Usually we are more than happy to stop here have a coffee and sandwiches, or a sausage roll, a bake or whatever. Usually the service is very good! However, on the last visit, they charged us something like £2 to sit in - that was three sausage rolls and three coffees with a £2 extra charge on top total charge somewhere in the region of £10.20. £8.10 for the meal deals and £2.10 for the sit. This has stopped us in our tracks as virtually visiting every 2nd day. They know us, yet on this occasion the server would not have it. “It is what’s come up on the computer.” Trying to clear the queue meant a lack Of service. To add to the experience. The floor was dirty. Table dirty. A no go!!!! Beware.

Surprised at some of the negative reviews. Have eaten here a number of times lately ( lunches ) and have always received excellent service. Always been made welcome , drinks served promptly and any queries about the food promptly answered or explained. The food has always been well cooked and well presented. Special mention for their Prawn and Chorizo Linguine, one of the tastiest I have eaten, our party will certainly keep returning. Lovely home brewed pint available. Well done to all the staff.

Friars Rd, Barry CF62 5TR WalesCame in with my young son and ordered food and two drinks. When I paid the bill, I got the receipt and left. I checked the bill later on and the waiter had added on an almost £4 coffee for himself WITHOUT ASKING! He was a young guy. Could never recommend this place! Ever!

The EsplanadeNice food and views however the woman who served us was very rude, didn’t take my order correctly and then proceeded to argue with me telling me I had ordered it (I never have soya milk so definitely wouldn’t have). The kiosk system is silly because you can’t order sides if you want any, and when ordering at the bar instead you are made to feel like an annoyance. Can’t say I’ll be in a rush to return.
