Worst steak I’ve ever had. Full of gristle. Very disappointing. Could’ve got a bad piece of meat because I asked for it to be well done and some cooks don’t like that because they want you to have it cooked how they want it

Nos registramos en nuestro hotel e hicimos un par de horas de compras, así que antes de regresar a casa nos detuvimos para tomar un bistec. No habíamos reservado, pero nos dieron una mesa después de nuestra primera copa. Ambos ordenaron bistec, ambos estaban felices, era bueno. Solo para disfrutar de nuestra comida, este lugar es un guardián.

Entramos alrededor de las 9:15 de la tarde para la cena. Nadie en la puerta y dando vueltas alrededor tratando de averiguar si el asiento o nosotros mismos. . Finalmente un par de menús agarramos como anfitriona (como fuimos a averiguar) me ve fuera de la esquina de su ojo, ya que tiene la espalda a la puerta y está mandando mensajes en un teléfono móvil. Ella de mala gana y nos sentamos sarcasmo. Esperamos más de 10 minutos para que alguien a reconocer nuestra existencia y finalmente a la izquierda. A mi esposa smirked anfitriona como salimos sin un comentario.

Awesome place for a steak . Staff was patient as the person I was with was a bit difficult . Would come back again when in the area.

Just turned up with three other colleagues on the off-chance. The place was vibrant, welcoming and we didn't even have to wait long for a table. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The menu was comprehensive (with a Halal option too) and they took our order in no time. What was initially strange is that they didn't ask us how we would like our steak done! However, all was revealed when they brought them out with a hot stone so you could cook it yourself to perfection! Sides were great too and well seasoned and the food perfect. While it's not the cheapest place, it's not the most expensive either and so I wouldn't hesitate a moment in going back there again.

We have eaten here previously and always enjoy our food, the place has changed over to Steak and Co, however not much has changed.I chose the 8oz Rump steak which was around £16.00 which i thought was reasonable, however then you are reminded that this is for the steak only, so you have to then choose the rest of your meal. Fries or Chips £3-5, mushrooms £2.50 etc and before you know it you have ordered a £30 steak dinner.Also it do enjoy the "cook it yourself" hot rock however when my steak was delivered to the table it was already cooked to my liking so this was really just a personal heater.Overall tasty and we would return.

Ci ha servito Aga, che è stata molto disponibile e simpatica...ci ha aiutato molto considerando anche il nostro inglese un po' così .. Abbiamo preso un antipasto a base di alette di pollo e costolette d'agnello, condite con un'ottima salsa barbecue. Abbiamo proseguito con una bistecca, che ci è stata servita al sangue sopra una piastra che permetteva a ciascuno la propria cottura preferita. La carne era tenerissima e anche i contorni (patatine e insalata) di ottima qualità. Vivamente consigliato a chi a Londra cerca un locale che offra cose diverse e di più elevata qualità rispetto ai soliti hamburger e patatine...

I actually tried this restaurant twice, and was not overwhelmed. The food was OK (I was happier with the salmon I had the first time than the steak I had the second), and when the restaurant is crowded, the service was spotty.

Excelentes opções de carnes grelhadas, acompanhadas das tradicionais opções britânicas. A melhor opção são as carnes na pedra, que vem em uma pedra fumegante e você mesmo grelha no ponto desejado.

Didn't realize place had changed hands - its now Steak and Co Now the steak is served on a hot stone and you cook it yourself. If I could cook great steak to top class restaurant standards I would eat at home. I can't so I eat out so the gimmick just irritated me.Everything was OK - apart from the steak cos I cant cook so I got it wrong. And the price is ridiculous considering they don't employ a chef

Know beforehand that you might not get 100% honest reviews as they are offering right now a free glass of wine for every review completed....That being said, I don't drink but here is my review: The steak is served on its own stone and was excellent! One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. However the sides were just a tad disappointing compared to the steak. They were bad, but lacked seasoning. Compared to the steak, they didnt stack up. Overall great service and I would go back and reccomend for a good piece of meat.

We went there on Friday for a meal and had the best steak ever. We were served by Kevin, he made us feel so welcome and was very attentive as did all the staff.. The fillet steak was the best my wife and I have ever had, being served on the hot stone enabled us to finish the meat to our own requirements, plus it kept the mushrooms and chips hot to the end of the meal. Next time we are in London we will most certainly be going back and also recommending to our friends.

Frequently visit the Green Door, and always had a great time and lovely food. Upon recently visiting under the new owner, we were met with a 10 min delay for a table which is never a problem. Over the next 60 mins, we were told 10 mins consistently too which we got bored and requested a table or we'd leave. A table was found for the six of us, but the service was so slow, the steaks over-cooked and even the chef left the restaurant before the steaks were on the table. Disappointed, but I'll put this down to their new opening. We will return and hopefully be met with the same level of customer service and quality of food I'd expect for the cost of the meal from the previous owners.Over the last four years, we've had lovely food but please, get something else on draught except for Stella.

This restaurant was recommended by our concierge when we were hankering for a nice steak dinner. And, it was just a three minute walk from the hotel in a very safe and beautiful neighbourhood. The ambiance was lovely, they treated my 11 year old (a well behaved one) with respect even though the place did not cater to children. The food was very good, steaks well prepared, service spot on. Just what was expected from a mid-high range steakhouse.

dopo tre anni torniamo per due sere consecutive in questo locale vicino all'albergo scelto quest'anno e lo troviamo immutato negli arredi. Quello che è cambiato è un po il menu, ma va bene lo stesso. Personale multinazionale sempre cordiale ed accogliente, ma nessun italiano. dico questo solo perché più anni passano e più Londra è popolata da italiani. Il cibo è buono come al solito, spaziando tra qualche spiedino di pollo, steak di vario tipo, anelli di cipolle insalate varie. L'unico problema riscontrato è la novità di servire la carne in tavola su pietra ollare che continua a sprigionare fumo invadendo i tavoli circostanti con la conseguenza di portare i panni in lavanderia. Devo anche dire che la seconda sera gli anelli di cipolle erano abbastanza "oliati", tantè che l'olio era fuoriuscito dal coppetto contenitore. Visto l'accaduto, anche se non richiesto, non hanno inserito nel conto il loro costo scusandosi dell'accaduto. Tenuto presente il "fumo di Londra" è da consigliare perché la carne è veramente buona.

Manger correctement à Londres sans se ruiner ? Voilà une bonne adresse. Certes ce n'est pas donné (on reste en livres sterling...) mais steaks et spare ribs sont excellents. Le service est attentionné et sympa. Ambiance chaleureuses. Nous y avons bu un très bon vin d'Afrique du Sud pas trop cher. Quelle bonne soirée !Réservez c'est plus prudent...

I visited this place as I was staying on business nearby. Nice restaurant, the staff were polite and the service was very good. I tried a rack of ribs for my main course but found them a bit too fatty. Could not comment on anything else as I was dining alone.

Enjoyed it so much the first night we went back the next night! Ali and his team were great, and the food was fantastic. Really good atmosphere, there was a mix of young and old and they all seemed to be enjoying it. Will definitely go again next time we are in the area.

Atmosphere good for an early meal, not matched by the food though. Tough rib eye steak (also not cooked as requested), gloopy bearnaise sauce and after being asked by the waiter what I thought of the steak, he left me alone completely!

We originally were looking for another restaurant that was recommended by our hotel but we ended up stopping here instead after glancing at the menu. We ordered numerous appetizers and sides (there were 7 of us) along with unique entrees. Everyone at the table was very happy with their choices. I got the Filet which was delicious. One of us got the Fish and Chips (we are in London!!!) and that was also delicious. The lamb appetizer was fantastic and so was the Camembert. I highly recommend this restaurant for a sit down dinner or some drinks and sides at the bar. We highly enjoyed it!!

Locale molto ben curato nella forma e nella sostanza. Il maitre che è italiano ci fa subito accomodare e ci sentiamo già a casa. Il filetto è ottimo e anche il resto. It's a big restaurant, lively and busy. The staff were fantastic, really attentive. The wine was good and the food great quality and really generous portions. There was nothing negative and perfect for work or pleasure with the round tables. I'll definitely come back

Ci siamo stati a cena il 30 ottobre! Abbiamo inziato con un antipasto buonissimo con formaggio fuso Camembert per poi proseguire con carne (tagliata), un filetto deliziosi e una insalata mista con pollo. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente, con cibo di qualità!Lo consiglio assolutamente!

Ordered several drinks / sides and mains and none of them got to us correctly, example: Coke had gotten mixed up with water, 8oz steak got swapped for 10oz which hits the bill hard! Chicken skewer was bad- Small portions - staff were not great apart from doorman doing more than he should to help the waitress that was boasting about her 7 years waiting experience and not doing the job properly - overall avoid it's not worth it, time - experience - price - slow - McDonald's next time?

Driving into London n a Friday is always a bit exciting and tiring - so we were looking for somewhere relaxing and comfortable for dinner...The team at the Millennium Hotel where we were staying recommended this place as it is only 100 m from the hotel - and it was really good...The food is very nicely presented, there is an imaginative menu alongside the standard steaks, and the Team are excellent...Service makes an evening and the whole team seemed to be enjoying themselves and it shows in the approach they take with their customers...Fillet Steak is excellent as is the Pork Belly - and the chef put a fruit salad together "off menu" which was a nice touch...Great find and would recommend - thanks to the Team for looking after us so well..

After waiting 45mins for a table we were finally ushered to a very cramped table. Being that there were 6 of us, made for some interesting times. Our table had to be set around us. We were also not provided with menus & had to ask. Surely a set table and menus are basics?? We finally got the attention of a waiter who took our order....this is where we waited...and waited. Nearly an hour passed before 4 of the 6 meals ordered came to the table. A few minutes later the final meals arrived with our sides. The meals whilst good, were already disappointing after the horrendous service. Also trying to get the attention of the waiter again to get the bill proved a feat in itself. We asked for the bill & the waiter said he would get it. He disappeared & didn't come back. We decided to go to the bar & pay & were promptly told to sit down at our table. Again....we waited. Finally the waiter sashayed his way to the table & said thank you for waiting & he was running as quick as he could. This could not be further from the truth. I am also a little disappointed that you purchase the steak & then add on with sides & pay for each side. Surely it would be a better idea to include fries or salad & then have the additional options. We were also provided with a corona that had a moldy piece of lime in it. This was replaced, however it should NEVER have come to the table. An increase in food standards along with a consistent approach to providing excellent customer service would see the rating of this restaurant increase significantly.

Whilst the food is good here, the service is terrible. We waited almost 20 minutes to get our drinks after ordering them, the food took almost an hour to get after we ordered and then when we asked for the bill it took another 15 minutes to get that. It was taking way too long to get any service so we took our money to the counter to pay. We were abruptly told by the manager to go back and sit down and wait for the waiter to come to the table to pay. The service was the slowest I've seen in a long time. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Went for dinner one evening And because the dinner was wonderful went back for lunch The restaurant was packed out for dinner luckily me and my assistant could get a table in the corner , for 2. The dinner was WONDERFUL, really enjoyed it , lovely food, great atmosphere , very quick attentive staffLunch however, restaurant was empty (except for 3 other diners)3 members of staff, and the service was slow , I had finished my drink nobody came to check if I wanted another one, nobody came to check if I was enjoying my food (which I might add I had the fish and chips , and I have to say was the most tasteless thing I'd eaten in a long time!!!) anyway, I went back because my first experience was great, maybe evenings is a different chef or who knows! The waitress didn't seem interested and in a little world of her own I could comment to her about the food because she never came near my table and I was SO hungry I'd have eaten anything at that point I will go back for dinner for sure but maybe go elsewhere for lunch

Great food, great ambience, exceptionally friendly waiter Andrea whom we were very lucky to have on both nights we visited the restaurant. We will definitely go back on our next visit to London

What a nice surprise. Although the place is big the service is quite good and quick. Ordered a fillet and a T-Bone and both very good (and very competitive pricing-wise). Starters and wine were also good. The cheesecake is just excellent. I would definitely come back and recommend it. The only cons is the short offer of beers

Visited on a Sunday evening, staff were very attentive and polite. Steaks were cooked as we'd ordered and well presented. Puddings were quite expensive for what they were but overall a good meal in pleasant surroundings.

My wife & I were staying at a nearby hotel in South Kensington and decided to have dinner at the Green Door. We were there on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was not crowded when we were there. Service was excellent and the food was very good and presented very well. We would return again.

Excellentes grillades. Bonnes cuissons et bonnes quantités. Service impeccable, rapide et notre serveur parlait même français. Belle carte des vins et bon choix de bières. Et aussi étrange que ça puisse paraître, la musique de fond était excellente et pas trop forte comme ailleurs. Bref, essayez le!!!

We ate here on Valentine's Day because nearly everywhere else was full. It was also very busy here but they found us a table and we had a very good meal with good service considering the number of people eating.

Visited with my daughter on a Monday evening, it was very busy but the service was good. We shared some olives and bread for starters and each had a steak. This was very good, well cooked and tasty. You pay extra for sides, so it did prove a little pricey. Good service and the food was good.

In quattro mesi partendo dall'Italia ci sono stato due volte e ci ritornero' consigliandolo agli amici di passaggio a London. Ho mangiato dell'ottima e saporitissima carne, sembrava un burro. Insomma tutto bene!!!!!! A maggio ci sono stato in coppia ed amiche e ad ottobre sempre 2015 da solo

宿に近かったので、疲れて出かける気にもならず近場で勝負、と思って入りました。ファミレスっぽいのかと思ったら、意外にちゃんとしたステーキハウスでした。店は堅苦しくなく入りやすく、その割に料理は質が良かった。フレンドリーなスタッフの対応も上品さはないが、手早い動きでストレスなし。量も多く、デザートまでたどりつくことができなかった。すごい高級志向でなければ、十分楽しめるレストランだと思う。ステーキソースを注文したが、忘れられたのでマイナス１。でも、かえって塩味でおいしくいただくことができた。

A Londra è sempre difficile mangiare per noi italiani.Fortunatamente avevamo questo locale vicino. Carne molto buona ci siamo tornati anche la seconda sera. Grazie a Stefano ci ha accolti e consigliati ottimamente. Torneremo! Promesso.

muy bien ambientado en el barrio de Kensington. Tiene buena variedad de comidas y la atención es excelente. Si bien es steakhouse, se puede comer de todo. Precios dentro de la media en restaurantes londinenses. Fuimos atendidos por Stefano con la mejor voluntad y eficiencia

המסעדה נקיה,הצוות חייכני ואדיב ונעתר לבקשותינו באדיבות האוכל טעים. מרק בצל טוב מאוד,מנת הצלעות שקיבלנו הספיקה לזוג והצלעות טופלו היטב ולא שרפו אותם! הערתי היחידה לגבי" הסלט היווני" יווני הוא לא. אבל בסה"כ ארוחה שהבטיחה רבות וקיימה ההבטחה

Good location near many good hotels. The food was good as was service. Staff were courteous and efficient. To be a little picky - menu was a bit overpriced. Not much but a little compared to similar round about.

Food lovely, staff polite and attentive, nice atmosphere and decor... would visit again when back in London.
