If there was an option to rate this place, it would most definitely be a 0 !! I went here for the first time and didn’t have a good experience at all, the man that owns it is very rude and arrogant. I asked to pay by my card as it said on their website that you could do so, he didn’t want to let me pay by card at first and I were spoken to rudely about how it charges him to use his card machine and that he were getting rid of it next week due to the charges. Not my issue don’t advertise that you accept debit cards on your website then FOOL.

This place has gone down hill ever since the lady left Food tast like its been sitting there all day Donner meat is greasy n dont evan tast like its fully cooked Tell them not to put salt on ur food but still do And even ask for large tray of chips but thay dont listen n put it in a small tray like what is point in asking for something if u end going to listen to the customers ?

Just moved to the area and found this gem of a chip shop… very friendly staff and the kebabs are really good! Great tasting food and really good prices! Mixed meat and chips large was banging and only £7.00! Wow! Place to go and the best around that area for sure! Cheers guys back soon!

Friendly staff, only usually get chips and always fresh and tasty - especially when the new potatoes are in. Repeatedly visited for a bag of chips and always same great welcome and food. Would suggest that older reviews may have been with different staff/owners, as I've lived round the corner from gravelly chippy all my life and have seen ownership and staff change many times over the years!

Nice ppl that service, can have a laugh with them while they making your chips.

Best Doner kebab in Erdington You all know that the old elephants leg is of dodgy meat quality but this chippy buys the premium kebab. Look on line, there are various grades. The salad, always plentiful, is fresh and crisp. I could eat one now

Horrible service, bland food! Struggled to even get a bag to put my chips in. Curry sauce was water with a slight curried taste. I'd recommend driving further on to New oscott chippy

He comido aquí durante años y años y la calidad es constante. También es muy buena relación calidad-precio. Mini pescado y patatas fritas es suficiente para mi hambre con o sin guisantes blandos. El servicio siempre es rápido y muy agradable y puedes aparcar.

Worst chippy in Erdington went in for My Chips for tea There was this scruffy Bird serving with all tattoos up Her arms I swear I could smell her over the chips, anyway got Home ate some of the greasy Chips the rest went in the bin later I had the belly ache it was worse than delhi belly.

I don't think many people would mind if they shut this place. It's terrible. Well, only people with poor taste. They treat customers with little dignity. The food is poor. They don't seem smart enough to be able to make the connection between increasing litter in the neighbourhood and their shop. Even when some of their customers have dropped litter directly outside, they don't see it as their problem. Go to Atlantis Fish bar in Wylde Green if you want top draw fish and chips with people who know who to communicate with their customers.

Despite the snow, the freeze and the horrible weather Gravelly Chippy was serving delicious fish and chips on Friday. Pleasant staff, good service and reasonable prices for decent sized portions. The mini fish deal is really good. Trip advisor ought to be able to distinguish between a restaurant and a take away,

Good food and great chips that are well cooked and big in portion size for a reasonable price. Centrally situated for local people or those passing by.

Arrogant rude service, cold dried kebab meat, poor value and quality. Don’t go. Needed a quick tea so popped in for a chicken kebab. Surly service, server immediately went round the back to talk to his cronies. Eventually reappeared and pulled dried, cold and gnarled meat out of container rather than serve me anything near fresh. They must be economising as I had a dribble of the sauces I asked for and minuscule shards of salad. Horrible cold food and £4.20 I will never get back. And rudeness to boot. Happy New year!

Gravelly Chippy has been around for decades and has always produced good quality food at reasonable prices from a friendly staff. It also does kebabs, curry sauce, sausages and all the usual extras of a modern chippy. Surprised that this place was not on Trip Advisor. It's easily the best in Erdington. The mini fish deal is excellent value and enough for many appetites.

how can you work in a chippy for years and not know how to put salt and vinegar on chips? the mushy peas were like water too last time, if you get the wrong server its a total waste of money

Food can be good. A bit hit and miss really.
