Ordered the mixed hor d'oeuvres only got ribs and satay chicken without the peanut sauce! No spring rolls or prawn toast and obviously peanut sauce. Ribs and chicken were very dry and the food could have been warmer! Very disappointed after spending £40! Called and they are giving us some money off on our next order! But it's too late now evening spoilt! Plus the language of the person I spoke too was unprofessional.

I ordered food from them at 10pm (they don't close until 11). It took them 50 minutes to realise I'd ordered, at which point it was too late for them to make the order, and they cancelled at the time of delivery. Not impressed. This isn't the first time they've messed up their ordering system. Would not recommend to anyone unless you don't mind wasting your money on no-shows.

One of my favourite takeaways is the special curry, with everything in it including beef, chicken, pork, prawns, onions etc.i always have it with spicy vermicelli noodles, excellent. I could eat it every night, very tasty and never gristly or fatty, perfectly cooked every time and quickly too.

Late arrival, shocking standard of food. How are they able to get away with it?! Stay away! avoid! Customer service shocking when calling to see where it was and to inform the staff how disgusting the meals were. We had a variety of dishes and I’m surprised by the restaurants attitude. AVOID!

To be honest I rang and complained the guy was not rude at all and neither was I. The delivery guy was excellent really polite . I explained my food was burnt (prawn balls ) Noodles flavour shocking ,greasy and rice bland I did use these before and wasn’t happy thinking it was a one off tried again a year later ( yesterday ) Absolutely terrible food. Very disappointed.. ordered online. Took at least 1hour 30mins to get delivered. The drivers excuse was new years eve haha. Roads are not that busy. Food arrived warmish. Tasted OK but not the best. Will never order from here again. Very rude staff and very bad customer service.

Ordered back in October with a large family order which took three hours to come which was cold and awful. Fine a bad experience. This evening gave them a second chance and ordered a takeaway for my wife and I. Over 2 hours later and they were full of excuses. Do not tell us they are 10 minutes away and then they take another hour. I want the truth. The meal turned up hot but was awful. I’ll stick to taste of orient (I’ve lived in ware for 5 years) just a shame their mailbox is always full!! Missing out on business there!

Honestly the worse Chinese takeaway we have ever had. Birthday meal. Late delivery, cold and over cooked. Nothing was enjoyable and most of the food was inedible. First time visited and last time.

The crispy seaweed aka cabbage was the worst ive ever known. Covered in white suger. Didnt eat it after one mouthful. Complained was told that's how they do it. Nothing to compensate for our wasted money.

We have been regular customers for more than 20 years and fair to say we have had good and bad experiences . Today we placed our usual order for delivery which included seaweed. The seaweed was basically a 50/50 mix of sugar coating and seaweed and no where near the usual standard - it was disgusting so have not eaten it. We called the restaurant and the person (man) who answered simply refused to listen to our complaint and refused to allow us to speak with the manager/ owner Ming who we have known for many years. Ming ,in these times of business needing all the customers they can get, your staff are letting you down, so until you sharpen up their customer service skills we’ll sadly have to go elsewhere. Mistakes happen we know that especially with cooking , but how it was dealt with by your staff was appalling and we are out of pocket as we’ve not got what we paid for . This the second time in a few week where we didn’t get part of our order at all. The call to your staff member was at around 7.20 on 7 Aug so you can check who was on duty then .

I’ve been here a few years but seems to have gone down hill now. Last 3 orders have been wrong. Dish left out first time, wrong dish sent last 2 times. Phoned up lee first time and he was very apologetic and offered refund off next order which I completely forgot. Today got another manager. Very unhelpful and basically shouldn’t be working there. Can’t take down an order properly. Basically called me a lair. Think I will find another takeaway.

Naturally made a big order, enjoy a Chinese. Food took forever to arrive. I used to like the Wok U Like down Ware Road, so was excited to enjoy a takeaway from here. Food arrived cold, soggy, no taste and overall very disappointing, barely consumed any of it and won't be ordering from them again. Even the prawn crackers were bad, how can you go wrong with them!

Just left the food on the doorstep, didn’t knock just tapped and I have a working doorbell. They didn’t check to see if I opened the door. They apparently delivered it 15 mins early and I checked my door when it was 15 mins late so it was in the cold rain for half an hour freezing. I called and complained and I hear them swearing about my complaint over the phone. They did nothing about it saying it’s my fault I should’ve heard the tap and checked the doorstep sooner.

Awful food and service! When I checked the app 20 minutes after the estimated delivery time it said it had been delivered! I phoned the restraint to be told the driver was on his way. Food turned up 40 minutes later, cold, greasy covered in condensation and they didn’t even get the order right! Two hours it took from order to delivery and really appalling food, don’t ever buy from this take away unless you want to be screwed over!

Thought we would have a Chinese take away from wok u like. We normally use them and the food and service is normally very good. However this time I rang for nearly 2hrs and the phone was constantly engaged. This I can only put down to them having the phone off the hook as it was busy with orders from the likes of Just eat. Well I wont be bothering again, so it's their loss.

Used them before, but they missed two dishes off of our order. So, we thought that we would give them the benefit of doubt. So, we ordered again tonight and, surprise surprise, they missed two things off, and replaced it with a random dish. The person responsible for the despatch of the orders needs to go the the opticians. So angry because it completely spoilt our meal and evening. We will never order from Wok U Like again. Complete shambles!!!

I ordered the food by derlivery and told it would arrive at 20:00pm, they told me it would take 15 minutes at the latest however it took over 45 minutes. Then I rang up and asked where my food was and they said it was 5 minutes away. 20 minutes later the food arrived given to me by a very rude man who didn't apologise for being late. The food was cold. Overall the food was OK.

NEVER again... We had an estimated delivery time of 19:40. At 20:00 I rang the shop and was told that my food was on route. 20 minutes later still no food... I then rang again and was told that it was 5 minutes away. 45 minutes late the food turned up and was delivered by a rude delivery driver who didn't even apologise for the lateness of the food. When I unpacked the food it was cold... Extremely disappointing. The quality of the food wasn't much better than the service. Poor! All of the sauces were too tomato-based and tasted like plastic. The only positive was the sweet and sour sauce although, it was still an odd color. Waste of money, time and calories. Compared to other Chinese restaurants/takeaways in the area this is by far the worst. Avoid at all costs.

The chicken satay was very strange tasting the chicken didn't seem right, the noodles tasted and looked like they had been sitting in a pot for a week and had been microwaved. The fries and chicken balls were burnt and the sauce was tasteless. First time order from here and I will not be ordering again.
