Second order from here since we moved to the town. Excellent quality food. Hot & Sour soup was superb.

New to the area and this was our first order. We chicken noodle soup and sesame prawn toast which were average, the toast was a little rubbery, that often happens when it’s in a container rather than a paper bag as it can steam. The mains of steak cantonese and singapore vermicelli were much better. Steak was tender and tasty and the vermicelli generously meaty and nicely spicy but not too hot. Will order again to try some other dishes.

Came early. Food was amazing, looked just liked the picture some of the best noodles I’ve had in a long time with fresh ingredients and I got free spring rolls thank you so much! The delicious healed my cold a little.

Girl on telephone has no customer care skills at all, so rude and even put phone down, as she didn't know how to deal with it. Her mistake and blaming everyone else accept her self🤡. We had take out order, rice was missing with duck dish and shredded fried rice had no soya source and was boiled? Food was nice but beware!

food was bland no taste too it chicken and rice and the chicken chow mein 3pieces of chicken and room temperature as well said it was between 18 o5 they set off at 1740 came here for 18.00 so took 20 mins oh and just like room temperature not hot either

We’ve been to China Red Poulton lots of times. We moved to the area 3 years ago, and it’s our go to Chinese restaurant. We’ve tried lots of different meals, and we’ve never been disappointed. The vegetarian crispy duck is absolutely delicious. Our meat eating friends loved it too.

Just ordered a salt and pepper box with noodles. All I can say is WOW. Absolutely amazing deal 20 and the box could easily feed a family of 4/5. Quality and taste is amazing. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Made super quick for us to collect too. Thank you

Missing item from order which spoiled meal

Well China Red or should I say China Dreadful !! Come back Peter! Joined friends for a pre Christmas meal as not eaten here for a few years. Wow what a terrible experience with only a dozen people In the restaurant all night, cold with only 2 poor Calor Gas heaters absolutely useless and smelly. As for the food please close your kitchen before we all end up poorly. Tasteless food unless you like pools of garlic and msg on everything. Just expensive rubbish. As you can see we won’t be returning.

The place is uninviting, no tables set up ready for customers, only bare tables. Also half dining area could be screened off on a week night when nnot busy as its to big to heat properly and was very cold. Plates where cold so halfwway through eating , food had gone cold. Sizzling prawns in a VERY runny tasteless sauce.

Very good and was ready on time for collection. Food was hot. Highly recommend China Red.

Tom Yum Chicken soup was excellent. The freebies were great, thank you . The duck item was sweet and we didn’t enjoy it. Why add sugar to a main course item?

lovely food however was disappointed that I ordered over £30 to get the free prawn crackers and didn't get them.

Good fresh ingredients, let down by lack of flavour on some dishes. Excellent salt n pepper ribs - huge and very tasty, succulent meat. The lamb and spring onion with garlic had no flavour of garlic and was bland overall. There was a very mild hint of spring onion. The salt n pepper chips lacked sufficient spice. I would like prawn toast a little more done with crunch and more sesame. Find it very hard to find a good Chinese restaurant/takeaway in the area and is add this to the average pile.

We love the food in the restaurant but got our first takeaway and was disappointed. The wrong main was sent but was able to get a refund for this through just eat. The chips tasted quite plain even though ordered salt and chilli chips, need much more seasoning, and due to coming in polystyrene boxes they were really soggy and tasted a little firm in places so not fully cooked. Other parts of the order were ok but has put us off takeaway and think we’ll stick to eating in

Takeaway standard of food doesn’t compare to the food served in the restaurant, you wouldn’t believe it was from the same kitchen unfortunately. Only thing I would order again would be the prawn toast. The salt & chilli chips and crispy shredded beef were awful.

Very tasteless and chicken very dry, chips tasted reheated so will not be ordering again it’s a shame as when eat in restaurant usually nice but very disappointed :-(

Delivery took 1.5 hours the chilli beef is rock solid can’t even put my fork through it the chilli chips taste plain and the rice is dry as anything

Tonight was the 2nd time we've ordered from China Red, take away both times. The first time was a couple of weeks ago, we were in Poulton at the time so just ordered here out of convenience. The 2nd time, tonight, we drove 25 minutes past at least two other Chinese takeaways to collect our food and boy was it worth it! Definitely our new favourite Chinese take away, the food is banging, the portions are good, the service is with a smile, straight 10/10 for us.

Never again.I have diarrhea,started 4 days ago and I feel myself horrible I can not sleep at night I wake up 3 times and Im goint to toilet. the food I ate had a bad aftertaste and was covered with a lot of sauce.

Food was great, amazing portions given. they were even nice enough to provide Prawn Crackers and Springs Rolls based on the amount spent. Arrived on time and followed instructions/note provided perfectly. Easily would recommend and will continue to order in the future.

Just too much salt unfortunately even after less salt requested, deep fried and coated with salt (or msg) to enhance the flavour, chicken main meal also lacked flavour,

Not great...floor was sticky. The place smelt of damp. Food was bland...staff were unattentive apart from the guy who took are order/ served us 10/10 for you. The people behind the bar didn't even look up when we went to the bar...overall a poor experience will NOT be going back ...sorry
