Great Fortune House in Wyre

Just had a proper feast at the Great Fortune, and it was spot on! The sizzling steak in black pepper had just the right kick, and the dim sum was top notch. service was incredibly friendly too. defo a shout for delicious food. can't wait for a repeat visit!

I'm a big foodie and I absolutely love the food here. We came here as a group on a busy Saturday night and the service was excellent. the ladies were super friendly and a laugh. absolutely enjoyed our experience here. would definitely recommend xx

First time here so we got a banquet b soup which we picked hot and sour amazing! then mixed starters chicken wing rib seeweed prawn toast and spring roll all lovely. we added duck and pancakes for extra £6.50 100% worth it the best duck we ever had then a main each ,chilli beef nice but would chose different next time and chicken in black pepper just wow the best dish I ever had anywhere mouth watering! rice and.noodles we had two drinks each two cokes and 2 pints total bill £76 now to the service outstanding just so lovely made sure everything was OK fast great service and just lovely people price is worth it indeed we can't wait to go back again soon

Quite frankly one of the best Chinese I've been to. The food was amazing and the staff was the friendliest I've seen in a long time. Top Marks!

The table service was incredible and the lady servers were so kind and helpful. Each course of food was great quality and delicious. We had ordered from their fortune banquet as recommended and aromatic duck. Mouth watering. Only just discovered this place, definitely worth coming here for a change from Lytham St Annes. Our entire experience was wonderful. I would award this restaurant for their excellence. Nice comfortable atmosphere. I can't believe I never knew about this place before. I've already let my friends know about here. We'll come back more frequently!

Came in as a group here the other day. I've been going here with family for years and it never disappoints. This restaurant is famous for their multi-course banquets. The food is always flavourful and well prepared, the staff service is always friendly and courteous. Definitely one of the best Oriental Restaurants around. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

We visited last night for a pre birthday get together. Greeted warmly by the lovely staff, who were offering help to my disabled mother, and showed us to our table. Restaurant was busy last night, and the staff were ever so lovely taking our orders. Food, as always, was fabulous and plentiful - banquet meal with lots to choose from and no problems ordering for our vegetarian dad. Atmosphere was lovely, restaurant very clean. A fabulous evening!!

Visited on Saturday night 4 of us and had 2 different banquet meals, staff were really friendly but efficient food was 1st class would highly recommend will definitely be back.

We attended as a family of 12. The staff (Catrina) manager was amazing. She looked after us all evening. The service was fantastic. The food was just as good. We all had a wonderful evening. Thank you. We will definitely return when visiting the area again.

This restaurant serves the freshest hottest food , great choice not just Chinese, tonight I had a takeaway beef chow mien and seaweed which was fantastic, I will be back to dine next week it’s fabulous. Bar well stocked too , the San Miguel is so good and Angela so polite great hostess .

One of the best nights I've ever had. We followed the event their had on their Facebook. Never in my life would I have thought to sing at a restaurant. There was also the famous celebrity from the telly hosting the evening and they made everyone's day. Food was undoubtedly delicious. Cannot fault it. The service was excellent too. Hope to see the restaurant packed with events more often. Will definitely see us again.

This was the best Chinese Ive ever had. The crispy duck is mouth watering! We opted for the delicious sizzling beef dish and it was so worth it. We eat chinese food every weekend for the past 15 plus years so have a good idea what a good one taste"s like but visited this place last night and got to admit it was the worse tasting chinese food we"ve ever had.sweetcorn soup was overly sweet and sicklygot ripped off with the starter platter (not got what was ordered/paid for) after checking menu when got home and along with main meals was tasteless and bland.On this experience definitely a place to avoid, there are much better place in the area than this.

The staff was very lovely as I was passing by on my way home on a Sunday after a long shift and it was like 8pm but the staff was so, so talkative which it is lovely to walk into as you know you’ll get good service without worrying. They gave me some opinions as I was ordering takeaway but wasn’t too sure what I really wanted and they provide you with a free item when you go there but if you spend £20 then you’ll get free beer. It is one beautiful Cantonese restaurant and they have great members of staff which they have two delivery drivers and they was so talkative and hilarious. It is a really nice place to be and it makes you want to eat there more than once! The takeaway food I took back to my hotel and it was still hot and it was so tasty, I would go back whenever I am back down in the town and I’d love to work there too!

It is not often that one frequents a restaurant like one would a good dr or hairdresser - once you find a good one you don’t change. Having got through 2 loyalty cards we go back as good as once every week, if not for a sit down then for the takeaway regular of Salt and Pepper chips. Can’t fault the place. Snappy service, lovely staff and a pot of jasmine tea for £1.50 - you can’t say fairer than that. Now listen here potential customer and listen good. Chinese restaurants (other nationalities of eatery are available) come and go, no sooner than the mint imperial has dissolved in your mouth and you have phoned the taxi is the meal forgotten. The Great Fortune House is different. It’s like a family. You don’t simply go “just the once” there’s one across the road, there’s one in Blackpool and Fleetwood but I’ll be jolly rogered if you find any of them better. Special mentions must go out to Katrina and Ryan. We will be back. Muchos, muchos gratitude to you both. Weve had food from here the oast few months before that we couldnt find a chinese we liked near our caravans weve been there 7yrs! The food is delicious, the staff are lovely and friendly, always have a lovely chat to make you feel welcomed, weve told all our guests to try this place it's a must! In the 12 yrs I've been living in the area this is by far the best Chinese takeaway I've come across - & I've tried many, how it's escaped my attention for so long I don't know.My lady friend & I have a simple test when trying a new takeaway, order the same meal as we've done with other takeaways.I ordered a King Prawn Kung Po & Egg Fried Rice -- a King Prawn Kung Po should be quite spicy, with succulent King prawns, water chestnuts slices etc & contain Cashew nuts, so many don't (I've even had a Kung Po with left over battered prawns from one local Chinese - tasteless as well) this one had the lot, perfectly cooked & spiced.My friend ordered Beef, Spring Onions & Ginger with Egg fried rice.She didn't say a word when eating it, just got dug in - that alone speaks volumes ! She agreed that it was the best takeaway since we moved here.Both meals were so damn good we couldn't believe it - we thought that maybe they'd made a special effort as we were new customers, so we left it a couple of weeks & ordered the same meal again -- still brilliant quality & ample amount !I'd thoroughly recommend this takeaway to anyone wanting a REAL Chinese meal - I understand they do Mongolian cuisine as well, I must try that !We haven't had a meal in the restaurant itself yet, I imagine it will be as good as (or better) than the meals we've had delivered - I'll let you know !

We visited Blackpool for the night and decided to try this place, we were not disappointed. The service was brilliant but the food was something else. Absolutely beautiful, it was fresh and tasted so good. They even offered to box up what we had left. I just wish they were closer to home as I have never tasted food so beautiful

A nice find, especially in Cleveleys. Blackpool is not a plsce you associate with quality dining, so this restaurant is a real bonus. Great portions and quick service. A menu with plenty of choice. The restaurant is clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Love the wood carvings on the walls. Every time we eat here, hubby and I want to take them home! The only (minor) complaint is that much of the food is very Anglo-chinese, but it is still enjoyable and extremely tasty. Worth a visit - especially if you can make it for Chinese new year. Do not miss the dragon dance!

We visited on a whim and it was fantastic. We were offered a full synopsis of the menu and due to my dietary requirements (vegan/dairy allergy) every assurance was given with regards to the menu.

My friend and I had the Mongolian buffet Sunday 25 th August. We were well look after by the staff who were all pleasant and polite. All the meats were fresh and tasty especially the marinated ones. We had a lot of fun cooking our meat as and when we wanted to. We ate far too much. We will return !!

Came in as a family of 4 adults. We came in without booking prior and was welcomed straight in a seated without question. Food was amazing there was so much available we chose the set menu and all chose different items so we could share with each other and this was the best option as there was so much variety. We was greated by kind, friendly staff. We were served by Erin, who was patient with our tricky order and kept checking we were happy with everything.. The food was lovely and reasonably priced, had a great night with my friends!

Called to place an order and spoke to a girl called ‘Erin’ on the phone. We gave her our post code to be told that they do not deliver, despite having information on their website that says otherwise. ‘Erin’ queried this with another member of staff ‘Katrina’. ‘Katrina’ was rude and put the phone down on us. We called back to get the names of the staff we spoke to, to have ‘Erin’ (if that is even her name) try and lie saying she didn’t know who we spoke to and she didn’t know their name!

We went for our evening meal on a Thursday evening in June. Parking seemed to be a problem but we were told that you can park on the pavement, away from the road and close to the entrance. We chose from the set menus although they were set out differently to normal but once we understood we found it quite easy. The food was generally good and the service was fine. There were lots of large tables that could accommodate parties, with revolving centre pieces but it was quite quiet when we were there. All in all a very nice evening.

we went as my 9 yr old spotted hot pot and grill she is always making us stop at different places to eat if it looks good she's usually a pretty good look outer.,when she is in the car ..she had so much fun with the hot pot adding spices and herbs noodles and rice to the pot and slurping ,whilst me and other daughter grilled meats to our liking...low fat high protein we came out feeling brilliant -we didn't need a second mortgage to eat here brilliant ingredients and toppings lovely staff and well I can't wait to go again,,,ps other half went for set meal which was equally lovely...thank you

Although the outside doesn't look especially modern or inviting this is in total contrast to the quality of the welcome and the food within. There is a huge variety available and the buffet menus provide a huge choice and excellent value. If, despite the extensive menu you would prefer something different they will supply it, providing they have the ingredients! The food is freshly prepared and served quickly, in huge quantities and piping hot! We regularly travel nearly 70 miles to enjoy the fabulous food and lovely welcome.

We had the chicken curry and rice also had the crispy aromatic duck goood service food not bad would go again

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food is fabulous, not sticky or all tasting the same, you can really taste the flavours. The staff are just wonderful, one evening I ordered something I do not usually order and they rang me to make sure that is what I wanted. That is real customer service and the lady who delivers is a darling.

Beware of David so called manager could not run anything always check change and bill things have a habit of being added wrong all even better just don't go plenty more honest Chinese than David avoid or it will cost you

It must be years since I last came here but after hearing good things about the great fortune house lately, decided it was worth another try.

Hadn't visited for a long time but thought we would give it a try and so glad we did. Was not overly busy so did not have to wait long for drinks and menus. Banquet portions were a decent size and very tasty. Will be back for sure as it's nice inside after a refurb and the staff were great to match the food.

Ordered a take out from them on Friday night came within 30 minutes all hot. Absolutely delicious starters and mains love it wouldn't order from any other Chinese. Plus have been to the restaurant as well food fantastic and staff are helpful and engaging.

My newly wed husband and I ate here tonight for his birthday. All I can I say that every course we had was excellent. My husband and I opted for the hot and sour soups excellent then we had the main starters excellent and then for mains husband had the shredded chilli beef (OMG it was to die for it was amazing) and I had the chilli garlic chicken (that was to die for to) the staff and management were so friendly and made us so welcome. So highly recommend this Chinese restaurant and we both have decided we will make this a date night once amonth. Thank you Great Fortune House ❤️❤️

Ordered takeaway. When it arrived it was mainly cold with a few warm bits, as though the food had been reheated but very badly (I only live around the corner so nothing to do with distance). Wasn’t risking eating chicken not cooked properly so I binned it. Phoned straight away to request a refund, girl was passing onto Manager who wasn’t there. After having to follow up they refused a refund for inedible and potentially dangerous food, but offered a £5 voucher towards my next order which I obviously refused as I’ll never eat from there again.

Arrived 7.30 pre booked for 14 inc 5 children. Although the place wasn't busy the ones amongst us who had the buffet were still waiting to order their mains at 10.10 all the children were finished and falling asleep, arguing and moaning so we asked for our meals as takeaway so we could get the children to bed. He gave us a lecture about how he shouldn't allow this because people take advantage but agreed to do it as a special favour. The bill was huge and the food and service mediocre at best.

Totally disappointing, Soup was Like jelly, starters not bad, loved the mushrooms, but didn't make up for the incredibly slow Service. Only Six tables in at the time and 3 staff and still waited an age between Courses- and for an all you can eat Buffet, what a strange way to serve, no going and picking a dish then going back when ready, having to order off a fairly small Menu for each dish. So after waiting an age for our main, which was pretty bland, we just gave up and left. Definatley will Not recommend or go back. You can get a lot more for a lot less not far from them so can't understand why they are so expensive and so poor.

Had a lovely meal last night. The restaurant now has a 5star award which it thoroughly deserves. The meals are always first class and the staff are friendly. I recommend the banquet with chicken and sweet corn to start followed by mixed starters and finally we always have king prawns with our choice for an extra couple of pounds. We are blessed with great restaurants on the Fylde coast.

We moved to Cleveleys in January & have visited the Great Fortune House 4 times since. We have always been made very welcome. The food is excellent,always hot & plenty of it (too much really. We usually leave over full.) We normally have the buffet menu but the main menu looks very tempting & I'm sure it won't be too long before we try something different. There is always someone to explain what is the best food & the best deal. Looking forward to our next visit
