We really enjoyed our experience . It was a 70th birthday celebration. We were very well taken care of. The restaurant also had a lively atmosphere so clearly very popular! They also happily catered for the vegans in our party.

While I am not willing to give this rating, I am writing this review in the public interest in the hope that many people will not experience unpleasant feelings similar to mine. If you visit this restaurant, you may encounter an unimaginably unpleasant experience due to the staff's emotions, attitudes, or perceptions. I visited this restaurant after completing my master's degree in London and was on a week-long holiday with my husband in Eastbourne. There was a narrow two-seater in the middle of the hall where the staff invited us to sit, but I wanted to spend some more quality time with my husband and to sit in the cozy four-seater seat on the edge. However, the staff told me in a furious tone and expression that all the other seats were fully booked and that he should reserve the seats I wanted for the customers who walked in without reservations. Following an embarrassing and unpleasant encounter, my husband and I left because we no longer wanted to stay there. On my way back to the hotel after an intimate and nice dinner somewhere else, I had a chance to look inside this restaurant, and I noticed two people sitting in the exact seats I had requested but was denied, and all the seats in the hall were still empty. I feel NAUSEATED just imagining eating there. Suppose you want a tremendous Greek cuisine experience and a beautiful Instagram photo. In that case, I encourage you to visit a Greek restaurant just around the corner that is friendly, much more vibrant, more authentic and serves excellent taste. And I sincerely hope that your journey, which should be the happiest, will not be tainted by unpleasant experiences.

Fantastic service. We were able to be squeezed in as we hadn't booked ahead and thank you very much for doing so. Food was absolutely delicious with friendly and efficient service.

Best Greek food I've tasted in years

Had an excellent lunch here. Can recommend the meat sharing platter which was enormous and looked and tasted wonderful. Good selection of desserts as well.

If you want to experience really good Greek food, a great atmosphere and pleasant service, you should go here. The food is authentic and a pleasant change from English cuisine.

Amazing welcome & service. Our waitress was delightful. Someone collected our coat & return them at the end without having to ask. Restaurant was warm. We had the 3 courses set shared menu. Amazing starters, utterly delicious chicken, tasty beef, lovely chips. We were offered a take away box as we couldn't possibly finish the beef. The only thing I didn't really enjoy & was limited in choice was the dessert But I will definitely go back! Thank you for a great evening 😊

Another delicious meal at Great, enjoyed by us both. The evening began with a warm welcome from the owner and then continued excellent service from the brilliant staff. We started with the delicious dips platter, and then followed that with beef stifado and prawn saganaki. Delicious and authentic, we love this restaurant and recommend it all the time.

First came here on a recommendation from a friend and have been back several times since. I wouldn’t usually venture up to this part of town but this place is worth a visit. Excellent souvlaki and mixed grill, great flatbread, salad and dips. Generous portions too - decent value for money. Service good but there can be a bit of a wait on food during busy periods. Would recommend.

I love Gr/eat and visit often - the service is always great and the food exceptional. Last night I took two colleagues who are not local and who haven't visited before and they were blown away by the quality of the food. They couldn't have been happier with the service and their food choices and are already looking forward to returning!

Visited Eastbourne last year and tried to book this restaurant but it was to busy, this time we booked in advance and so pleased we did, everyone is so friendly and service was excellent. We shared a platter and hubby declared it was the best lamb chops he had ever had. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to return again next year

This is by far my favourite restaurant in Eastbourne and can only be recommended. If with friends, as a couple or with family, this is the place to go to as it never disappoints. The service, atmosphere and the food are lovely and we have been yesterday and the new menu is to die for. I can definitely recommend the Metaxa chicken which is a dish I usually get in Germany but have not found at any Greek restaurants in the UK so far..until now. The chicken Shish, seafood platter, beef stifado are also absolutely amazing! And definitely the feta cheese for starters! The downstairs has also recently been decorated and is beautiful and perfect for parties! A must place to go when in Eastbourne but book in advance not to get disappointed as it can get really busy!

Really lovely food and excellent , friendly service. There is a wide range of choices especially for meat & fish , Veggie starters good , generous portions . Recommend the aubergine dip . In addition , wine is reasonably priced .

Our favourite restaurant in Eastbourne. Been here numerous times. Service is always efficient and friendly. Even with the huge numbers of customers they must have every year, they still remember which table we like and which wine I like. The food is amazing and fresh with very generous portions. Give it a go. You won’t be disappointed. Make sure you book though!!

Walking down Terminus Rd tonight looking for somewhere to eat and this Greek Restaurant caught my eye. What an amazing find, the food was fantastic & authentic, and the staff were warm and friendly.
