Green Bamboo in Oxford

I got talked into the seet and sour king prawns with sauce incorporated in the dish rather than separate. Best dish ever,yum yum 😋

Terrible.. red thai curry had tomatoes and pineapple? It was like sweet n sour? And chicken satay? No peanuts.. burnt ..dry chicken.. total waste if £22

A regular UK Chinese takeaway. Good for quality generally. 4 stars due to the menu being hard to find online because I'm not a social media user. Would be nice to see better quality images of the menu available online rather than relying on a paper version crumpled in a draw somewhere. Also 4 stars because there are no dessert options.

I absolutely love Green Bamboo! The food is gorgeous and they deliver incredibly fast! The crispy shredded beef in chilli sauce is a favourite, as is the char siu foo yung. Everything they do is yum!

Absolutely disgusting. The worst "Chinese" take away I've ever had in my life. We took Sichuan chicken, sweet & sour prawns and prawn chow mein. All was just dipping in a very heavy, tasteless gravy. I know that one cannot expect to retrieve authentic Chinese tastes in a take away restaurant in the UK or wherever in Europe, but there are minimum standards and respect to the customers. Though we didn't finish, we had that blotted feeling of heaviness, but absolutely no feeling of satiety. This was a waste of my evening.

Food was very good. Choose the set menu for two people. One of the choices I did not like. And he quickly changed it for something I preferred. Plenty food. Quick service. The food was fresh and tasty. Never been to this place before as I am from Nottingham but will definitely visit again. The front of the shop was very clean and the green colour made you relax while you wait. Very friendly staff too.

We found this when out for a drive our meal was so good we have just had a delivery and again such excellent food and amazing selection and such lovely staff too. brilliant you must try

Loved the food here, the Peking chicken was incredibly flavorful and nice and soft as well. The Schezwan chicken was also very good with the fried rice. Will definitely be coming back.

Very quick, very clean, fantastic food and great menu

I thought I would give this place a 2nd chance, bad idea. Over seasoned duck dish, chicken dish not fresh and swimming in sickly sauce.only had two vegetables. Shant be ordering again.

I have no connection with this take-away apart from being a customer for many years. I'm therefore surprised to see the recent complaints as I've always had courtesy on the phone and had my meals delivered (and to well out of town) on time. The food quality is subjective but I've always been happy with it. Pity just one problem produces such a damning review. Anyway, I'm happy to recommend it to anyone.

We have had Chinese takeaways from the north of Scotland to the South of England and this is by far the best we have experienced. Our order was taken courteously and accurately. It was delivered quicker than promised and was hot. Every dish we ordered was delicious. This was the 3rd time we have enjoyed a meal from The Green Bamboo and we look forward to the next. Thank you so much to all the staff.

The food took ages to arrive ! I waited inside for nearly 30 mins ! At opening time aswell ! I heard arguing in the kitchen ! ( prob explains the poor quality of food ) The food was greasy ! The lemon chicken portion was tiny ! The duck for two was rubbish ! ( not enough ) The pancakes weren’t cooked properly! They were doughy inside ! The whole meal was a let down .. 24 quid down the drain ! I Would not ever go back ! I’d rather buy a pre cooked Chinese ready meal ! Please tell everybody !

Just hade a takeaway it has to be the worst Chinese i have ever had i would avoid this place food is very poor very expensive and the quality has to be the worst ever had.

Worst Chinese I’ve had. Terrible food, the chicken was so chewy I couldn’t eat it. Even the egg fried rice was bad. How can someone say something positive about this place blows my mind.

We ordered the special set dinner A for 2. It was delicious, fresh, tasty and filling. And prompt and very reasonably priced. We'll be going back.

An excellent Chinese take away.

I just don't believe how anyone can say anything positive about this place. I've just had spare ribs and spent ten minutes chewing, threw them in the bin. Then the same with the chicken?? How do you cook chicken and make it chewy???? I feel like I've just been robbed of £15. Never ever again.

Very fast, with in 20 mins of ordering, the bloke was at my front door, it is a shame there is not a menu on line to look at on line,

Goos Chinese food as far as the UK goes

Really poor service. Asked not to deliver for 30 mins as family had not arrived. Totally ignored and food went col. Today I have been in to place another delivery. No apology and as cost fell slightly short he refused delivery. Will be going elsewhere.
