Lovely Sunday lunch, all very tasty, staff were very helpful and friendly especially Kiera.

Love coming to The Grayling for Sunday roast ! The food is delicious, the pub is clean and the service exemplary!! Roy was an amazing part of the Grayling team as a table host , looking forward to my next visit !!

We have recently returned from a mini break to Great Yarmouth and a meal at the Grayling was a highlight. After a stressful day with the kids we were worried about eating out but the staff were so kind and accommodating to our family. The food was quick with no faults and the staff were very friendly with our children. A special mention for Toni the manager who kept checking on us and made us feel very at home. We will back on out next visit.

Foung this place on line as needed a doggy friendly place to eat and am I glad I did, Had a nice little doggy corner with treats and water set up, the staff were lovely and so helpful, had a great drinks selection and food menu with daily deals on. Would definitely recommend this place only sorry I am only in the area for a few days but would definitely come back.

Great meal and excellent service

Keira was very friendly and kind and the food was lovely the jacket potato was cooked in the oven rather than microwaved it was so nice the chicken was cooked to perfection iv cone here a few times mow and each time has been a very good experience would just like to see sweetcorn and broccoli on the carvery that would be amazing

See the advert with the lovely carvery, so disappointing 5 of us dined here this lunch time to find soggy Yorkshire minimum veg which were all empty when I asked where the roast potatoes were he pointed a bowl of boiled and said they were the roast, coliflower cheese under cooked and gravy tastless, so many staff behind the carvery but nothing being done what a shambles and waste of £90!,,,,,

Very pleasant afternoon spent here with family. Staff were very polite & helpful. Food was delicious and presented very well. All in all, very good value for money.

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere & friendly staff. However the food let it down. I had the Mac n cheese with pulled pork. The menu says it's topped with Mozzarella & cheddar together with crispy onions - none of which was evident. It was very bland. Hubby had the Cowboy burger which seemed as though it had been left under the heat lamp for ages & was dried up. He couldn't even get his fork into the fries they were so hard. We would have ordered desserts but were so disappointed with our mains we decided to leave.

Booked early in week as we were going on holiday to area received confirmation and reminder. Looking forward to carvery all day arrived just before 6 pm as we booked for 6 pm only to be told carvery has finished as they are closing early for staff training (if you can believe it) mediocre meal very disappointed will not be back. The reply says guests were notified (on arrival at the door) So if you book at carvery establishment for 6pm and they stop serving carvery it may have been a professional idea to notify guests prior to arrival or ask if they would like to come earlier due to early closing.

To start with my diet coke was full sugar coke , my macaroni cheese was so small it looked like a child's potion , it came with garlic bread which was the size of a ten pence piece , and a little bit of salad , I will never return to the grayling, and I was a regular customer, its not good value for money

The staff were very friendly and smiley. A nice quiet restaurant with a good atmosphere. The food was plentiful and good. The service was fast and efficient.

Waited almost over an hour for our food to be brought out to us, no one had told us it was going to be so long, we’d only ordered burger a chips and a hunters chicken and chips. Only way we knew it was going to be late was because we overheard a waitress tell another table, no one really told us that our food was going to be a while, when it was finally given to us, there was no apology etc and we were just given the food. On our way out we decided to grab some cakes to take home as they offer a “cake away” service.…that we also waited 10 minutes for as they couldn’t amend the machine properly, lack of communication and cakes were handed to us wrapped up in tinfoil. - May I suggest better packaging? as the icing was no longer on the cake due to being wrapped in the tinfoil

The pub is rundown and dirty. Food was not at its best. I wouldn't recommend paying the prices asked to eat here.

Our server Roy at the great yarmouth location was attentive helpfully but most importantly had a great sence of humour.

Service was slow, waiting 45 minutes for mains to be delivered and wasn't even busy. Were over charged at the bar, only by a few pence but not the point. When food did arrive the gravy on the pie was congealed like it had been left under the heat lamp for too long, the food wasn't that hot and the top of the pie was burnt. Paid £30 for a main and a drink for 2 people, could of gone to wetherspoons for far less money and better quality. Unlikely to visit again.

Come here often and staff are lovely and friendly, always make an effort with my son. I’ve never seen Roy before but he made us feel very welcome and was lovely. Place wouldn’t be the same without the lovely staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very happy with the visit we had a large gathering for my partners birthday after a weekend away and they made it so easy for us to relax and unwind while the kids played in the fantastic play area. The food was very reasonably priced for the quality and were good portions. The bar staff kindly gifted my partner with a complimentary glass of proscecco for birthday. We will be back again :)

Not good No Steak on a Steak night Sausages discusting Problems with Gift Card

Awful carvery, boild parsnips, over boild vegetables, roast potatoes half rosted, difficult to chew and very dry. Only edible item was the yorkshire pudding. Had to leave the food. Staff were very polite and went to tell the chef No appology from chef, felt ignored. Won't be going again.

We booked a table for 18:15 and arrived slightly early. A waitress acknowledge us and said someone would be there shortly - and they were. My wife & I were shown to a small table for 2 just beyond the front door. Armed with our order I went to the bar to order drinks & food - Surf & Turf, Carvery, large OJ with no ice and a large Pinot with ice. We were informed there were No prawns so they couldn’t do the S&T and I asked my wife what she would like instead, she went for the sirloin. The gentleman behind the bar poured out a wine and put lemonade in it rather than ice - when he put it on the bar, I pointed out the error. He said sorry and replaced the drink for the correct one - he did say we could have the drink if we wanted - so we accepted. The bar man said he would give me a shout for the carvery so we could eat together. After 20/25 minutes the waitress came to our table, I thought she was going to tell me to go get carvery, but she didn’t. She now told us that there were no sirloin steaks left and would a rump be ok? My wife accepted the change but did say the rump was cheaper than the sirloin and asked for the difference to be refunded. She did and we received cash. Time was wearing on and my wife said I should go get my carvery. The meat was plentiful and cooked perfectly. Sadly the carrots, peas, cauliflower, roasted parsnips (I’m assuming so), roast potatoes and gravy were all warm - edible but certainly should have been a lot warmer! Whilst eating my carvery and my wife was still waiting on her rump, we saw another gentleman send his plate back. After I had finished my carvery my wifes steak turned up so we ate separately but it was cooked perfectly and her chips etc. were served hot. The table next to us had their dinner brought to the table. The lady told the waitress that what was put in front of her wasn’t what she ordered. The lady showed the waitress the description and pointed out what the differences were. The plate was taken back to the kitchen. When the waitress came back, the plate was still wrong - I believe there should have been brown rice included. The waitress told the lady that the chefs had followed their menu and they had no brown rice. Whilst that’s going on, there’s a lady behind me talking about where she was going to set up her DJ set etc. We then had staff taking the chairs & tables out over our heads, and the family at the table next us, of the section we were in. With that commotion going on, we felt that we were being a nuisance and felt pressured to leave! Surely, someone should have thought to block this area off - it wasn’t as if they didn’t have empty tables elsewhere! On our way out, we were discussing the issue and didn’t realise the singer/ DJ was behind us!! She then said the management wanted her set up by 8pm, but didn’t give her a hand with all the equipment she had! As a side note, I am disabled and to only have 3 car park spaces for a restaurant of that size, is a poor show! All 3 spaces were taken and we had to park some distance away from the restaurant. There should be double the number of spaces! The whole experience was not enjoyable. We regularly eat out and this is probably the worst restaurant we have ever been to! We would recommend giving this place a miss!

A lobely meal out! Very pleasant atmosphere, csterterdd to my diabetes to make managing the condition easier, efficient in bringing food out and very friendly in conversation and banter

Came here for dinner a few weeks ago, the food was lovely. A young lady called Keira served us, she was so polite and kind, and made sure our food was all okay

The food is average but the premises are grubby and tired with dodgy smelling toilet area and ripped seats. Staff were over stretched leading to getting completely wrong meals. Shame!

Had the Carvery absolutely dire! Only two meats on Gammon or Beef the presentation of rest of food on offer was disgusting peas cold and hard as bullets the carrots were turning black neither of which I had,a chap came from the kitchen and took a bowl of mashed potatoes which left none he did say he would get some Yorkshire puddings which he did but these must have been sitting on the side somewhere since lunchtime we we went in 6pm as they were cold and soggy,the roast potatoes were cold and sad withering at the edges when the lady came to clear the shed asked if everything was ok and was answered no because of all above another lady appeared on the scene and the same complaint was raised with her to which she promptly said she would refund in full. My late wife and I visited many times during the summer season as we have a property Yarmouth and this was her favourite place,enough said.

Had the mixed grill and was absolutely amazing! My sister had the loaded nachos! We both cleaned our plate!

Had a steak, which was over cooked, took an age to get served as only one person behind the bar. This was the case when we went back to order deserts, and also trying to order drinks.

I can never understand this type of place they onky cater for food . it was a sunny early evening so my partner and i thought we would have a nice drink ( it's my birthday ) . I went in to get just 2 drinks and ended up in a queue of 10 people waiting to order food why don't this type of place have a separate bar area for just drink orders we ended going somewhere else for a drink . I can't comment on the food

Myself and 2 friends went to eat in the Grayling on Friday 21st June at 1.45. We had to send 1 pint of bitter back it was dead and tasted wrong. We also returned the Latte as it wasnt hot and tasted very bitter. The portions of mushy peas and baked beans with the fish and chips were very small. The fish was lovely and chips were nice as well. The jacket potato with Tuna was very nice. The staff were friendly. We looked at the carvery and most of the veggies were dried out and discoloured.

Always are go to restaurant when dining out for a family get together as it’s good value for what you get. Today didn’t disappoint either. Always really good value and always a good plate full. We were here with family celebrating my son’s 10th Birthday. Special mentions to 2 staff in particular (Roy & Izzi) - Roy was excellent with my son and took a genuine interest as it was my son’s birthday. We took our own Birthday cake in and Izzi was so helpful when bringing the cake out. She couldn’t have been more helpful and so genuinely friendly. Excellent and friendly service from these two.

Always loved this place but the good stuff: Staff lovely, very attentive Place clean and tidy Bad: Ordered the hunters chicken and it was literally the size of a spoon (dessert spoon at best) I didn’t say anything as got the lunch deal. Bacon over done, what was the chicken even my knife couldn’t cut through it. Asked to give a review so thought I would explain the 2 stars. Has it put me off, no but will say something next time.

Came here for the Sunday roast, they have free parking with ev charging. So while my car charged, I enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast. It's a good portion size for the money

We have really enjoyed our daily meals in this pub whilst visiting the area on holiday. The staff couldn’t be more helpful especially as we are a family of fussy eaters. Food was lovely also would definitely recommend

The carvery was very tasty with lovely cheesy cauliflower. The meat was good. Shame there was no Pedigree ale. The Oxford Gold was not enjoyed as much. We will be back!

Sunday roast was lovely. The drinks were nice, the staff was lovely. There is an electric charger in the parking so bonus!

Friendly staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. We chose the carvery, which had lovely tender meat, the vegetables tasted ok, but were rather dried up in the servery. The vegetables need more regular attention and replenishment.

Food was very nice, just unfortunate the starters still hadn't shown up by time we were half way through our mains, so we had to cancel them. However they were busy and very apologetic, happily refunding the starters.

Staff really nice but was a long wait for food though and no roast potatoes on carvery. (And burger bun must have been kept under heatlamp or something too long as was rock hard) Shame as had potential to be very nice and staff were great.

We were a large party with kids and dogs and we were well liked after. Food was good, lots of variety to suit everyone. Friendly service meant we were well looked after.

The meals were better than the last visit, although disappointed you charge more for a carvery on a Sunday / Bank holiday. There were only 2 meats available on the carvery also as others had run out, and it appeared that many options on the menu were running out. My partner was disappointed that they ran out of Pedigree beer. Staff were lovely, service was good. We were also surprised to hear that the kitchen was closing at 8pm, at 7.30pm a member of staff was asked to contact people that had tables booked for 8.30pm, and ask them to come early as the kitchen would be closed if they didn't. Although this didn't affect us, I thought it was very unprofessional, and I would be surprised if those customers ever came back.
