Excellent service and amazing food as always

Unfortunately I felt really let down leaving Greek house. I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews so maybe we were unlucky with the food we were served but for me the meal we were served was very overpriced for what you got. Nearly £18 for a deconstructed gyro is madness, for me the chicken tasted nothing like it does back in Greece, I’ve made better myself at home Service was very very slow and the waiters weren’t the most attentive when asking for new cutlery. I wouldn’t return, and I think there’s much better in Lincoln.

Chicken very dry, side dishes was nice, quite expensive for what is is.

We have been many times to Greek restaurant we can say this one on Burton waters is the Best we have for a long time ! Thank you we are coming back soon!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I find the poor reviews hard to believe. We found this place by chance. The food was fabulous, the service lovely. It felt like a genuine, family-owned restaurant. We wiill definitely be returning.

Whilst the food was tasty and the staff were lovely I found it a bit expensive . Also when we went to our table we were asked if we would like water but it wasn't until the bill came that we found we were charged for it. Might have been better to say there was a charge beforehand

I booked for my wife’s birthday midweek. They greeted us at the door wishing my wife a happy birthday which was a nice surprise for her. Food was excellent. Very friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. Finished off with a birthday cake and a nice cocktail. We will be back soon.

Absolutely fantastic, the waiters were brilliant. Head chef nikos was lovely and friendly and greeted us personally. He also told us a little bit about his background which was fascinating. His wife tania was lovely and gave us a really warm welcoming. And last but not least the food was absolutely amazing. I had the kleftico and other members of my family had the mixed grill and the steak and every plate was cleared. Service was amazing, food was fast and fresh and overall it was a 10/10 experience. Amazing!! I had my Sunday lunch here with a very warm welcome as soon as you step through the door. The ladies and gentlemen are extremely well mannered and polite, professionals. Fin showed me to my table and was very attentive throughout. I ordered a large glass of shiraz and was given a jug of water. Fin recommended Kleftico, which is a slow cooked lamb with peppers, herbs and vegetables, and served with rice. OMG, it was delicously superb. I didn't want it to end even mopped it up with some pitta bread that Nikos, the fantastic head chef, brought me Then, just when I thought it couldn't get better, I was served warm baklava and ice cream. This was my first time going to the Greek house and I have to say it was amazing. The food and the vibe was very authentic. I had the chicken gyros and my partner had the keleftiko both fantastic along with great service. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem on burton waters! Amazing quality of food, homemade freshly cooked. Staff was friendly and attentive, looking forward to going back and brining more friends and family, water brought to the table on arrival. Desserts made promptly and were delicious I recommend the baklava.

Booked for my birthday, location is stunning. We all enjoyed our starters and mains, food was fabulous, definitely be returning. The two young members of staff who looked after us were fantastic and really do a good work 👏.

Gorgeous setting and outside seating was nice. Food was horrific, full skin left on the fish which was sat in just a seasoned oil sauce, served with 1 chopped new potato and some green beans with 1 piece of broccoli, partners chicken skewer served with a few chips and 2 slices of rock hard pitta was almost inedible, a tiny pot of mustard that he used to try and swallow the chicken. The feta and pastry starter couldn’t have been further from the authentic Greek dish that it’s supposed to be! There was no feta In it just pastry absolutely drowned in honey. I get the impression that the owner can have a bad attitude by a couple of comments he made to us, we ordered our starters and mains and he presumed we wanted them all at the stable straight away, we said no separately please and he said “well I don’t know you didn’t say did you”. When we arrived and asked for a table for 2 he was reluctant and said “well it’s Saturday night I dunno”. I wanted to leave then and I wish I had. £75 wasted, didn’t eat my main course which was £18.50. Don’t recommend at all.

Absolutely fantastic from the word go. Special mention to Tania and Dimitri's for their service. Nothing was too much trouble! Many of us ordered the kleftiko and it was stunning, Presented at the table en papiliote, and opened at the table which we weren't expecting. Service second to none. True greek hospitality! Including Dimitri's doing a zorba dance to the music playing bringing out our desserts and complete with complimentary Tanya shots. I Didn't try the dessert as couldn't eat another thing but others saying how great they were, and they did look amazing. The baklava looked stunning with lots of pistachio. Now wished I'd tried it.

What a fantastic restaurant. We sat outside for a few bottles of Mythos first before our meal. We could have been in Greece looking out at all the boats on the water. Service was amazing. All the staff were amazing, with Tanya being a perfect host. We had a selection of starters to begin with. The keftedakia was out of this world, and the loukaniko brought us back to our holidays all over the Greek islands. For main, we chose stiffado, kleftiko and the mousaksa (our favourites from abroad) and boy they didn't disappoint. You can tell The chefs are Greek and one of the chefs called nickos came out to say hello Absolutely amazing. My daughter was less adventurous and chose the bifteki. She absolutely loved it (and she is fussy) All portions were fantastic. To finish, although full, we had to share a baklava, with Tanya coming over to give us a complimentary shot. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Can't wait to return , so much so we've booked when friends are coming next month.

We came for a wander round Burton Waters and happened across this restaurant. What a great find. So child friendly. Service was quick and like being abroad they loved our children unlike many restaurants. We chose a meze (nearly everything off the starter menu). We can't fault anything except the weather. Our glasses never ran dry, as service was exceptional by 2 fantastic ladies called Tanya and Amy. Portion sizes were great, and the chefs even sent out extra pitta to soak up the amazing sauces from the dishes. Could eat that prawn saganaki sauce over and over again. Thankyou for a fantastic meal and making out kids feel so welcome.

Very disappointed booked the restaurant a month before dining it was for a special occasion Father’s Day! Once we arrived we was shown to our table then we noticed another diner had take the only two high chairs available. So I proceeded to ask for another one as my sons only 18months old and he wouldn’t be secure nor comfortable on a normal chair and it would compromise our dinning experience. once the manager knew he did try to get another high chair form another restaurant however with no luck they prob didn’t want to be out of high chairs themselves on a busy Sunday. What annoyed me the most is we’d pre booked, traveled there to be met with something that is just pure bad business if you have a large restaurant your more than likely going to need to provide more than 2 highchairs for a family friendly restaurant and then to just let people leave from a booking with a hungry child and it’s hot and we have to find another restaurant that most was fully booked during the Father’s Day celebration without trying to offer something on the house for the inconvenience or be more Apologetic etc. Word of mouth goes along way especially with mums I definitely won’t be going again as I wouldn’t want to come up against this situation.

Both the food and the service was excellent. As the weather was good, it added to the already ‘holiday’ atmosphere that is created here. An all round wonderful evening.

Absolutely love this place. It is such a gem in Burton Waters. If you haven't been before, run and go! The food is outstanding, the service is great, albeit a little slow when it's super busy, but thats expected. You'd totally forgive it when you try the food. It's worth any wait. Здравей те не знам дали е от значение професионалното ми мнение на готвач ,но ще се опитам да бъда колкото се може по кратък. Така от къде първо да започна , ами от началото ще е най-добре . Посетихме ресторанта със семейството си поръчахме си стартери и основно ястие плюс нещо за пиене. И всичко прекрасно беше до там(имам предвид под прекрасното посрещане на културна дама която ни обслужи възможно най-добре) и започнаха кошмари в кухнята . 1.Стартери: Няма да говоря за сплесканото кюфте от сирена или за течните кюфтета от тиквички ,но искам да говоря за зелената салата под тях която беше под всякаква критика със стари дебели стъбла черни и не изчистени. 2.Основно: Мешена скара за близо 25 пауда 1 наденица разцепена на две студена, пригоряла като подметка , 2 шишчета пилешко и свинско сухи до няма и къде . 1 агнешко ребърце под всякаква критика сухо и изгоряло като въглен от едната страна . Myself and two good friends often visit The Greek House at Burton Waters!! The food. atmosphere and friendly service reminds us of annual holiday together in Cyprus can't give higher praise than that!!!

Together with friends we visited this place because we like Greek cuisine very much. Unfortunately, the restaurant lacks a Greek accent, it was very gloomy. The food did not impress us, the dishes did not resemble the taste of Greek cuisine. Lincoln lacks good Greek cuisine, unfortunately the Greek House Restaurant is not.

We have been here quite a lot before but this time the portions were reduced in size and just not very well cooked. The atmosphere is very nice and the setting at Burton Waters but the Woodcock's is just as good food.

We made an impromptu visit hoping that we would get in. They were very welcoming and accommodating. Service was really attentive. And we weren't waiting ages. We all had 3 courses and the food was outstanding. The staff made sure several times that everything was OK. Prices were very reasonable. We are already planning to revisit (several times hopefully🤞)

The place was unkempt and dirty, the service staff had no knowledge of what they were doing, we have been to Greece several times and this food did not resemble anything, it was miserable. It's a scam, small portions and high prices, the tables were sticky and the chairs black from dirt, the restaurant manager was rude. most of the food is frozen and heated in the microwave, we could see it clearly because we were sitting across from the kitchen. We do not recommend it, group of 7 people.

Ok how to explain simple. It’s overpriced for this restaurant. The prices suit the location but interior is simple nothing special. The food it’s nothing special at all. The starters £5.50 for six olives. And for .6.60 your get feta cheese chips so explained it’s chips with small amount of feta cheese on top. So it’s confusing on menu I thinking if you see the name like halloumi cheese chips you getting halloumi cheese chips same should be with feta cheese chips. My wife ordered lamb chops they were perfect my grill mix was to ,but amount of food on mix it’s not much bigger then wife’s dish but the price is nearly twice more. So my point it’s I been in 1000 of restaurant in my life this not worth a money at all.

Wow! Wonderful food and wonderful service. Don’t really need to say more! The food was sublime, the service was spot on too. We had the mixed dips and then a selection of meze dishes. Wonderful. Highly recommend it. We will definitely be back. Reasonable priced too.

Kind staff, good food, good service

Beautiful food was as close to Greece as we have had. Excellent starters, and especially the melitzanosalata!! The mains were delicious and plentiful in portions. My parents loved the paidakia! The staff and the owners were lovely and made our stay very pleasant. Overall we highly recommend Greek House and we can’t wait to come back!

I wish I'd taken some photos to show how utterly disappointing this place is. Frozen veggies, frozen chips and limp salad. Ordered a souvlaki and a fish dish. Both dishes were laden with bought in product and we paid just under £20 for each dish. The Mezze platter which is £25 is a combination of any 4 starters you want except for the expensive one. If you get 4 starters, it might save you £5 but it certainly isn't a mezze. Recently in Cyprus and they brought out food until you didn't want any more. That is a mezze. You have to doubt the chefs and the food quality when they cant even cut their own vegetables. We also had a cider each which was flat. Much like our experience in this place. Aldi skin on fries, frozen veggies, iceberg lettuce and a slice of pepper fobbed off as if that is a salad. Greeks are known for their ability to make a nice salad. I feel embarrassed for the waitresses who have to bring that food to the table. It was our first and last visit to this place. I do hope you heed the warning when looking for a place to eat. I'd take a cold Ginsters tikka pasty over this. At least I'd be full after it and It would be much better value for money.

Wow! What a terrible experience! We had a table booked for 18:00 turned up at 17:45 roughly and after a slight confusion we were seated within minutes. We were asked if we'd like a drink and I was driving so chose the orange cordial for 50p which my partner also chose, we asked for soda water but were given tap water with the cordial. No big deal, then the waitress took our order at around 18:05 I wanted the humus starter with pita and a main of chicken gyro my partner wanted the mixed grill. Not a problem we were told thank you very much and your food will be with you shortly. Half an hour passed and then 45 minutes pass, a table of around 6 had been enjoying their mains and we kept seeing food leave the kitchen and then all of a sudden the table who'd finished their main were then being served desert and we were starting to get ready to leave at this point as we knew they'd forgotten to cook our order. The manager or owner I'm unsure who he is offered us 1 pitta between us with some olives to snack on as they clearly knew we figured out they'd forgotten us. Another 10/15 minutes pass and we are served our food almost 1 hour after ordering and it was terrible! My hummus was dry and had the consistency of pollyfiller! Thick dry and very unpleasant. Pitta was soggy and cold. My chicken gyro was chewy as it must of been thigh meat they used and it was rushed to get it to the table and the fat didn't have chance to render. My partner was very unhappy with the mixed grill also with overcooked meat almost burnt. We both decided at this point we'd simply ask for the bill after only managing to eat a quater of our meals and in doing so the manager/owner was frantically asking us what was wrong and I didn't want to make a fuss infront of other diners so kindly said it's OK and asked for the bill again. We were given the bill and to be honest I think we were overcharged for our food as the bill cone to 52 pounds. My starter was £5.50 my chicken gyro was less than £10 and the mixed grill I belive was £25 pounds, plus two cordials at 50p each which gives a total of £41.50 so overcharged by around £10. We were given the bill but due to it being busy nobody came with the card machine or to take cash so we approached the bar/greeting area and again we got approached by the manager/owner and then we explained about the food and he said he'd take care of it and we were given £5 off our bill even though they'd overcharged us in the first place. We will not go back and I apologise for lying to staff when I said we will come back and try again because we won't I simply didn't want to make a fuss and cause a scene. Please people if you're after a nice meal and an enjoyable experience then avoid this place at all costs. Your slad is not fresh it's out of a bag you get from a supermarket and its simply a glorified takeaway charging crazy money for something you'd probably get better if you went to some place on one of the delivery sites likes of uber and just eat etc

Came to the Greek House for the second time with my family this time to celebrate my husbands birthday. There was 7 of us altogether. The atmosphere was amazing the staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food was absolutely superb and cooked to perfection. The place is very spacious and very clean. The staff are very professional at all times but also enjoy a good banter. We all had an amazing night and will be returning in the future. The Greek House is 5 stars all the way for us. Highly recommend it as we all Absolutely loved it. Once again thank you to Dimitri and his family.❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
