Costa Coffee (Cardiff Airport Departures) in The Vale of Glamorgan

Rude staff, more training in customer care is required. Ordered 2 teas and cake, server took the money ,put tray on side, got cakes, I was chatting to a fellow passenger ... then I picked up tray, took to table to find teapots empty. Went back to counter,where i explained i was too eager,the waitress queried " they wernt to go then?" To which I said no and she then proceeded to pour the premade tea from the papercups to the teapots to which me and another customer said " please don't do that as they will have a tang to it" . The waitress " Goldie",rudely responded " well you took the tray away"! and started slamming my tea about! So rude! Training opportunity here Costa..... the 5 customers around me were all in disbelief at her behaviour! Stomping around like a child.

Great coffee I had when I was in Cardiff

It's comparable to any airport Costa/chain coffee shop, so I have no comments there - it is exactly what I expected. I made the mistake of trying to carry my food and luggage to a seat and dropped it en route. The staff could have easily ignored me and let me buy another, but a server rushed over to help and bought new food over to my table, despite being only one of a few on a busy service. Good people make all the difference when things go wrong!

Awful opening hours especially for an airport with people catching 6am flights, needs to be open from at least 5am to catch uncaffeinated customers. Much prefer Starbucks at Bristol Airport, better quality coffee and opening hours. Come on Costa pull your socks up it's peak holiday season at an airport!

This is obviously an airport, they know when they're going to be busy? So today work four early morning holiday flights programmed they're using ONE barista and the que is 30minutes....

Staff with poor attitude, poor customer service. Dirty floors and tables.

Not even trying, 10 pounds coffe looks like this?, under the foam a grey liquid w no flavour, watery, disgusting dirty water.. Last time going to Costa.

I’m a sophisticated Millenial so had a cortado. It was excellent.

Cappuccino extra dry!! Well that didn't happen. And no oat milk??? In this day and age

Great place, clean, great coffee and amazing staff, a big "Thank you" to Cherry ( the manager) x Merry Christmas 🤶

Tables where disgusting and dirty hadn’t been cleaned for what looks like a very long “months” at the time there was 6 members of staff on just stood around doing nothing talking on phones and some of the language that was used wasn’t nice to hear.

Came here and got two coke zeros, a pizza, a sandwhich and two waters and two lemon muffins. We were given the drinks and told to go sit at a table. We were then brought out the sandwhich and pizza which the sandwhich the cheese on top was burnt and the pizza was cut and piled onto each other while being squashed in the box. They forgot to give us the muffins so we had to go back for them (not to much a bother) and while we were sitting and eating one of the employees (blue haired) was yelling to the other employee how there was no point being open as the next door Restraunt the beer house had all of the airports customers. A large portion of the cafe had the chairs on the tables giving the appearance it was closing. The other employee was great other than forgetting the muffins but that’s cause he went to warm up the food first.

Waited 10 mins for two teas and two muffins, when I asked the fellow about it again he seemed to think it had been done. When the girl who served me with the order and her attitude, she told me there was people before me. This was the people who I watched come to the counter and then leave. Even the woman who ordered the toast after me was served and gone. I'm afraid this young lady who was on the tea and coffee needs her attitude at home and remember I never asked for her obnoxious remarks with my £9.00 payment. Do Costa vet their employees or just employ any old ignoramusees.
