Hands down Great chips unfortunately let down by the queues waiting to order, 1 staff member when it's busy is just not enough. 8/3/25 Extra staff on tonight however it was more luck I got in b4 the queue. Still can't fault the food. The only downside is... It's cash only.

Great fish and chips. Not greasy and crispy batter. Good portions too.

Best plaice around here. The fish is really nicely cooked, thats a given, but - I'm fussy about how chips are cooked, for me they cant be greasy or white, these are the best!

They are the best fish and chips at that side of Huddersfield. Kirkheaton fish and chip shop has shut (due to retirement) so I’m coming to Little Green Hut!

Best fish and chips around by far . I live a few miles away in Newsome with a chippy on my doorstep , but I always visit the green hut once a week , sometimes twice . Friendly service , very reasonable prices and most importantly , fantastic freshly fried fish and chips..👍

The fish and chips are too greasy. The worst fish and chips going. I don't understand how this place has 5 star on hygiene when the place is dirty. Not worth your time. Or your time

Find the fish in £3_10 batter Do not know whether it is in New ownership when when Hendrick was cooking at the property the fish was excellent and the chips hot and fresh not warm ups that were not hot.and the fish was excellent and easy to find it was great then but sadly it is not the same The FIRST FSA KIRKLEES NEED TO DO ANOTHER INSPECTION THINGS HAVE CHANGED SINCE 2015 not for the better
