Possibly the worse chips and sausage iv had cheap as it gets thrown the food.in the bin

Disaster, unhygienic food caused me sick and had to frequently rush for toilet. I won't buy takeaway from this shop again 😢

I didn't actually visit her, but had a delivery of fish and chips. It was almost £15 and there were far too many chips, but the fish was lovely.

Absolutely awful. The worst fish and chips we’ve ever had. What a waste of money. Even the kids wouldn’t eat it. Mounds of chips, but they were disgusting, soggy and like chewing cardboard. The fish was also soggy and the thick batter wasn’t cooked on the inside. It tasted bad. My partner had a pie which she said didn’t taste the best and her gravy tasted bitter. The first and last visit to Cwmcarn Fish Bar. AVOID!!!! Go to Churchill’s in Risca instead! Ours ended up in the bin! 🤮

Best chippy for miles, great size portions, family bag of chips less than a fiver feeds 2 adults and 2 teens, service is always quick and friendly

Had food from there and i been screamming crying in pain as i have been sick from the food and in so much pain

Ordered large kebab no pitta bread come with the bread half pounded cheese burger a battered jumbo sausage then ordered a medium meat and chips for somebody else and it cost £25 never again

Very slow. Staff can't understand wot you are saying. Give me my order got home and they forgot my chips waste of time and it's not the first time. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. JOKE

My chips were absolutely disgusting, they were burnt and made me feel sick after eating them

Friendly staff, very clean food was deliciou, had the mixed donor kebab the salad was fresh and crisp. The premises is very clean, highly recommend this establishment

Generally a reliable local chippy. Chips are mostly food but we have had a few bad batches. Portions have really varied too. The service is often quick

If I could get away giving it one star I would. Not been in Cwmcarn for over 20 years, friend suggested it, worst fish shop I have ever been too, I mean who doesn't sell fish in a fish shop. And got my order wrong and only ordered sausage and chips. Stay clear, awful.

Rang for collection and said it would be done in 20 minutes. Arrived and the place was nice and tidy. Food was ready before I arrived. Presentation was little bit off as chips were little under filled. Salad was falling out of my burger but still tasted good.

Absolutely disgusted at the way they treat there staff, I was at the shop when the manger was belittling a young female staff member asking did she have down syndrome and telling her she was slow. The young girl was clearly upset buy this. This kind of treatment is not acceptable!

New ownership, had fish and chips, the fish is about average in size but they do give you a very generous portion of chips, a large was enough to feed 4.

Viajo cada semana 10 millas del centro de newport a comer en la mejor "fish and chips" en newport y los alrededores. Patatas fritas son de primera clase crujiente Outer suaves dentro, rústicas porciones de pescado en un increíblemente un delicioso pasta. Clase Mundial diría. No hessitate donde parar allí cuando visite salida al parque nacional patrimonio el camino escénico cwmcarn. O mejor todavía hacer un viaje especial. Merece la pena. Quality fish cooked on order, in lovely batter with excellent chips. Also enjoyed a side order of mushy peas. All washed down with a chilled Sauvignon Blanc.

Bad chips small portions same with fish small over priced could take a lesson from crosskeys chippy or newbridge

Our local chip shop. We've used them for many years, and I can't remember a bad meal. Bonus that you can buy your cans there too. Recommended.

Great chips. Great staff. Always busy. Lots of choice. Well wrapped and packaged. Alcohol also available as well as soft drinks. Only downside is parking outside can be a little tricky
