China Red in Wyre

We love the food in the restaurant but got our first takeaway and was disappointed. The wrong main was sent but was able to get a refund for this through just eat. The chips tasted quite plain even though ordered salt and chilli chips, need much more seasoning, and due to coming in polystyrene boxes they were really soggy and tasted a little firm in places so not fully cooked. Other parts of the order were ok but has put us off takeaway and think we’ll stick to eating in

Food and service OK. It's a bit like a works canteen. Not much atmosphere.

Takeaway standard of food doesn’t compare to the food served in the restaurant, you wouldn’t believe it was from the same kitchen unfortunately. Only thing I would order again would be the prawn toast. The salt & chilli chips and crispy shredded beef were awful.

Very tasteless and chicken very dry, chips tasted reheated so will not be ordering again it’s a shame as when eat in restaurant usually nice but very disappointed :-(

Restaurant quality food, respectful of food allergies and i know i live further than average but my order always arrives hot. Top marks all round, thank you.

Delivery took 1.5 hours the chilli beef is rock solid can’t even put my fork through it the chilli chips taste plain and the rice is dry as anything

Tonight was the 2nd time we've ordered from China Red, take away both times. The first time was a couple of weeks ago, we were in Poulton at the time so just ordered here out of convenience. The 2nd time, tonight, we drove 25 minutes past at least two other Chinese takeaways to collect our food and boy was it worth it! Definitely our new favourite Chinese take away, the food is banging, the portions are good, the service is with a smile, straight 10/10 for us.

absolutely amazing, one of the best takeaway Chinese I've had round here, food was amazing and piping hot, arrived 15 minutes early to the minimum arrival time, will be getting again. soups incredible, currys incredible and noodles also incredible. got to chinese

Never again.I have diarrhea,started 4 days ago and I feel myself horrible I can not sleep at night I wake up 3 times and Im goint to toilet. the food I ate had a bad aftertaste and was covered with a lot of sauce.

Food was great, amazing portions given. they were even nice enough to provide Prawn Crackers and Springs Rolls based on the amount spent. Arrived on time and followed instructions/note provided perfectly. Easily would recommend and will continue to order in the future.

First time ordering here and the food was so good. I got the salt and pepper chicken and shredded beef. I will definitely be back. I’ve not found a good Chinese in the area until now.

Just too much salt unfortunately even after less salt requested, deep fried and coated with salt (or msg) to enhance the flavour, chicken main meal also lacked flavour,

I had my fav Chinese take away, but I have tried China Red and prices + food quality is amazing, I don't think I will order from my old place again, delivery on time, just perfect customer service, thank you

Not great...floor was sticky. The place smelt of damp. Food was bland...staff were unattentive apart from the guy who took are order/ served us 10/10 for you. The people behind the bar didn't even look up when we went to the bar...overall a poor experience will NOT be going back ...sorry

Huge portions, of course, expensive , everybody leaving with " take away."Chicken is very dry, so if you want chicken and rice, better order a sauce.

We visited on May bank holiday Monday (our usual places were closed) so decided to give this a try. At the time we thought the food was ok and quite tasty, but unfortunately we were both unwell in the night and still feel queasy the next day. Perhaps it’s an ingredient we’ve not eaten in a Chinese meal before that’s the culprit but safe to say we won’t visit again. It’s also really put us off eating Chinese food again 😭 The prices were quite steep too.

We visited China Red last night to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it! It is excellent value for money at a time when so many places give less for more! We had a lovely time thank you China Red and please carry on as you are! Best wishes Helen

Really yummy, good quality food. Chicken chow mein was my favourite, also the mixed d’oeuvres, chicken wings and BBQ sauce were delicious too. No negatives from the family on any of it!

Salt and pepper munchie box wasn’t very salt and peppery, everything else was fine. Delivered quickly.

Family meal - 4 people - sons birthday, spoiled by £150 card payment sharp practice. After the meal I paid the £150 (Inc tip) bill by debit card, the pop up on my phone saying payment had gone through. Restaurant said payment hadn’t gone through and produced a “void” payment receipt. Not wishing to make a fuss at special occasion I reluctantly ran card through second time. Two payments of £150 now in my account pending and next day both showing as paid! £150 down, I visited restaurant early next evening and was stonewalled- first member of staff poor English, second member of staff referred to by first as manager supposedly phoned the actual manager who was not on site but “stuck in traffic” but still able to allegedly say they’d only received one payment of £150. Left my phone number for manager to phone me, no call received so progressed double payment via my bank! Beware of paying here by card. Food was average, all ruined by paying twice!

First time customer here,just want to say fantastic food delivered to us last night ,it was all amazing, delivered within 40mins at a peak time on a Friday night which I thought was very good, most takeaways take up to a hour and half on busy nites.Also very generous with freebies if you spend over certain amount. Order over £30 free chicken wings (big portion) and Prawn crackers this is fantastic, especially when some chinese takeaways no longer give prawn crackers free anymore for any amount you might spend,because they say oil to fry them in is too expensive and the gas to cook them is too expensive so no longer free,keep up the fantastic work chefs your doing a great job.

Ordered a delivery from here, took over an hour and half to arrive and never had Chinese food so bland in my life! Salt and chilli chips, no chilli in sight, bland and plain. Crispy shredded chilli beef, again no chilli or spicy. Mixed meat chow mien has prawns in… that seafood not meat, thank god I don’t have a seafood allergy!

Went on Monday evening, but not many people in food was great and service was excellent.

First time trying here and will be the last. Satay chicken had zero sauce, just a clumpy paste which was gritty and bitter. Salt and chilli chips was literally a tray of chips with about 3 pieces of fried onion. No chilli’s, no peppers. Nothing! The food was hot but most of it went in the bin. Won’t use this place again.

Absolutely dreadful for a collection order. I’m sat on the car waiting for my partner who is in there collecting the food 10 minutes after it said it’s ready to be collected. Then he gets told unless he has the exact name on the account that he can’t have the food (he gave them the exact name on the account) they then ask for proof it’s ready for collecting. 10 minutes after we got told we could collect it. And it’s not even ready. Dreadful.

Ordered capital spare ribs, beef in cantonese sauce, chicken chow mein and hot and sour soup. It was all delicious especially the ribs which had a good amount of meat on. Cant fault it. Will be ordering again.

The food was great as always. This was the first time I tried the vegetable lettuce wraps, I normally get spring rolls, they were amazing. The cold, crisp, crunch of the lettuce with the warm filling and hoisin sauce were 10 out of 10.

Using China Red as our regular Chinese takeaway now. fantastic value and good portions. The free chicken wings and prawn crackers are a bonus as well. It generally does for 2 meals.

Waited longer than normal for delivery

came for for tea tonight we all had the Chinese banquet hot and sour soup one had chicken noodle soup both lovely then we had the mixed starters all fresh hot lovely then duck and pancakes always pur fave dish then mains rice noodles garlic chicken beautiful one had beef black pepper very nice can't wait to go back

I live round the corner and the delivery time is bad. I also didnt ask for lemon sauce in the comments and a had spring rolls that I did not order and do not like.

Had to make two calls to the Reataurant. Possibly due to Chinese New Year.

Food arrived warm, not hot. The restaurant respected our choices. The tangy sauce was missing this time.

After finding a long hair in my bowl of prawn crackers and explaining this to the waitress, with the comment, really and then just walked away. The best was the final course when they they did not bring any rice to go with the main course, when advised to the English waiter he showed no compassion and just pulled a face of get on with it, when we finally caught some attention to obtain some rice we were told they were still cooking it !!!! By the time the rice arrived our main meals were cold. Shame as the food was good just need new waiters !!!!

We visited China Red for a meal with friends. The restaurant is well decorated with lots of good touches like the koi pool and spacious dining area. There are lots of food options available on the menu and also a really good value for money set menu option for sharing. I had the crispy chilli chicken with egg fried rice, and it was really tasty and perfectly cooked. Often with crispy chicken dishes, other chefs can go overboard with the oil and sauces, and it becomes a big soggy and chewy but not at China red it was just right.

Tasted fresh and not not like the typical gloop you get from most Chinese Restaurants in Poulton. Enjoyed it

Lemon chicken was actually lemony which is unusual, other restaurants have been too sweet. The noodles were great too.

1st time trying this restaurant and we had a lovely meal from them and delivered before the time specified. Will definitely being using again.

Greasy noodles ordered Singapore noodles was just chow mein noodles no chilli no veggies so much grease duck spring rolls smothered in grease dripping very doughy ... shredded chicken needs to be specified what sauce comes with. Best part of the meal the prawn Crackers

friendly staff, typical menu but also very extensive and the service super quick. Nice big tables and a lovely fish pond but it's a bit bright and spacious to be cosy.

It was all lacking a bit of flavour, bit bland but good portion size.

My new favourite Chinese, beautiful.
