Greggs in Swindon

So my husband went into greggs today for his lunch. What a waste of time, so he ordered 2 steak bakes, 4 sausage rolls, and a box of doughnuts 🍩 he handed over a £50 note to be told ' we do not take £50 notes ' he asked why 🤔 but she didn't know why. So he asked her for the head office number to ask them why. Without giving him a chance to pay by card, she took the goods away. Nice. He went back to work without lunch. He phoned head office, and the reason is because ' it would have taken too much change ' obviously greggs have too much trade to refuse money. He told them maybe put a sign on your window stating you do not take £50 notes and he would have had the choice to wait in the long queue or go elsewhere. Not good customer service, in my opinion 😕

great company, had many coffees and bacon sarnies at greggs all over the country . all consistently good, not amazing, but hey 3.50 cant complain

Its busy all the time and the staff do well to keep the pies and sausage rolls in stock. ive actually been in their later in the day and theres nothing left the place is so busy. local construction worker. every day visits.
