Gravy's Caribbean Flavour in Kirklees

Ordered jerk chicken , got some fried chicken with curry sauce and a thin metal piece that I choked on

What a hidden gem, too happy to have come across this joint! Recommend to anyone who wants a real taste of the Caribbean, will be back for more and bringing everyone along to enjoy!!

Popped in for a breakfast box whilst in the area after dying to try gravys out due to positive reviews. The breakfast box had a little bit of everything and it all tasted amazing. The saltfish fritters are so savoury and tasty and the plantain tasted fresh and soft but not mushy . Will be back on Sunday to try the jerk chicken which is cooked outside in a drum ..wow Try it out guys and gals

Just had the most delicious mutton curry. Fantastic portion size and fantastic value. My only negative is that I don’t live nearby for it to be my regular. Highly recommend. 👌🏻

Had ackee, saltfish and yeah, the perfectly seasoned Gravy's jerk chicken. It was a burst of flavours, perfectly balanced, utterly delicious, created a reggae rhythm on my palate that left my taste buds jammin' 😋. The best Jerk chicken in Yorkshire!

I ordered pepper shrimp, ackee and salt fish dumpling and fritters..... Best West Indian in Huddersfield! Fresh, juicy and delicious! Plus the restaurant has good vibes, always served with a smile!

Service with a smile. Great food. Price not bad. Freshly cooked produce. A little 'nook' of the West Indies.

Was just passing by and could smell the jerk chicken getting cooked outside smelled amazing- thought I’d go in and give it a try ended up going for Curried chicken rice and peas. Wow I was not let down if I could give a 10/5 I would.

One of the worst iv had , 7 bones and 2 cubes of meat , no gravy , no flavour , just like a tray of boiled goat bones , dumplins days old cold like hockey pucks strsight in the bin , rice was decent but overall 2 of us just said same that was literally not worth buying or eatinh

Me and my colleague happened by this place today at dinnertime. I wanted the mutton curry but it unfortunately it wasn't ready, so we got Jerk chicken rice and peas. Man, thats some of the best jerk I've had! Well done guys!!

I love this place. Jerk chicken cooked every day on the steel drum bbq daily outside. Hard to order anything else as it's so good. Curried goat is also amazing. Great rice and peas, steamed veg with all meals. Love the fried dumplin too. Can't recommend highly enough!

Good authentic soul food...my go to is bbq jerk chicken which i know is popular-quickly sells out. Friendly reception.

Had some beautiful lamb chops with rice and peas, cabbage and gravy and hands down, the BEST rice, the BEST lamb, fresh ingredients. The owner was very nice and friendly, lovely looking seating area big enough for a few families to easy fit. Kitchen looks very clean and organised. Would highly recommend as I'll be going back to try other dishes
