Great Wall in Rochdale

Always enjoy the food from here. Was gutted when they went on a five week holiday. Well worth it!

Absolutely amazing ! Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a Chinese. The absolute best place.

Decent all round. I order every week, the chicken satay skewers are really good value, you get loads. Idk why they serve it on lettuce tho 😂

first time ordering yesterday... everything was absolutely gorgeous. Hot, tasty and not full of salt like other Chinese's in the area! The prawn toast and meat spring rolls were so good! So happy to find a great chinese right by where i work. We will be back soon. Thank you :)

We had a takeaway from here. The sweet and sour chicken was nice and the chicken and cashew nuts was also nice. The egg fried rice was alright I've had better.. My partner had chicken in black bean sauce and left most of it he didn't enjoy it at all unfortunately. The delivery was quick.

My mum ordered a family Chinese for our tea off the website and everything came apart from some egg fried rice so my mum rang up and said i am missing the egg fried rice they said its on its way and send it out, 1 hour later, the rice still didn't arrive, so I phoned up and asked where it was and there exact words were previously saying its on it way, we are sorry but sorry wasn't good enough as I finished my tea so well left most of it the ribs were horrible, they were dry spare ribs they were no flavour at all and burnt. it would of been nice to have my rice to go with it but it didn't turn up. when i rang up the second time they hung up,

Ordered many meals from here. All freshly made, hot and excellent quality and taste. Our new go to for a takeaway treat. Highly recommend. Gorgeous food 😁 Great prices too 👌

So good, so tasty. I had squid salt and pepper and pork ribs. Ordered 2 days in the row, first day I had vegetables only and mushrooms, they were good. Now I want order again but is opening at 16:30. I want chips with sausage if they have, I would fry an egg next to it. Can't wait.

Ordered a chicken omelette and received vegetables all over it! I don’t request this as vegetables so, shouldn’t have received them. Couldn’t eat it! Absolute joke this place!

Ordered on just eat and they never send out the correct meal. Ordered a chicken omelette and it came with loads of vegetables in it! They should not send out products that aren’t advised due to allergens. They’re a joke! This is ridiculous and they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it!

We were in Rochdale for a couple of days and decided to order a takeaway from a local restaurant. The food was very tasty and good value for money. We love Chinese food and our local Chinese restaurant, Mr Chois is brilliant, but this was even better! Great taste, value, and quality.

The food was absolutely lovely but damn don't expect them to sort the order if they have done it wrong! The only response we got was take it up with just eat! Yeah brilliant, I'll wait a few days for the order to be sort hhaha shocking service!!! They were so rude, customer service was shocking! Won't be ordering from them again and I'll definitely be letting oth r know too!

I’ve had food from here often but last nights was a bit below par. My egg fried rice was stodgy as if over cooked and the same with the chow mein. I probably will try again at some point but hope the chef takes notice of this review.

Chicken chow mein First time ever ordered from here, will be the last, a tub of tasteless egg noodles with the odd piece of chicken, I had 2 forkfuls, vile.

Great customer service, the food was hot and arrived before time. The salt & pepper was delicious, tasty crispy chips and yummy pineapple fritters. Also got fortune cookies and prawn crackers. Found my new Chinese - thank you.

Great food. Improved massively over the last 12 months

Very friendly and the food is really good. I love the chips because they are crispy unlike some chippies were their soggy or burnt. You get your food really quickly and so your not waiting long periods of time. So when your hungry there's no better place to eat.

Our meal was so nice & on time thank you still warm as well. Our food came in 30 mins from order & we are 3 miles away. Easy to order as well.

IM giving this place a 1 star as i have to give a rating or I wouldnt bother ,Orderd beef curry & boiled rice absoluty rubbish ,very bland ,onions had been boiled to their death no flavour in the curry what so ever ,partner had curry & chips ,they tasted like they were frozen.Will definatly not be ordering from here again.

We ordered this a bit last minute after not planning our evening very well and didn't put a great deal of effort into what we chose, we just picked the first couple of things that took our fancy off the menu. For me it was Mixed Salt & Pepper everything and some pork dumplings as a starter. The woman got the same Salt & Pepper meal and a chow mein in case she didn't like the first one, and we got a chicken nugget kids meal for the baby.Overall, arrived in decent fashion. Included free prawn crackers and a load of fortune cookies which is always nice. The salt & pepper meal was fine for me, maybe slightly overcooked on the odd piece but nothing to overly complain about. Portion size was in my opinion a touch on the small side, but also it wasn't expensive at all so can't really complain, maybe I'm just greedy. A little too spicy for woman so she didn't finish it. They are definitely not shy with the fresh chilis so bear that in mind. Didn't get round to eating the chow mein on the day so it's unfair to judge it after microwaving although it was still nice. Pork dumplings were perfect in my opinion but a a matter of taste, Rudo didn't like them. More the texture than anything else but that's her issue, I really don't think there was anything wrong with them. Kids menu wasn't great and had absolutely no choice what so ever, but saying that the kid loves chicken nuggets anyway and most likely that's what we would have ordered. Not a lot to say about them, standard chicken nuggets and chips. An 18 month old can't give feedback but she finished them so I'll take it she liked them.Overall, not bad for a rushed order, would like to have given it a bit more thought. Didn't blow me away but it was never going to, the price was fair, the delivery time is what I expected, some nice freebies, generally pretty happy. Will likely try a few other places before returning though, but certainly not put off from going again.

Waited an hour and half for delivery to find that it hadn't even been cooked. Worst chinese in the area. Whitworth chinese all the way. Best by far. Ill never try great wall again

Ordered from here 27th Sept!! On line delivery paid 21.40. Meal came. But when we sat down to eat it. The sezuan beef was inedible way way to many chillies!!!! Was vile!!! The chicken curry was just water!!! Horrid!!!! Very angry about this!!! Will never order from there again!!! Disgusting food!!! Waste of hard earned money!!!!

I thought it was great up until I realise they missed items on my order and when we called up to tell them they quite literally said no we are not going to refund you or give you the food we missed. she refused. for the amount of money I paid I'm appauled

Consistently decent food, best in the Rochdale area, in my (not so) humble opinion. I love their salt and pepper chips. Spicy and crisp is what they are. I also enjoy dinner for two. Basically, decent food for 20 quid. Overall great experience.

They refused to send us our food or refund us our money saying that we had not been home. When asked why we would order and pay if we were not at home they could not answer. The very irrate woman in the phone told me we were not aloud to order from them again ( as if we would ????) and hung up on us. Beware very dodgy take away do not pay up front , we now have to get our money back some how.

Food was ok but firstly was delivered 2 hours early . Was redelivered at the correct time but the seaweed was missing from the order which had been paid for.

This is a simple statement. Great Wall delivers the best Chinese in Rochdale area. Period. I particularly enjoy their Salt & Pepper Chips. Have tried several different dishes and was never disappointed. Delivery was always within promised time and the food was always piping hot or close to it. Kudos to them. For those of us looking for a restaurant a word of caution. Great Wall is a take-away place. Still, great food offered at reasonable prices. And last thing: They are closed on Mondays.

the food was 30 minutes late and there was no apology when we phoned to enquire where it was. I had the duck and ribs which was nice but my husband got the mixed meat salt and pepper.. it was very small for what it costs and he said it was a bit bland except for the salt. he also got curry chips and rice and he said the chips and rice were nice but the curry had zero flavour. all in all the food wasn’t bad but wasn’t as good as others the delivery time was rubbish though. estimated hour for it to then be half an hour late is terrible.

I ordered chicken breast, they had ran out so sent chips instead, when I rang to ask for my money back the customer service was disgusting, they food was horrible even the dog wouldn't eat the sausage never again will I eat from there, and I'm still waiting on my £3.60 that I paid for the chicken breast.

I appreciate orders are busy on a Tuesday as most chip shops are shut, but after waiting 2.5 hours for an order that was sent out for delivery an hour earlier just isn't good. I only ordered some chips..! I've ordered from here lots of times without a problem, but after today I honestly won't bother. Me and my boyfriend are blooming starving at 10pm on a Tuesday and we've cancelled the order as doubt it'd be edible anyway. Order with caution! :(

Ordered 7:15. Received food 9:05 after phoning the restaurant to complain after receiving text at 8:25 to say food was on its way..No apology for massive delay. Food received was not great. 'crispy' chilli beef was anything but... Sloppy and slimy. Everything else was Luke warm

had to wait 2.5 hours in total for my food. having rang the restaurant 15 mins after my order was supposed to have been delivered to be told it would be 10 mins was frustrating enough without having to ring the restaurant a further 4 times to be told the same. is it usual practice for a child to answer the phone here at 1030pm?? not quite what I was expecting at that time of night to then be passed over to a rather frustrated manager who clearly wasn’t bothered about my complaint. never received such poor service and quality of food ever!

The food wasn't delivered because of lazy delivery guy didn't want to walk up the stairs.

Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for food, phoned to see where it was and got told it went back to the shop as they had attempted to deliver it and we weren't in. When I told her we were in the whole time she changed her mind and said that the driver couldn't find the address (even though provided with address and postcode, so find this highly unlikely). Lady on the phone extremely rude and then decided to just hang up and then refused to answer the phone when trying to get back in touch. Shame as the food there in the past has always been very good, however after this experience we definitely won't be ordering from there again

we have ordered our same old Chinese for years. we thought we’d give these a go. wow! the best mixed starters for one, amazing garlic and chilli mussels and..... BEAUTIFUL Thai green chicken curry!!! ... free prawn crackers and loads of fortune cookies!! we will definitely be regulars. beautiful food. great extras. well done guys!!

Order from Great Wall fairly regularly, the food always tastes good and it always seems really fresh, would definitely recommend Great Wall, best Chinese takeaway I’ve tried in Rochdale.

That has got to be the worst food/service I've ever had. Greasy chow mein (How?) Never ever ever buy from here. Trust me I'd rather starve than eat this dog food again. In fact my dogs food looks and smells better. Thanks for ruining the end of a 12 hour shift!!!
