We had a party of 23 on Friday night, all of us were eating, the team at the Greenlady as always made our night out a great night out. They got all our food out very quickly, great hot quality food and superb service. The whole team deserve some good recognition from the company. Best pub in Caerphilly to visit

This a good pub with a good atmosphere and the service is excellent. We were seated and orders taken very efficiently and food arrived in a very timely manner. My partner had gammon which very good. I had mega mixed grill which fine except for the steaks which were terrible. Nothing to do with thevkitchen they were very poor quality. So tough I couldn't cut them with a steak knife. Like chewing leather. Persevered for a short while but gave up and left them. Finished the rest of the meal very disappointing. I have found this in other marstons pubs. The steaks on the mixed grill are seldom good. You need to source a better steak product for the mixed grills.

Food always good. There is a good menu so you should find something for everyone. It’s cleaned and staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely Sunday lunch with good portion of meat and good selection of veg and potatoes. Quick service and attentive staff. Manager was very accommodating. Would recommend.

Holy is absolutely smashing it deserves at least 15£ an hour

Nice place clean and tidy and decent amount of parking. Car park could use some lighting after sunset though it was pitch black with right turns to exit. Seemed like a friendly place. Staff were lovely. They neglected to mention my family and I were promised a 30% discount however due to the menu being changed after we booked an evening. I was charged full price for my order. I'm sure the bar staff were aware. Other than that had a good time. Would visit again.

Great pub with excellent service, enjoyed a lovely meal here, had A1 service from one of the servers Kristie as she went above and beyond to help entertain our 2 year old daughter.

Two of us went to the Green Lady on a Thursday night for Dinner. Big Carpark at the rear but you have to pay for. The Pub was packed and we struggled to find a table. There are menus on the table with a good selection of typical Pub dishes such as burgers, steak, curry and fish and chips. Orders are placed via an app by scanning a code and entering the table number. We ordered chicken wings to share as a starter, gammon steak and surf and turf. The food was served to the table in a short time. The portions were very large and everything was fresh and hot. Everything tastes very good. The side dishes were also very tasty and plentiful. Because of the football match that was shown on the big TVs, the atmosphere in the pub was very good and lively. I can fully recommend this pub for a relaxed dinner.

When we turn up. We was informed that it was a quiz night. That didn't stop our evening out. Bar staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was hot and excellent. My sister is partially sighted, and unfortunately had a fall outside the pub. Not anyone's fault, just unsteady on her feet. Point is the landlord was more than helpful and we really do appreciate his help. We will come again really lovely atmosphere. When we started to sing happy birthday to my son. The contestants of the quiz joined in, made it a special night thank you once again the Green Lady

From the moment myself and my 8 year old daughter walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff who pointed out an area to sit as it was quite busy . Bar staff were great . Ordering food was very easy on the phone . Service then was excellent as was the food . My wife and son were jealous when we got home and told them .

We were made to feel at ease as soon as you enter and well looked after through your stay. I'm gluten free and nothing was too much trouble to make my stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend a visit.

This pub is back to one of our favourites. Had a meal there last week and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly and professional. Come a long way since it was first taken over by Marsden congratulations to you all. Highly tecommended

Booked out the back room for a celebration and It couldn’t have gone better, the staff was so helpful during and leading up to the night with any questions, the food was absolutely stunning and would definitely recommend any party’s or celebrations as it is the perfect place.

Brilliant meals for a family celebration,12 meals altogether, served hot and at the same time.

Sunday Roast disappointing ..beef very very thinly sliced and food initially cold. When re heated Yorkshire puddings we solid and inedible. Gravy and veg delicious.

Best pub in the whole of Caerphilly, the food is spot on everytime and the staff are lovely. My family and I have tried them all and always come back to the Green Lady.

Went to the green lady xmas day we were allocated a waiter for the time we were there Liam he was absolutely amazing such a lovely young lad. The dinner was beautiful and spot on. All other staff were also so lovely we will definately be booking for next christmas.

Loved our visit on Christmas Day. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff despite the pub being busy. There was a great atmosphere and everyone in our party enjoyed. A big shout out to all the staff but especially Iola who planned Christmas meticulously. Thank you Team Green x

Took my mum and aunt for a festive lunch today. The food was delicious and there was a lovely atmosphere in the pub. The staff are lovely and helpful.

Lovely food but pub needs a refurb tables very battered and sticky but lovely staff excellent service.

If you like loud busy pubs then this is the place to go. Food was ok quick service, so quick that when we arrived at 6.20pm without a booking they offered us a couple of tables that were reserved for 6.30pm even though we said we were looking to eat. We ordered off the app on the table and it was all out within ten minutes, though I certainly don't think the steaks were sirloin more rump . But it was all served up quickly and politely, if you're looking for a cheapish meal where you get an atmosphere this is the place for you

Went for an 80th birthday the staff made a fuss of my mum on her birthday her fish and chips was very large she enjoyed her evening

Last minute Sunday roast. We got a table and enjoyed it there. The big screen at the back had the football on.

We visited on a Saturday early evening and it was very busy and quite noisy, this is why it only got 4 stars. The food was very nice and we would use it again just not at this time.

Food not the best. Cold mash but it was replaced straight away.

Variety on the menu to choose from. Food was a very generous size and tasted delicious. The pub itself could do with a freshen up but still a 5* for overall experience. First time popping in will be back again.

Over the past couple of years this has become our regular for meeting up with friends and eating out. Simon, Matt, Holly and the rest of the staff are superb, nothing is ever too much trouble and they're very accommodating. Service is swift and I can honestly say I've not had a bad meal here in all my visits, which I can say is generally weekly at this point. The beer garden is a good size and the bar itself is quite spacious, dotted around the bar there are several large screen TV's to watch a variety of sports. In addition to the bar there is also a function room that can be hired for a multitude of events just ask at the bar for further details. At times it can be quite busy which is down to how popular this place is, but the staff work tirelessly to ensure that service is as efficient as it possibly can be and that their customers leave happy.

Visited the green lady to charge my car prior to the restaurant opening. I paid a hefty amount for the EV charger and tried to pay for my stay. The system faulted several times and I was unable to pay. I appealed the parking charge but to no avail in spite of showing evidence of payment for the charger and parking payment attempts. Premier Park is a notorious company (give it a google) Why on Marston's would associate themselves with this company is beyond me. Customers beware, you may end up with £100 fine from these sharks and no ombudsman to complain to. I'll be telling all my colleagues who work on this street about this and I will not be using this restaurant again for fear i will be charged.

Very good prices and seating. Their festive (Halloween) theme is amazing. Staff went above and beyond and were really lovely, really kind, really attentive without being overbearing. Loved the food, good portions and good prices, especially with their offers. Really lovely and deserving of praise

Called in for lunch to celebrate my father in laws birthday. We didn’t book a table but we’re seated straight away by a lovely young man. The food was absolutely gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed the desserts. Highly recommend a visit here.

Please make sure you put your registration number when you go in the pub or you will get a parking fine . I had one but was resolved when I contacted the green lady and they cancelled it.

I always enjoy my visits to The Green Lady. Most recently I went my partner and my gran for food. The welcome we received was really friendly. The food was lovely. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals (and the desserts 😁). My gran said she can’t wait to go back again. I’m definitely in agreement!

The food was reasonably priced arrived quickly and very tasty. The staff were also very friendly and checked to made sure that everything was good.

Visited today for Sunday lunch, and the food was lovely, had a turkey dinner which was very nice with lots of veg. Good selection of desserts as well I had the choc fudge cake which was beautiful. Great service from the bar staff too especially Simon and Amelia who made me and my family feel welcome.

Great atmosphere and Always a warm welcome and friendly staff. As a vegetarian there's loads of options, like the ultimate veggie burger or the vegan chilli. Love that there's always something going on and something being advertised. Shout out to Jack P, Lisa and Holly. Can't wait for tomorrow's live event.

I found the food really nice but my partner didn't. I'm guessing the young woman behind the bar was the manager as she wasn't wearing the same as the other 2 girls and she was absolutely brilliant, kind, helpful, and a real credit to your establishment. I think we will visit again due to how nice and helpful the manager was!

Went on Friday 9th august 2024 waited well over 10 minutes for my coffee only to go to the bar to find the manager had forgotten about it! Chips were undercooked mushy peas was cold. Fish was perfect & bread was crusty 1 side soft on the other! Had great customer service from Liam

On trip advisor it says it’s dog friendly- I made a reservation saying we were bringing a dog - on arrival we were told dogs were only allowed outside (it was drizzling) No apology offered. Food just about ok but very generic - ambiance tired but to be fair I only went in to use the ladies. Only friendly member of staff was the waitress who was lovely. Would not return or recommend.

Had a lovely time at the green lady on Friday, all the staff were lovely and welcoming, had a lovely meal and while I was there took part in jack the joker and karaoke, had a lovely night, will definitely be going back 😊

Has pay and display parking for the car park, which is a bit annoying in this day and age. Booked a table for 2 in advance for food, and was initially sat in the bar area, requested to move to the restaurant side which was much quieter and appropriate for a table for 2, surprised we were not allocated a seat there initially, but staff were amazing and happily accommodated the request. No table service for the food, although there was more than enough staff to cater for it. Ordered the mega mixed grill and then a simple rump steak, medium rare, mixed grill was excellent, huge portions and great quality meat (for over £20 you would expect nothing less!) the steak how ever came out well done, fair play to the staff they came to check on us and was advised about the steak and it was supposed to be medium rare, they happily returned it to the kitchen and after about 10/15 minutes a new meal arrived, and the steak was sadly once again, cooked well done. Didn’t bother sending it back a second time and meal wasn’t eaten entirely. Big shame as the mixed grill steaks were smaller, but perfectly cooked. Staff were very good, one in particular, Liam who was extremely friendly and well mannered. A credit to the business. Has a really good selection of drinks and fairly priced, really nice venue both interior and exterior.
