Amazing pastries, Greek people eat there so you know it's authentic. The owners were really nice, we stop there to eat, and then stopped again on the way back to get more food to eat at home. A great experience

The best coffee in Portobello, and the pastries are excellent and as far as I can tell authentic. Excellent olive oils too. The guy who serves is very kind and helpful and is generous to a ‘t’ and I keep going back mostly for the coffee and pastries but also to see him.

Incredibly warm service. Coffee and pastries were absolutely delicious. Beyond clean and tidy. Really couldn’t beat it! Stumbled across the place for a quick breakfast and couldn’t recommend it enough.

The sit in area is dog friendly. I have tired a few of their savoury pastries and they are delicious, really fresh and moreish. I recommend trying the sweet pastry too, it is truly delicious

Love this wee place. Grab a takeaway cuppa and a pastry or biscuit. Then take it next door to the airy sitting area, decorated in deep blue and white, like a Greek taverna.

Quick stop on our way back to Edinburgh. Cosy place with charming and generous host Mr Panayotis- we got treated to Florina Sour Cherry (a popular and hard to find Greek soft drink) just for being fellow Greeks. Thank you Panayoti for sharing Greek hospitality in this tiny corner of Portobello.

It's not bad. There is no table service but there is an area to sit. I only had a latte which was very nice and averagely priced. The pastries and cookies aren't my thing and seemed to be priced at the higher end of the scale (around £3 to £3.50 each) However, by all accounts, they are very good. The chap serving was very quirky but nice. Would I go again...... Maybe.

Great little place with nice (ice) coffee to take to the beach. However, my world was changed forever especially when I tried their puff pastry sesame chocolate roll - it was amazing and I'll never forget it!!

Very hyper and friendly guy behind the till. Coffee and pastries were lovely. Nice small cafe area to sit inside and eat. Small selection of pre packed Greek foods like stuffed aubergines, desert items, biscuits and juices are also available.

One of the gems of Portobello! Not only do they serve a vast array of delicious goodies, sweet and savoury, but the owner and the staff are the friendliest people you could hope to meet! Now with indoor seating so you can sit comfortably and enjoy your food.

This charming little bakery is a must if visiting Portobello. It’s been on my list of eateries to visit for a while now and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I headed there today and bought one savoury item and one sweet item. Both were delicious. They tasted so fresh and felt so authentic. I'd definitely recommend.

Delicious, authentic Greek pastries

We were at the Conference Centre getting our Covid jab and they are only just up the road..... At least that was her excuse. Several large frozen pies bought but the villain in the script is Bougatsa Vanilla. Very nice, she always finds an excuse to eat the first piece within an hour of getting home and then say we might as well eat the other half, just to remove temptation.... We're considering ordering on-line and collecting since a small queue had gathered outside as we chose the items and had them all wrapped

Really excellent Greek pastries in Portobello, both sweet and savoury are worth a try. Coffee is good, generous size and reasonable price for the area. The staff are lovely, really friendly, taking good precautions in current circumstances.

Incredible pastries (sweet and savoury), tasty coffee, and extremely friendly service - the guy who runs it has gone 'into the back' to dig us out special requests from us numerous times! If you're in Portobello, or anywhere Edinburgh, it's worth the trip.

Always excellent quality. The spinach bougatsa and portokalopita (orange honey cake) are particularly outstanding but really it is all extremely tasty. The coffee is, despite facing multiple sources of strong competition, the best in Portobello.

My husband and I enjoyed hot filo pastries and bought some delicious sweet pastries for later. They were so yummy. Very popular place, always someone in the queue. (Lockdown measures in place)

We enjoyed what we bought the first time, so had to return. Living at the other end of the city, we were buying the frozen ones, ostensibly for Xmas. Each one we pointed at (Due Covid you stand in the street at the door) was explained and once the server had the 4 items all wrapped, he then wrote a note with baking times & temps. I mentioned Xmas - We need to go back to get more Bougatsa Vanilla. We've eaten the 4 portions......

Some of the best pastries in Edinburgh if not the best. Good variety of Greek products that are usually hard to find elsewhere.

If you're looking for something a bit different for tea or a picnic you can buy the pies frozen and cook them at home! 😊 Absolutely delicious - go on... Treat yourself! Also the filo and Custard pies and the chicken pies are not to be missed 😍🍻 xx

One of our favourite places for a treat. We love the coffee, sweet and savoury pastries. We recently ordered a large spinach and feta pie for a family party, definitely recommended and enjoyed by all. The service is always so friendly too.

Having missed my regular visits to the Bread Street cafe I am happy I can still get my Greek Artisan Pastries fix at the nearby Portobello bakery. Everything is delicious and the portions are huge! The coffee is also excellent. What a warm welcome from the lovely young lady working that day, from providing water for our dog and the offer to write us a recipe. The long queue outside on Tuesday afternoon says it all!

I saw this while cycling by yesterday. It's properly set up for safe buying in the pandemic. Bought a couple of spanokopita and a tiropita. It was magical, we could have been eating in thePeloponnese. The lad serving had great style as well.
