We received someone else’s order instead of our own as the restaurant had not clearly labelled the bags; we called to tell them this and they said they’d send us a new order. We waited for a further 45 minutes and after multiple calls they then told us they were too busy and couldn’t issue a new order until we gave them the other order back to them which is totally ridiculous as this was not our fault at all and we have been left without or an apology! Won’t be ordering again :)

We always take collection from Greenbank Fishbar. Super delicious food and very friendly staff. Price quality is also super here.

Mean man gave rude, unasked for and personal opinions about a young girls appearance when ordering food! I hope he thinks before he speaks next time and the food is bad too. Poor food and poor service.

Ordered a chicken and Halloumi kebab from here and it was great. Real grilled chicken and not the normal cheap stuff you get. Worth a visit

Ordered 4 cod fish and chips the food arrived cold the fish was hollow full with batter. Jus a total waste of money and tasted nasty. You rather buy fillet of fish. Proper disappointed!

Ordered some food including fish & chips for a pick up. The fish was very dry, oily and batter was rock hard. Obviously, had been fried either the day before or much earlier in the day. The chips were just a mess of rotten potatoes, once again hard and greasy. I rang to speak to the manager to complain about the quality of the food. He wasn't interested, very rude and couldn't wait to get off the phone. Kept saying 'I am very busy' and put the phone down. No apology, no offer for refund or offer for replacement food. Prices have gone up and quality of food gone completely down. Avoid this place at all cost! There are plenty of better fish & chips type of take-aways nearby, cheaper & better quality food! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Usually enjoy my takeaway from here , I always have the same Special fried rice , chips and curry sauce these were average the chips were soggy with a strange after taste which I put down to the oil . Furthermore prices have gone up , making it £9.30 ... my last visit here. Clear sign starting only 3 customers ( lock doen in progress) in shop at a time arrived to find 4 people inside plus the 5 staff clustered together behind the counter, v concerned made it my business to stay outside until customers left . I've survived three months and don't 8ntend to succumb because of a visit to a "chippy".

Choice of food is excellent - fish and chips, burgers, pizzas, kebabs and chicken. Quality is above average for a takeaway. Staff are friendly and service is quick whether in the restaurant or for delivery.

Para los que nos gusta tomarnos unas cervezas sin mirar al tiempo nos llego la noche y como no teniamos hambre. En Greenbank nos atendieron rapido, bueno y barato. Recomendable para una hamburguesa nocturna, u otra cosa.😁

Ordered on good Friday for me and the other half, sadly it was an experience to forget. The batter on the fish was like mush and inedible, upon calling to complain we where told that is how our fish is made and I would not receive a refund. Please avoid this place like the plague, worst fish bar in Liverpool!

Ordered 2 chicken kebabs, fish, chips and BBQ sauce and a donner pizza, took over an hour from order to delivery and we received Luke warm food, BBQ sauce was chilled! Chips were palid, kebabs came with a choice of salad and sauce and there was a free cheesy garlic bread included. I wouldn't order from here again, kebab meat was nice, bread stodgy, sauce excessive and salad laughable, fish and chips were passable as was the pizza but the wait was unacceptable as was the temperature and quality of the majority of the order.

They do amazing kabab on real charcoal grill, and the meat is very fresh and tasty.The shop is also very clean and the staff are friendly, what else can you expect from a fastfood restaurant.

I quite often order for delivery from here when my friends kids visit, it quite good because it does kids meals like sausage/ chicken nuggets with chips, drink and toy. I think maybe the quality is not quite as good as it was last year, but still decent.

I have had fish and chips from this chippy many times and everytime its been great. Tonight I popped in to see staff smoking in the kitchen. I really don't agree so wont be visiting again, sorry.

Meat was lovely but when you buy a kebab you expect some sort of naan with it...i just got meat after waiting half hour.

Me dio este fish and chips 5 estrellas el año pasado, pero ha ido cuesta abajo mal. Pedí por teléfono pescado con patatas fritas ligeramente hace dos semanas, las patatas fritas eran moderados y el pescado era incomible, dentro de la empanada crujiente exterior era un recubrimiento alrededor de 4 mm de grosor de masa sin cocer como un desastre empalagoso. Me dio una segunda oportunidad esta noche, pero ordenados en la tienda, sucedió lo mismo, el pescado era horrible y las patatas fritas eran pálidos y sólo cálido. No se les da una tercera oportunidad.

I have used green bank chippy for around 5 years and have always thought the food was good. Several weeks ago I collected my order and on arriving home I had a huge ant in the cellophane with my chips alongside a black hair. I rang the chippy who sent some chips to replace them but I thought it was a one off.Tonight I went and collected another order and can't believe it there was another ant in my food !!!! I know for a fact it was from the order and not from my house, as I was checking the food after finding an ant last time. I rang the chippy again and was practically told I was a liar and the man also tried to tell me it was just a bit of black that has come off the potatoes ???? !!! It is 100% an ant and I have attached the two photos which clearly show this. I have also put the picture of the ant last time. I think the way I was spoken to on the phone was completely out of line because despite this being the second time I was completely reasonable. He said he was 100% certain it wasn't an ant and that there was no way it could be an ant. So disgusting the way I was spoken to. I think perhaps the ants have been in the cellophane wrappers as they have put the food in ? Disgusting. Also the way I was spoken to was horrific and I will never ever be using this chippy again.

The worst kebab I've ever had!! Who puts a kebab in normal cheap tesco value wrap.. this place. I always went there but no again. Clean but not good.

We had a fish and chips and s p chicken last night , the fish and chips was very fresh and the Chinese meal was delicious,The shop is very clean and service was fast . I highly recommend it .

Think this place has changed management recently. Our last few orders have taken nearly two hours to arrive. Call the restaurant and they repeatedly palm you off with no apology. Received the wrong order and they refused to change it because "we only have one delivery driver". Really bad all round. Used to be our regular but won't use them anymore.

Ordered food online at 5.40 on a Monday evening, fish and chips and sweet and sour chicken. At 7.15 still no sign of food, rang takeaway and asked them to cancel order and spoke to a rude member of staff who informed me that the food was on its way with no apology for delay! I told him that I no longer wanted the food and that I would turn the driver away. The driver never showed up. The member of staff also informed me that the manager would ring me I am still waiting two hours later. Will never use this establishment again!

Worst kebab I've ever had! and I've had my fair share of kebabs!The "naan bread" was a thin, dry, flavourless piece of cardboard that split in the middle as soon as i tried to roll it up.The filling was no better. it was 20% meat to 80% salad, which was a stroke of luck as the salad was the best part. The chicken was dry, chewy and looked grey, and the sauces added very little to the overall meal; the chilli was bland and the tahini was very chalky.The service also left a lot the be expected, I arrived soon after work around nine o'clock, and the staff seemed annoyed that i had brought my custom to their establishment. They rushed me for an order when i was reading the menu and generally appeared unhappy and unfriendly. My partner had a Fish & Chips which I would describe as adequate for the price, nothing special, I will not be returningMy advice would be to walk further down Smithdown Rd to Friends on the corner of Avondale. Genuinely fantastic food with friendly and upbeat service. It was only the need for Fish & Chips that caused me to deviate from my preferred establishment.I would like to note that this is the first time I have ever written a complaint either on Trip Adviser or directly to a business.L.R.

Unbelievably slow and terribly rude staff! Massive queue and they are running around like madmen doing everything but preparing food or serving customers. Pay no attention to the real people in the store and constantly answer the phone while ignoring you. Waited 15 minutes without being spoken to only to be told they had no pies left anyway!noth

I have used this takeaway for fish and chips, chinese and kebab over the past several months. I have found the food to be always plentiful and very tasty. The chips are never greasy and everything cooked well.

Went in for a chicken kebab and at first it was sliced down and it looked really nice, then it got taken into the back, (which I reckon they microwaved it) when I got it home it was rock hard and in bits, really could not eat a bite out of it, had to bin it! Waiting for chips in this place takes forever! But on the good note, the barbeque ribs were fab and the fried rice I had was really nice. I advise you not to get a kebab from this place, but the Chinese food is really good.

The rating is mainly for the fish and chips (5 star) the fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection, the chips are like chips should be thick and tasty, if you prefer them a little browner, just ask, as I do and they will brown them for you.Tried a banquet A (Chinese), but not so good, Chicken and Sweetcorn soup was pale, and Duck was crucified. Barbecued ribs were good, Chicken and Rice average (3 star) So overall 4 star.

A great takeaway! It's clean, it's not greasy and it is quick on delivery! Chicken in Lemon Sauce is a personal favourite but the Salt and Pepper chips are amazing! A good choice of meals and I think very decently priced!!

Just opposite the Brookhouse pub!!! Decent chippy which has been renovated and is clean and offers a great choice of meals.Popped in for a Chicken Kabab which came free with chips and I was well full afterwards. Had a decent chat with the owner who worked at another local chippy and it is good to see hard working people doing well. Well worth a visit!!!!

Absolutely love this place, best fish around! Always busy and the staff are really nice. The wait times are always quite high but still give it full marks because perfection will take a little longer! I'd rather this than go to any other place

Well I have driven past this chippy many I time and didn't take any notice until a menu flyer came through my door after it's refit! I thought hmm that's looks good so we ordered for home delivery the banquet b for 3 people!! Service was quick and friendly and food delicious and plenty for 3 people! Would use again!! I am from Liverpool and I have lived / worked all over the country due to the nature of my job and I can honestly say this is one of the best quality Chippies (Fish & Chip shops) that I have ever been to.The service is always of a high standard and the delivery's are always very fast, with very nice and polite people, Its been a chip shop for many years since I was in school in the local area and it was always good, but now its fantastic.Anyone who has had a bad experience here I'm almost positive the owners if asked would try and help you with your needs, I can honest and truthfully say I order from here more than I probably should haha and it never fails to satisfy me.I personally recommend Salt & Pepper ribs or BBQ, Special Vermicelli and the Vegetable burgers are out of this world according to my Mrs! Dont be put off by the reviews from people who have maybe been once or twice or are hard to please, at the end of the day its a local chip shop and it serves high quality food, but if you want the best best best quality dining then go and sit down at a fancy restaurant.But In all truth I have had better meals from this Chip shop than some of the so called "Better" restaurants. Below average food- it was lukewarm, we suspected it was reheated too... Managers attitude left a lot to be desired, although the other staff were friendly and eager to help. Not good value for money in my opinion.

Typical fish & chip shop, decent food and fairly quick service. The have a good range of stuff to choose from too. We find it useful for local fast food on the way home from uni, but only for ocassional visits. Friendly staff, although it would benefit from somewhere to sit while waiting.

Food is always tasty, delivered quickly and scored 5/5 on Scores on the Doors (Food Standards Agency inspection) - would definitely recommend.

We ordered a take away for 6, it arrived within 35 mins and the portions were massive! Everyone loved their food, the chips are delicious and I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken!It was also pretty cheap, and exactly what we all wanted.
