We were eating at 5 , when the waitress said we could go upto the carvery we was left waiting for someone to serve us for a couple of mins, we asked if there was gammon n told it had run out and there was just the remains of a turkey, beef looked too well done, I opted for the pork which was lovely, happy with the veg etc then got to the gravy and both were empty, trying to get someone's attention n we heard loads of voices in the kitchen , eventually found someone n asked for some more . Visiting relatives in the area so stopped for a bite to eat. We were greeted by roy behind the bar, a very pleasant perlite and helpful young man. We had the carvery it was very nice and good value. So all in all i would recommend.

Quite place which was nice had a carvery but wasn't very nice Yorkshires were hard n dripping with oil n the stuffing was dry as hell but great service

Lovely venue for a family meal for New Year’s Eve. Lovely waiter and all staff were brilliant.

Food was good drinks a little on the expensive side.

A last minute family drive out to the coast for an afternoon of fresh air which began with Lunch. The Grayling looked inviting and was a good choice. The Carvery was fantastic... Moist and flavoursome meat, everything was piping hot and delicious. The restaurant was very festively decorated and the Staff were very welcoming and friendly, even went the extra mile and presented my children with Christmas Crackers.

Roy was a brilliant server was really helpful with my daughter and bringing her colouring and toys to entertain her. And was very kind and funny. Thsnk you so much

Xmas time mid week under staffed stressed out staff hour and 20 mins wait for food get staff in your tables are booked you know how many people are coming and a carvery where they put your food on the plate for you I want to do that as part of the experience sort yourselves out

We went as a large family of 10 for set Xmas lunch. It was very quiet and we had half the room to ourselves which was nice fir the kids.

We booked a table for a surprise birthday, staff were good, speedy at the till, but you pay extra onba sunday for the roast, but TBH it wasn't a fair price even midweek, yourkshires & stuffing were inedible. Meat was dry, shame we normally enjoy it. My chicken kebab only had 3 minute pieces for £13.99 xx

We enjoyed our meal at the Grayling . Kirby , our server , was very nice and patient. She was very cheerful which added to this nice experience. Our overall time here was pleasant , festive and yummy. The festive mac 'n' cheese was especially delicious and very filling. However, the time taken to go get carveries was excessive and the chips with our festive burgers were greasy. On the other hand , we thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas crackers on the table which contributed to the Christmas spirit. We enjoyed the drinks; they all tasted as we expected them to. Our meals included: festive burgers , festive mac 'n' cheese, carvery and one of the vegetarian alternatives. Overall, we had a wonderful , Christmassy experience. Another thanks to Kirby our server.

Had a lovely server called Roy. Felt welcomed and everyone was very patient with my disabled father and my dog.

The food was really good (we all had the carvery) however, when querying why they charged more at the bar than ordering from the QR code at the table, the manager proceeded to shout at the bar staff from the end of the bar. Not a great way to deal with staff or customers. Cannot fault the serving and assisting staff, they were very polite and helpful.

I had the mixed grill and the steak was it was hard to cut and you couldn't chew it there was that much grissel in it I told the bar staff and the reply I got was it's rump steak in my opinion it shouldn't be on the plate

Went to the bar to order no one about waited a few minutes so went back to table and orders via QR code. Didn't know what to do and went to carvery and when the carver came she said we had to have tickets so had to wait at the bar! It would be better if they came up on my phone? Not many vegetables, peas carrots and parsnips. Positives;-Thanks for offering a meat free option and vegetarian gravy

Carvery was dried out and I have never been to a carvery that rations the roast spuds to three and the stuffing to a spoon ( it was served to the plate by the meat carver) Friendly staff but overall, not the best.

I had a really great experience here. The girl that served us was super lovely and made sure to double check everything with my allergy’s. She was very polite and making sure we was okay with our food etc. great experience

We had been looking for somewhere that would accommodate a family festive meal, the biggest bonus for us was being able to have the dogs with us. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so well looked after by your staff, who were constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping my five year old granddaughter entertained. Absolutely superb staff !

We regularly book up for our work nights this was our Christmas do and our waitress Karen was ever so lovely cheery and helpful during our visit we received great service nothing was too much trouble there was issues with one of the starters but Karen explained and resolved this promptly and was very efficient she happily took some group photos of us and was overall a joy which really made the experience and atmosphere great so Thankyou Karen! we had a variety of dishes from the festive menu which everyone was satisfied with the pricing is very reasonable and easy accessible location with plenty of free parking quiet in the restaurant (Sunday 5-8pm)

When arriving the restaurant was clean and presentable was quickly greeted and seated. there was a wide range on the menu to accommodate for everyone and ordering was easy by going to the bar where I was served by a happy member of staff. Food arrived quickly and hot and was checked on by the servers. Roy (our server) was so polite and made the experience so much better. He interacted with my children and made sure they enjoyed their experience as much as we did .

Had a lovely meal with my family this evening, been here a couple of times and food has always been yummy! All the staff were nice and welcoming! Always come here with the kids, lots of room, good food, and today the staff were kind enough to move us to a different part of the restaurant as we were sitting in an area where a large Christmas party then came in and were being a little festive and loud!

Visited this place for the first time Sunday and it did not disappoint. Roy was very helpful and friendly. As I have an allergy he made sure I ordered easily avoiding certain foods. He even entertained the kids for a bit amd went above and beyond to make it van enjoyable afternoon. All the staff very nice and helpful to be fair!! 10 out of 10!!

Food in carvery been sitting a while soggy carrot veg looked awful meat tough and not fresh not at all empressed

My wife & I normally use the grayling often & we have always enjoyed the whole atmosphere, service, & food. We arrived this Sunday as I noticed the car park was empty at 12.00 As we walked up to the pub entrance I noticed that only one person sat in the window eating, Again as we walked thru the door I again noticed plenty of empty tables, 3 people at the bar, & NO ONE QUING FOR THE CARVERY, we waited at the " wait to be seated station" & a young lady arrived, I asked " do you have a table for 2 for a carvery " the reply was NOT UNTIL 1.15PM!!! We turned on our heels & walked out. I get the pre booking system, but unless the entire pub seating facility arrives within the next 45 mins I can not see how or why we couldn't be accommodated. There was so many empty tables just within my vision span. Just on a business front, I would have seated any customer who arrived this early as they will probably be in & out before the establishment got busy My normal spend for Sunday lunch with drinks £40-50 for 2 Surely that £ would be better in the grayling till, than the other pub I found later on.

Roy was our waiter and he was amazing with entertaining our 4 children. Cool guy. Thank you dude.

Cosy feeling to the pub when we entered. Didn't wait long for the member of staff to greet us and take us to a table. Ordering our food and drinks ran very smoothly, and bar members polite.Food came at a reasonable wait. Unfortunately, on 2 of our Mega mixed grills,our steaks were not cooked correctly (asked for medium rare), but all were cooked very,very well done. The steaks were, unfortunately, all tough on all 3 mega mixed grills we ordered. Chicken breasts were all cooked just right (it looks dry on my photo, but I can confirm it was juicy inside) Sausages burnt on one side. The sausages were placed on the plate with the burnt side covered.Gammon steaks and eggs all cooked lovely. Chips and onion rings were cooked lovely. We are currently waiting for one dessert of chocolate fudge cake (only one adult wanted dessert), ordered at 4.40pm, and it's now 5.20pm. My husband asked if the dessert was ready after we had waited 20 mins, but no dessert had arrived. There are plenty of empty tables currently.. Now, 5.33 pm and no dessert have arrived... I wanna have a nap..... I'm not entirely sure we would return.

Really nice carvery. Staff very polite and friendly, particularly Roy who saw us to our table/made us welcome. It's nice to go somewhere where dogs are also made welcome which we appreciated 😊

Had lunch at the Grayling today with family. Food really good except my husbands steak was overcooked. Roy served us at the bar and brought our food to us. He is very efficient and extremely friendly, he couldn’t do enough for us. All staff are friendly but Roy goes that bit further.

Excellent meal, amazing service from Roy. Great interaction with my son to make the evening enjoyable. Would 100% recommend.

Lovely place for a family meal. Very friendly staff and noticed that it was dog friendly too which is great.

Roy and some of the colleagues were very helpful and offered excellent service, need to keep on top of gravy and sauces though as all empty and took sone time to replace.

Had a conversation with the waiter, really polite. And had really great food (mostly the pudding) …definitelly coming again!!!!

We ordered our meals via the qr code. The order was totally missed by the entire team we had to ask twice for our meals. They found the order, then the mains where delivered before the starter so we had requested the starters to come the mains where take away and put under a heat lamp or on the side…who knows! Then 5mins in the starters the mains came and they were very clear the same ones. Only mains that came where the ones that the kitchen cooked, not carver tokens which we had to ask for again. While the other mains went colder! Then the tokens came missing extra orders. The whole service was just awful, the staff just laughed it off and gave a half hearted apology along with the line we had a rush of orders..the place was only half full how can that be a rush.

A really great team. Lovely food, served quickly. Roy served us; he was excellent and the kids loved him. We need more like this in Birmingham. We’re here visiting relatives in Bradwell.

Very poor front of house, we were not asked to follow to our table the waitress just walked off! Then started beckoning from the other end of the restaurant it took another staff member to come and speak to us and politely direct us to our table for 8 people. The carvery was poor not a lot of veg available and one of my party had pork he was given a serving from the end of the joint which was predominantly fat. One of the party ordered a brownie sundae which when served was in a bowl that resembled two scoops of melted ice cream! in fact looked nothing like the description on your menu. When we complained it was replaced with yet another desert bowl of ice cream! So sadly our experience was very poor I have visited this restaurant before, and it was a much better experience, on a positive the make bar tender was very welcoming and polite I would say a credit to your company. Will I visit again? Highly unlikely,

Very disappointed used to be of a reasonable quality but now quality of food and service really gone downhill over the last 12 to 18 months certainly not going back

Just stopped off for a drink on our return to Norwich. Nice friendly staff,dog friendly and a well kept pub. Would certainly stop there again.🍻😁

We were seated quickly, the table was all sticky and horrible, and food was luke warm. The waitress serving us was not very friendly. The first time going here we won't be going back

All good, booked table, arrived, given table ok. No service. Have to order food and drink at bar. Carry own drinks to table. Both opted for carvery, which of course you collect yourself. So not able to anything good or bad about 'service' but friendly. The beef was very poor quality, gristle, fat, hard to cut. The rest, pork, potato, veg, etc were all fair standard.

Service brilliant, food excellent, hot and tasty. Really enjoyed our visit, hadn't been for a while.

Service was fantastic with friendly smiling staff especially Kirby. Food was very well cooked and nicely presented. Our kids left empty plates, two very big thumbs up from us.

Come for lunch with my wife and my mum food was very good felt very relaxed not rushed to leave table the service given by the waiter Roy was very good
