Green House Restaurant in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

What a place. Run by a husband and wife team serving amazing food with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. There were 3 of us dining, we had 1 bottle of pinot grigio, 2 starters, 3 mains, 1 dessert and 2 single scoops of homemade sorbet. Total came to £150 which was incredibly reasonable (or even underpriced as it was all so fab). Attached is a photo of the menu when we visited which describes each dish in detail. For starters we had the beetroot dish which was phenominal. For main we had 2 monkfish, which were beautifully cooked and perfectly seasoned and dressed. And also one pork loin which was again, beautifully cooked, and I have to say the carrot puree was particularly lovely. For dessert we had one homemade raspberry sorbet, which was lovely. One homemade watermelon, cointreau and lime sorbet (?!) which was beautiful and very unique but in the best way! And a blackcurrant pavlova with a lemon curd and ginger crumb which was again, fabulous. It is lovely to see a team so passionate about their establishment, but also so at ease. The wife - the cook- seemed completely in her element working in the open kitchen, and the husband - who served us- was so appreciative of the compliments we paid them. Absolutely cannot fault this restaurant. If you are visiting the area, we cannot recommend it more.

We were staying in Coverack and had a lovely walk here and back, around an hour each way but so very worth it! The food was brilliant and original,atmosphere, other diners we got chatting to, everything was absolutely lovely - worth the staggering waddle home!

My wife and I moved from Falmouth here to St. Keverne in 2002 and from our first visit to the Greenhouse Restaurant in that first month, we were stunned by the wide choice of delicious flavours and friendliness of the owners, Leonie and Neil. We made Fridays, our night of delight and began dining there every Friday evening. Each and every visit was remarkable. Then one winter, my wife and I each caught the Flu and had to cancel but we were astonished when Leonie called round to our house with a complete dinner for two and she and Neil have been our close friends ever since.

I loved this restaurant, it’s small but has a nice atmosphere. I believe it’s a couple that run the place doing the serving and cooking. The food was excellent, lots of flavour and fresh! A few home made surprises on the menu also. I will definitely make sure I book a table here on my next visit.

I visited this fantastic restaurant with my girlfriend.We had salmon for starters and it was the best Ever had in my life.The staff are really friendly and I felt really welcomed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Had a lovely meal here with some friend it’s literally on my door step should use it more ... lovely food and lovely atmosphere and very friendly people ! I had the crab to start and scoliosis for main was delicious

This is the same restaurant as The Greenhouse rated no 2 of 6 in St Keverne. I cannot see how to report this so please amend the site. Simple to check. They both show the same website for the Greenhouse.

We had a wonderful relaxing meal . The food was exquisite, beautifully prepared and served, Neil gave us and every table his constant attention. The food was excellent. Atmosphere great . We will be back

Our local bistro, and the best on the Lizard, consistently excellent with really tasty food and good friendly service. not to be missed !

Visited this restaurant last night to celebrate a birthday. The food was full of flavour and the locally produced meat was the tastiest and tenderest I have ever eaten. There were eight in out party and every course delighted their taste buds. The children were well catered for. Excellent quality organic food at the right price, in comfortable and friendly surroundings.

Sometimes one stumbles across a gem - this was one of those occasions. The food was classically simple but cooked to perfection, the ambiance was ideal and the service all one could ask for. If you are in the area do not miss it.

Cracking meal in a quanit little restaurant hidden in St. Keverne. Like eating in someone's living room & full both on the night we booked and ate. Food excellent, service slightly un-charismatic but professional.

Locally recommended an I can can see why, fresh produced the local area all seasonal. I have never seen such value for money huge fillet of hake cooked to perfection. Duck terraine and onion chutney is lush and to finish maple tart to die for. Glad I had a walk home after I ate loads. Visited this restaurant with friends who live locally. They often eat here and wanted to share their experience. They were friendly with the owners as they are regulars . The food was excellent! My husband and I are quite hard to please and have been feeling very let down by our recent meals out but can honestly say this has restored our faith in eating out a real gem and asset to the area would definitely visit again. I had fish which was cooked perfectly and very good value the dish had the tenderest squid I have ever eaten! My husband had steak which he said was one of the best he has ever eaten thoroughly recommend a try.

My friend and I had a truly excellent meal at this restaurant - we started with brown crab meat soup with dill creme fraiche and croutons, I then had Hake on slow cooked octopus in red wine and the finished with an absolutely top hole rum baba - all delicious. With a bottle of wine three courses for two came to just under £75 - what a bargain. The decor is smart but not too much, excellent music and a great feel. The owner acted as waiter and his wife cooked - a wining team. All the food is cooked in the restaurant so the menu isn't huge - 4/5 options in each course. Definitely plan to go there again when ever I can.

Visited the Green House whilst on holiday in Cornwall recently. This is a small and individualistic restaurant that has a friendly atmosphere and a menu that offers something different without being outlandish. The restaurant was full and service felt a little chaotic, but I think this was because a lot of people arrived at a similar time and the waiter was racing around trying to cover a lot of bases. However, everything arrived at the table in good time and we all enjoyed our meals. The Food was well cooked and presented and was delicious.

Beautifully cooked and prepared food, Open Tuesdays to Saturdays) Best to book as gets busy. This little place will give your taste buds a treat for sure.

Cómo genial para ir a comer y encontrar que productos orgánicos locales está siendo utilizada. Había una gran variedad de sabrosos platos en el invernadero. Teníamos bruscetta de cangrejo para comenzar y luego un rango libre bastante picante pollo caracola salteados y, finalmente, chocolate y Pavlova pudines, todo estaba delicioso! El una cerveza de Gof de Lagartija cervezas debe de haber viajado a 4 millas, así que tanto sabrosa y locales. El ambiente es muy relajado y amable, y el dueño es muy dispuesto a discutir los platos en el menú. Tal vez las mesas están un poco demasiado cerca pero que es un pequeño precio a pagar por excelentes platos locales, orgánicos.

The green house serves only organically produced locally sourced food and does a good job of it. The fish was excellent and everything very fresh. The only very minor criticism was that the service was a bit slow and the restaurant got a bit too hot.

We have been visiting the Greenhouse for quite a few years now, every time we are on holiday at the Roskilly's. It never fails to disappoint. The fish is always fresh and the meat locally sourced, as well as being organic. I had lamb with a Vietnamese salad which was lovely and didn't need the bowl of new potatoes with it! Already looking forward to next year!
