Great service, good food and dog friendly which always helps

Been here many times. However had a table for 2 on Saturday 3rd of May and was disappointed. Young girl who took the order didn’t write down or anything. Ordered gin with lemonade, received gin and tonic. Ordered food, mixed grill with peppercorn sauce and the garlic cheesey mushrooms. Young waitress was slightly rude, food came out, no sauce or mushrooms, around 10 minutes later I had to call the waitress over to ask where they were, she said they were just doing them and she’d go to the kitchen. She then went to the till for 5 minutes, then proceeded to the kitchen to bring me a just warm peppercorn sauce and to tell me the mushrooms were being done fresh. Why would they only just be being done when I had ordered them to come with the food, had they been missed off ? Then on the mixed grill the pork steak was tough, I asked for medium rare steak ( steak came as was barely any pink, for medium rare it should be pink/little bloody). Other tables (larger groups) which ordered after us had received food before us. Overall not a great experience

Disappointing meal tonight. Dried mushy peas. No tartar sauce, hardly any chips. Garlic bread was stale and baked too hard to bite.

First time here for my birthday celebration and I can definitely recommend this place for everyone, because of no rushing, perfect meals and really delicious authentic English food, relaxing atmosphere and very polite staff

Adding to this as currently hear right now 29/04/2025 19:30 this place has gone to pot, it's so so bad, refusing people food saying the kitchen is to busy, 1/4 of the whole bar area is taken by dirty glasses and dirty plates, beer not being served in proper glasses I wouldn't even say it's busy, but whoever is running this place please leave and give us our old grazing co back, been sat on a table outside for 45 minutes still dirty glasses on hear.. an absolute disgrace Not sure what's happening hear, as a lawley resident it was quite sad to see, it almost looked like the pub is in a downward spiral, there was hardly any food available to order on what is a very small menu anyway, the server would have been quicker explaining to us what was available rather than what wasn't, there were people leaving because of this, no Sunday roast not even an onion ring available!!!!!! we placed our order and was told the items were available only for the server to come back and say it wasn't, I understand this is a busy place but as it is the only pub in lawley the management needs to take some responsibility for keeping up to date with what's in the fridges...And to top it off the staff looked utterly dejected. Shocked

Got main before are starter, missing the onion rings and then 15 minutes after we where told they didn't have any, the only saving grace that we didn't have to pay , they stopped serving meals at 19.00 , I was treating my family and night was spoilt.

I had been given the task of booking somewhere for a family meal out , 4 adults and 3 children ( one under 1 ) I haven't lived in the area long but my daughter had visited you before and so I chose you .. I'm so glad I did ! You were easy to find and a good big carpark, getting kids especially an under 1 out of the car is a cask and a half when space is limited . We were greeted with a smile from a lovely staff member behind the bar and after getting drinks showed us to our table and gave us the menus . Everything was very clean and tidy , something that is not always in a lot of pub settings. Great decor ! They gave us time to order and the meals were out in great time .. The food was lovely and well presented and plenty of them ! We all enjoyed our meals 👍🏻 we had a desserts too , and we weren't disappointed . A lot of the time desserts can sound amazing but let you down ..these were very yummy ! The price was exceptional for what we had . Atmosphere was good too and the staff were great . I / We will definitely be returning The cost was really reasonable

We booked on line, on arrival we were greeted and shown to our table. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt valued and relaxed. Service was excellent, very attentive and perfect. It was a really good experience and we didn't feel rushed, we could enjoy our meal and enjoy the afternoon xx

We went to the Grazing Cow, we hadn't been in a long time so I thought I would give it a go, we decided to have the roast pork and beef dinner, the meals came out and both were missing several items, no red cabbage, parsnips, stuffing, crackling as advertised on the menu, when we were ask we were told they didn't have any left, why were we not told when we we ordered these items were not available, we would have probably ordered something else, if you haven't got what's advertised you shouldn't be selling it, rather then trying to send it out without said items and pulling the wool over your customers eyes, we told the one waitress and she just said sorry and walked away, and couldnt care less, it's not cheap at the Grazing Cow, what was on the plate was nice bar the Yorkshire pudding which was dry and inedible, worst meal out I've had in a long time.

Seemed lovely staff. Problems came when my mixed grill came and I had asked for well done steak. It was black hard and full of pepper like they had dropped the pepper corns on to it. I tried 1 piece and was chewy and way too much pepper.I went to the bar to ask the waitress she came after 4-5 minutes by that time I was eating the rest. She said do you want another as in full meal or something else. I said dessert then please. After she went I found a hair I didn’t want to cause a scene so just carried on around that part. Dessert was lovely but those 2 things put me off as I hate confrontation but I was so disappointed in my steak. I was meeting an old work friend so was embarrassing. Place was clean and chips was lovely.

This used to be an OK pub for food. Very disappointed today. After a long wait scampi and chips were burned and they still served it to me. Sent back and it was replaced, by which time my friends had finished eating.

Firstly the waitress was snappy when i asked if the outside table could have all the glasses taken away when our food came out.. All the red sauces were empty. The outside table was rotten and almost falling apart. Steak was a bit knarley, not what you expect from £20 steak. Apart from that, pleasant experience

Went in today for our family Mother’s Day meal. Food was decent but definitely not up to the standard that we and many others it seems are used to here. We were shown to our table and the first thing we were told was that they had run out of sirloin steaks…not ideal when I would imagine this is a popular choice of food. The roast dinner itself was average although the carrots looked as though they’d been cooked hours beforehand and just reheated, they were that wrinkly. My lemonade was very sweet and had barely any fizz. As we were eating we saw numerous meals being sent back to the kitchen from other tables which wasn’t very reassuring. I then heard a lady from another table behind us ask for a certain dessert, which again, the lady was told they’d run out of. It’s a shame this pub is going the way that it is since it seems to of changed hands again…it was always the ‘go to’ for our family meals but now I think like many others we’ll be looking elsewhere…

Dreadful Good if you are on a diet as the food never arrived

This has really gone down hill from what it used to be. A long wait for the staff to seat you, get ready for long wait for your drinks and food to be ordered from extremely reduced food menu, unclean tables that your napkins stick to. The food was okay but had spent to long under the heat lamp waiting to be served.

Took over 30 minutes to take our drink order and 30 minutes to take our dessert order

Menu is very uninviting these days, it used to have a fresh feel now it's extremely basic but also extremely over priced. The burger and chips I ordered at a high price was barely thrown together and presented on a plate without so much as a garnish with no more than a dozen chips. It's priced at 3 times what a whetherspoons burger and chips is and frankly not worth it. Since 2020 I have not been excited by Marston menu and pubs for value and quality! The menu used to be fresh compared to other local pubs with the rotisserie chicken and tiger fries but since these have been removed the menu is extremely basic and out together without much care about presentation or taste. It's not worth remortgaging to eat there and would rather visit other establishments

The food was very disgusting,£18 pound for a small steak ,small handful of chips over cooked chips, and 1 tomato , , I refuse to eat it ,, and not paid for it , staff was very rude , I will not go there again ,

The welcoming staff were ignorant and not welcoming, the waitress was lovely. The service was EXTREMELY slow. A couple Who arrived after us had 3 courses and 2 rounds of drinks in less time than it took us to get 2 courses of food. They don’t have a food allergy folder and no one seems to know what allergens are in which foods - advised us to look on their website.

Can't comment on food as I usually only nip in for a quick pint if I am passing through. However, reasonably priced drinks and a good variety on offer. Good service and ample parking for families

Over priced for quantiy / quality of meal. No chicken or light bite option

Unfortunately this experience is most certainly one to forget. I would like to start with quality which was found wanting and also the pricing which regards to the curry dish is frankly verging on profiteering. We waited 50 minutes for our main course and we were also in a party with food not being served at the same time. The service was most definitely a disaster due to the staffing levels and no matter how many apologies the staff make to you it is a problem for the management to rectify. Weekend can be the busiest times and when you consider that tables are allocated via a booking system, then staffing issues should not arise. Very, very disappointing as it ruined my birthday celebration.

Picked a Sunday evening as its a quieter time. Food arrived in good time and faultless. Friendly efficiend staff made it a pleasant experience.

Lovely clean and welcoming pub with great food. The waiter we had a young lad was probably the best waiter we have ever had serve us anywhere total asset to the pub.

Really friendly staff, great knowledge, fast service & great food

Wouldn't go back I'm afraid ... the staff were polite but ... lemonade was flat, the sticky chicken starter was certainly not sticky ... it was dry and over cooked. Waited way too long for my main to come out, again the sea bass was totally over cooked and the sauce had absolutely no flavour. The veg was not as described on the menu, I swear the peas that should have been kale were from a tin. Really not impressed I'm sad to say.

I have only visited during lunch times, so other times may vary. The service is a little slow, and the quality of the meals can vary. They are not very generous with the amount of custard supplied.

We decided to spend our Saturday date at The Grazing Cow. And I was really amazed on the place, the place is very classy and comfy. The food is indeed amazing, I had Lasagna and its really really good. I really appreciate the service as well. We were assisted by Jess and she's really good at her job. She's lovely!

Amazing as always, had the chicken mushroom pie and the pastry was to die for, my Partner had the fish and chips with lovely flakey fish inside a light batter stunning, chips crispy on the outside and fluffy inside perfection. I recommend this to anyone wanting some homely pub food.

Myself and my family went into the grazing cow in lawley, Telford this evening and it was one of the worst experiences we've had. The lady who served us was lovely I can't fault her, however we were told when we arrived they had no chicken, no rump steak and a few other items however ALL the stuff on the children's menu WAS available .... They were wrong! So we ordered the dippers to start with but a few minutes later the waitress comes back to tell us they don't have any so we went with the chicken tenders, for her to again come out a few minutes later to state they didn't have any of those either. Very hesitantly we went for the sausage and mash (the chicken is one of my autistic sons safe foods so if we were told this to begin with we would have just went somewhere else, however we were sat with our drinks and our children were hungry) when our food arrived the mash looked like it had been sat on the plate for ages before it even came out as it was hard and the sausage was left as 'it tasted funny', to add to this I ordered the Tikka for myself the lady to come out a final time to tell me they had no rice but substituted it with chips (at this point I didn't care after a 10 hour shift and wanting to enjoy family time I felt more stressed and wanted to eat and go home) They could have voiced all this better and I left feeling more irritated than relaxed like normal, we then had to go and spend more on a quick McDonald's for my children because it was basically wasted food and they were still hungry. To me all this could have been avoided if they communicated better with each other but we left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed with what felt like a waste of time and money

Food was overall disappointing. The tender chicken strips in buttermilk were awful. They were extremely salty to the point my tongue felt burnt. My daughter couldn't eat the meal and ate only half a strip. We brought this to the attention of the server, at first we felt brushed off as we were told "that's how they come in". After explaining that we (2 adults) had also tried them as well as our daughter and that they were definitely too salty the server offered to take it back and that our daughter could choose something else. As our daughter has autism that was the only "safe" thing on the menu for her so she opted to go for dessert instead. She was happy with the sundae and the chicken tender strips were knocked off the bill. We (adults) had fish and chips and hunters chicken. The chips were nice but everything else was sadly mediocre. For dessert our daughter had the sundae which she enjoyed and I had the choc bomb. The pouring caramel was luke warm so it did nothing to the choc bomb and the brownie underneath was sadly frozen so not enjoyable. We were on a deadline to get home for our other child so just paid the bill and left. We are very local but don't feel we will be back. The place did seem clean and staff were polite. There wasn't many people there to comment on the atmosphere but it was bright and homely.

The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The food tasted lovely, however the sea bass was very poor value and extremely thinly sliced! By the time the skin was removed, there was nothing left! I expected to have a decent piece of fish for the price of 17.95 . Disappointing 😞

Went for the end of year quiz with my family; the quiz master was a good laugh and there was a great atmosphere with money raising for charity going on. Only had little picky bits to eat, which Leah was a great help with ordering and bringing out food out promptly. Leah was very sweet and kind. All the staff were friendly and helpful, all working very hard on the busy night. Issy and Aidan behind the bar were quick to help and were nice to talk to as they sorted out our drinks orders.

There's was nothing that we could find fault with. From the time we arrived, until it was time for us to leave. We were greeted at the entrance, and very quickly shown to out table. The waitress was soon there to take out drinks order. We were give a few minutes and then ask if we were ready for our starters. There was quite a little time before the main meal arrived, but that was to be expected fue to the volume of table that were booked in. When the main meal was finished, we were asked if we would like to wait a little while for our sweet or have it straight away. During the time we were asked if we were happy with everything. We were delighted with our Christmas dinner, but the only thing we were gutted about, was, that were were unable to clear our plates, as there was such a lot on the plate. But the food was top notch, cooked to perfection, and beautiful presented . Front of house staff were very pleasent and polite. We will not hesitate to recommend the grazing cow to family and friends. And we look forward to dining there again. Thank you to all members of staff for making out Christmas dinner memorable. This is a pub, it's a modern pub and part of a chain. That's not to say anything against it, it is clean and the food is constantly okay. That said it is a carbon copy of all new build pubs with the same easy cook meals and expensive beer. Nothing special but at least you won't be disappointed

The only pub ( i think) in Lawley Village just had a beer with 3 grandsons.

We came here for a meal from the festive menu. Food was pretty decent apart from a few very overdone roast potatoes that can be forgiven especially given how busy the place was. Turkey was nicely done and there was a decent amount of gravy, however we did ask for more gravy in a jug to share because we just like it and they were more than happy to accommodate. Christina looked after us and was very attentive, busy and friendly. We could see her buzzing around with a smile and a warm greeting to everyone else as well as ourselves during our visit. Overall, pretty decent visit and a nice treat within walking distance from home.

There is a huge influx recently of glowing five star reviews. Nine of them in one day a few weeks ago. All the reviews are very generic, many come from reviewers who have only left 1 or 2 reviews and all keep naming the server Christina. This all looks very suspicious to me...probably fake reviews.

This is our local pub / restaurant. We have been here several times because we want it to be very good and we want to tell everyone to go there and really promote our local. Sadly it's just not that place. Never been here and really enjoyed the food. It's just bang average and had experienced problems most of the times when visiting. The staff have always been pleasant enough but for the price it just isn't worth the product you are receiving. I think it has so much potential, great location but it really feels souless. Hate even writing this but I will not be in a rush to go back, they are lucky that they are the only pub in the village and the Grazing cow is really failing to capitalise on that.

Don't think will be going back . Should have known what it was like was ignored when we went in stood by waiting to be shown in gather it was the manager that walked past a few times no apologies for having to wait. Even the light bite food overpriced and not the best quality.

Had a lunch meal with a friend and the main meal was tasty but the gravy was very watery, we both finished with a crumble which was uncooked on the top, and containing stones in the cherries. The young lady behind the bar had a very sarcastic tone to her voice when we asked about the menu. Not a very welcoming pub and we certainly will not be returning or recommending.

Online booking was easy and worked well. Warm greeting at the door. Lovely atmosphere. Seated quickly. Drinks offered and delivered promptly. Our meal orders took a little long, but not a major issue. Servers were polite and helpful with my garlic allergy. Food was hot and tasty. Overall a good visit with the staff being very friendly and welcoming.

I booked a table online for 14.15. We attended on time and were shown to our table and given menus. A waitress came fairly promptly to take our drinks order and then returned with drinks and took our food order. The food came fairly speedily and was excellent. My granddaughter also enjoyed a dessert. I was defeated after a massove portion of roast dinner. I went to the bar to settle the bill as my dining companions ahd to set off on a long drive home. I did have an email advertising a discount (though that was not the reason for bookinmg on that date), but the discount was appliued without me requesting it. I do dine at the Grazing Cow from time to time and have never hada bad experience there. I will return.

On the occasion of brother-in-law's birthday - 4 in party. The venue is local to us so has always been a popular choice with us and complimented by the high quality of the food and the service by the young staff.

Thursday Dinner with my Partner .Service by Aiden was exceptional, unlike the food which was OK but nothing special.
